    Does RAM affect performance ?

    Posted: 02 Feb 2022 06:48 AM PST

Performance as in FPS / smoothness, I know is the case on PC where RAM can make a big difference, but what about phones ?

Would 6gb vs 8gb make a difference (gaming wise) ? Or should I just focus on the processor/GPU ?

    Point and click games

    Posted: 02 Feb 2022 10:23 AM PST

I go through point and click games pretty fast and I'm having trouble finding some good point and click games with storylines to play.

I've already played the broken sword series and a lot of the free ones I've found on Google play. The only platform I have available to me at the moment is my phone. If you have any suggestions please comment. I've played games like thimbleweed Park, the infamous machine and angelo and deemon and I loved them. Hoping to find more. I also love games like myst and siberia

    Thank you

Recommendation for an Android Gaming device

    Posted: 02 Feb 2022 10:20 AM PST

I've been looking around at various devices and am trying to avoid using a cell phone.

    Looking for:

    • Form factor like a switch
    • Larger screen
    • Emulates up to PS1 games
    • Bluetooth headphone compatible

I'd like to find something budget friendly. Used/Ebay is an option. I'm currently using a PSP, but would like something larger and Bluetooth compatible.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Is there a way to transfer an older version of a game from a different phone?

    Posted: 02 Feb 2022 08:49 AM PST

I downloaded a game from the app store a while ago and unwisely had auto-update on. When the app updated, it sucked, the ui changed, the way it worked changed, everything. My mom also downloaded that game but is smarter than me and hasn't updated it. Is there a way for me to get the older version of it on my phone?

Using a phone cooler while playing & charging

    Posted: 02 Feb 2022 06:01 AM PST

I had this idea of doing as such because from my understanding previously playing while charging phone was not a great way to go as it will generate more heat (Play + Charge) that can hurt the battery lifespan. Now we have phone coolers like Black shark... I was thinking so now i guess its ok to charge while playing as long as your phone cooler is on ... Am i right?

Lost Vault is so refreshing. It's amazing to have a game that respects your time and easily fits into the schedule of normal day to day life. Are there other games like this that I just don't know about?

    Posted: 02 Feb 2022 07:43 AM PST

First I am not affiliated with this game in any way I just really appreciate it.

I just wanted to give a shout out to the game Lost Vault. I work full time, have family commitments and other hobbies I like to pursue as well so my time is very limited for gaming. Lost Vault fits into my life style just perfectly, taking 15min to 20min twice a day and that's it. No P2W no way to gain huge advantage by sitting on the game all day, an even playing field for everyone. It's an MMO RPG but it remains simple enough to easily digest while deep enough to keep me coming back.

I really wish more games were like this.

Is there ay other games out there like this or do others see the appeal of this model? Maybe I'm just a niche in the android gaming market

Why does mobile games require you to download only a small amount of the app from the Google Play and download the rest on the app itself?

    Posted: 02 Feb 2022 03:30 AM PST

Every game I play is only a few MB on Google Play, just so I open the game and need to download almost 1-2 GB of the rest of the game. Not saying it's bad, just curious about it.
