Posted: 27 May 2021 05:32 AM PDT Hi, so recently I discovered that Google drive had apparantly saved every picture I had taken with my mobile phone, which I didnt know about. I had taken some private pictures that I really dont want to have stored in the Cloud. So I tried to delete them from drive, which I thought I had succeded with. But when I open the regular gallery app on my phone the pictures seem to be gone from there as well, only the tumbnails are still there in my album. So the photos are still there, only when you click on them a grey image with an exclamationmark pops up. Whenever I try to delete them from my gallery, a massage pops up saying that it couldnt move the pictures to the recycle bin. How do I remove these pictures from my gallery? They are gone from drive and from the files folder on my phone, so why are they stuck in the gallery app? [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 27 May 2021 12:36 PM PDT Im having a problem with the default file app where it is blocking some open with option. I cant find any way to access settings or anything for this application. Is there any way to mess with the files application? Full break down of what I'm trying to do: I'm trying to add a chrome extention to the kiwi browser app and that requires me to use an app called total commander. I need 1 of 2 options total commander give named "TotalCmd (file://url)" this option select files differently somehow that no other app will work but files is not displaying this option and other Androids dont have this problem. I move some files into my micro sd card that replaced other files in the transition, and out of nowhere, 8 additional gigs were added to the card. I don't know how to delete them because I can't find them in any of the folders, hidden or otherwise. I know this is a weird, vague sounding problem, but does anyone know of a way to root out those 8 missing gigs? When I scan each folder on my sd card, the files add up to a number that is 8 gigs lower than the space the SD card is saying has already been taken up. How do I fix this? (Phone is an old Huawei). | Missing Texts while phone is off. Posted: 27 May 2021 11:56 AM PDT I'm part of a group text thread made up of iPhones and Androids. I always turn my phone off at night. Any texts sent (while it's off) do not show up, when I turn my phone back on. So, I'm wondering if this is an iPhone problem (connected to iMessage), a Verizon problem (my carrier), or a Google Messages (with chat features enabled) problem. I will say I've seen similar behavior whether the sender is using iOS or Android, so I'm thinking it's likely the latter two possibilities. Whenever I use netguard or no root firewall these 2 apps pop up as using data, sending data to amazon and other servers. I have searched the whole device to find that ghost file named. It appears as Vanced Microg(Uninstalled) on netguard and no root firewall. Like how to completeley remove it? [link] [comments] |
| Deleted picture is still somewhere? Posted: 27 May 2021 11:36 AM PDT Hello everyone, today I came across a strange bug? or something I can't explain to myself. I downloaded some pictures on the internet and tried to move them to a folder with Google photos. And they disappeared. I looked into my data manager app and they were there, in the folder I moved them to. so I thought something went wrong and deleted them. Then I wanted to try redownloading them and Chrome says that there is already a file with the same name in my download folder. I looked but there isn't. Not in my data manager nor in Google photos. I cleared all caches for the apps and also deleted die data for Chrome and photos but it still says the picture is there. Do I miss something or what happened there? [link] [comments] |
| Galaxy A42 face ID suddenly stopped working, locked out of phone Posted: 27 May 2021 11:21 AM PDT I think yesterday, I reset my security pattern but then promptly forgot it. I was using face recognition to unlock my phone rest of the day yesterday. As of this morning when I woke up, face recognition was no longer working as if It was turned off completely (no swirling pattern on the screen around front camera, no "unable to register face", nothing). I neglected to register my device so unlocking it online doesn't seem to be an option. Phone is fully charged so camera isn't disabled cause of low battery. Tried glasses on, glasses off, moving to a brightly lit environment, none of that worked. I'm really hoping to avoid mailing it to a service center. Anyone have any suggestions? [link] [comments] |

| Unable to boot stock firmware (stuck on boot animation) after reinstall Posted: 27 May 2021 10:13 AM PDT I have an Xperia Z3 Compact, which I primarily use for all that root stuff. I got kind of bored of Lineage, so I flashed the FTF file (using the Sony Mobile Flasher). After that, I rebooted to the boot screen. Nothing happened for quite a while. I let it do it's job for a whole hour - nothing. I dropped Lineage recovery and wiped /data and /cache - still nothing. What can I do to get it to the setup screen? p.s. | Galaxy S9 Keeps Crashing! Please Help! Posted: 27 May 2021 08:54 AM PDT Hello everyone, My Galaxy S9 was working pretty well, except for some lag here and there, until last night when it randomly froze and restarted. I noticed it was extremely hot, so I powered it off and removed the case for a while after a few restarts thinking it just needed to cool down. Turned it back on when it cooled and the same thing was happening and it was even starting to get extremely hot again, so I rebooted in safe mode. To my surprise, safe mode ran cool as could be and had zero issues. I thought this ruled out any possibility of it being hardware related, so I started removing apps and files that I thought could've caused such problem; still nothing. Next step was to reboot into the BIOS menu and clear the cache; nothing again. I gave up and decided to do a factory reset after backing up my important files. It seemed to work a lot better and the crashes were less frequent, but they were still there. Most of the time the crashes occur when I'm multitasking, or when I try pressing a bunch of things quickly, but sometimes the crashes are random. It's not nearly as hot after the factory reset and safe mode still works great. What could be the problem? I'm starting to think it's the RAM or CPU at this point and maybe safe mode runs lean enough to avoid this problem. Any thoughts and suggestions are much appreciated!!! [link] [comments] |

Now I want to access the internal storage from that backup. There are 5 files named storage.ext4.win000, storage.ext4.win001 and so on... How do I open these files? | Does the Moto Edge Plus still have hardware issues? Posted: 27 May 2021 08:34 AM PDT I've got a Moto Z2 Force from release, recently it's been glitching out and freezing for a few seconds in the middle of doing tasks, getting mildly hot on basic things it used to do well. Was hoping there'd be an Edge+ 2 released sometime this year. But I can see no official rumors or dates for it... Usually they release a flagship phone in June right? I would've got the Edge+ last year, but I saw a plethora of issues surrounding the screens going green, purple, etc. My main vice on tech is to always buy second gen (as we can see first gen Edge+ had many issues) so I've got fingers crossed for a successful Edge+ 2. If my Moto Z2 Force decides to tank on me, are the hardware issues with the Edge+ fixed in recent manufacturing batches? Saw on a few blogs that there was a mild recall for certain IMEI numbers of the Edge+ at Verizon stores form their stock, back in the fall and early winter. Tried factory resetting it didn't help! Then took it to a local repair shop he couldn't diagnose the issue,& said something is wrong with the software, he also changed the software it was running Android oreo & he changed it to android 10 Still didn't resolve the issue. Called it a lose. | Stuck in weird power savings mode Posted: 27 May 2021 07:31 AM PDT I was switching to maximum power savings mode on my Samsung galaxy s8, when it crashed while doing so. The phone automatically rebooted and upon unlocking it was in a state similar to maximum power savings mode (with most all apps disabled), but there is no screen dim or other power saving effects. I cannot leave this broken state and my phone is somewhat useless with most all of the apps disabled, if I click the power mode button nothing happens. | Apps rebooting when doing certain things. Posted: 27 May 2021 06:42 AM PDT What can be te reason for this and how do I fix it. There are certain things that I will try to do on an app and the app will just restart so Im never able to do it. A couple of examples. on facebook app when I want tochange the audience, once I set the audience to exclude certain friends when I go to save the status usingthat audience the app will reboot so it never saves the audience changes. Today, I was on my bking appp having to send an important message with a photo attachment. I cllick to attatch a photo and the file manager thin opens so I go through and select the poto. Once the photo has been selected and I try to attach it the app will just reboot so im never able to attach the photo. Im using a Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 on the latest firmware [link] [comments] |
