    Hello Guys,

    I am from India and the new chromecast has still not released here. I am planning to import it from US. So, my query is that is there anybody from India who has already done that and is using the device here in India? What is your experience using it in a Geography in which it isn't released yet?

    Are you having any issues per se? Please let me know via which website you imported it. Your insights will be very helpful for me to decide to go through this purchase? Also, do let me know how much money should i pay at most for this device?

    Is there a TV app to browse and play videos on archive.org

    I'd love to be able to browse archive.org videos on my TV similar to browsing youtube. Ideally, such an app would also allow me to log in to archive.org so that I can view my saved favourites. Does an app exist already?

    Voice command to launch SmartYoutubeNext?

    Is there a way to launch SmartYoutube Next with voice commands? I've tried "open youtube next" but it doesnt understand. The original youtube app is disabled.

    Its for my mother, she just clicks the remote and shouts "open youtube" but the ads are a pain.

    Anyone have one of these projectors and have issues getting it to work? I have a px747, and with my Verizon stream tv (gen 1) volume works, but the power button doesn't. Then I tried with my TiVo stream, and no buttons will work at all after trying all viewsonic options.

    Buying a new Android TV, need recommendations

    I've been using a Samsung/AppleTV combo for five years, it's reliable, fast enough and a great UI. Now it's finally time to upgrade to 4K. Was almost gonna go with a new Samsung/ATV4K combo, but now I am very curious about Android TVs, as there seems to be a lot of TVs with Android built in. Looking at a 2021 model from one of the top six leading brands, don't need top of the line, but I can afford whatever I want.

    My past encounters with Android TVs have always been a sluggish and awkward UI, with limited configuration options, which almost never gets updates, so I'm still very wary. Can anyone convince me to make the jump?

    • Which brands are best at updating their firmware regularly?

    • Which brands have a fast, or the best, UI?

    • Which brands have no ads, or ads that can be switched off?

    • Any major brands to avoid?

    • Can I install/sideload YouTube Vanced or SmartTubeNext on any Android smart TV? I want a completely ad-free experience on YouTube as it has too many ads these days (we can't get YT Premium in this country).

    Whenever I try to install an apk it says: App not installed, i have plenty of space and the file isnt corrupted either, all permissions are turned on, anyone know a fix?

    FOR ANYONE WITH THE SONY SUBWOOFER THAT WAS HAVING CONNECTION ISSUES SONY HAVE AS OF 26/05/2021 RELEASED A UPDATE V6.7165 THAT HAS VARIOUS UPDATES INCLUDING

    "Resolves an issue where the TV can't connect with specific wireless subwoofers"

    Check your model in the list...

    Let us know if its worked for you (i have not yet tried)
