I use samsung browser on a generic phone and this prevents viewing saved passwords. Posted: 05 Sep 2021 08:41 AM PDT I know if it was a branded samsung device this wouldn't be the case. Anyone know a workaround to view my saved samsung passwords in Samsung browser? All I can view is the username and websites. [link] [comments] |
Android Keyboard and Mouse help? Posted: 05 Sep 2021 11:31 AM PDT Hello there guys, i am trying to plug a Logitech MK220 mouse and Keyboard, it is a device that plugs via usb, i plug it in an adapter usb and then to my phone Huawei Y9S(compatible with OTG just in case). I want to use it in games but the keyboard doesnt work at all except the arrows and the mouse pauses every game with right click. I tried in Roblox, Neverwinter Nights and Sonic Robo Blast(android port). The last two let me configure buttons and the keyboard responds, for example, move up it lets me press W or other button if i want, but in game it doesn't work. Is there any app i need to install or how can i configure it? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Sep 2021 11:23 AM PDT My new Oppo phone is experiencing poor battery life. Around 4hrs+ SoT when users say they get about 6hrs. Factory reset might help but it's gonna be a hassle to do that. There's this option to only factory reset your system settings so basically you don't lose any data on your phone. Does this reset system settings help with battery life? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Looking for advice on transferring music from iphone to an android and keep playlists intact Posted: 05 Sep 2021 11:22 AM PDT From the apple phone to the android version of the app on the Samsung phone. The 'download from the cloud solution' won't work as my collection has stuff from apple music and also tracks that aren't available from apple's catalog. I basically want to translate the playlists as they are on the iphone exactly to the Android device. My partner had such a horrible experience changing from android to iphone years ago that he never wants to change back. I'm hoping if there's a way to seamlessly transfer his collection back to android we can be a usb-c only house. [link] [comments] |

Help with unknown apps icons appearing in background in every app Posted: 05 Sep 2021 12:25 PM PDT Hi everyone and thanks for any help you can give me. You can see here my issue: https://ibb.co/rfF4Sb5 A little bit down from the center of the image you can see some apps icons in transparency, they are not my apps because my theme is totally different, they are not my homepage apps because if I move them the apps in background do not move accordingly. These transparent icons do not appear in the home pages but only in every app I open, even the browser and the games. My phone is a Samsung galaxy S9+ and I never touched anything or messed with the OS or other things. What could cause this? [link] [comments] |
Recovering 2FA without touchscreen Posted: 05 Sep 2021 11:10 AM PDT Hi, my phone broke, the right side of the touch screen doesn't work (preventing me from inputting the PIN), I have Google Authenticator on there and I was wondering if it is possible to recover it somehow. [link] [comments] |

When i show hidden files, there's a .um folder inside the obj folder and then there's nothing inside the .um folder. Sorry if you find this question stupid. [link] [comments] |

How is my storage space completely filled up when I only have like 3 apps? Posted: 05 Sep 2021 06:30 AM PDT We were recently trying to download an app (Pokemon TCG O) and instantly ran out of space. I've looked through the settings and deleted pretty much everything possible, and there were only about one out of 16 gigs free! What's taking up all that space?? Now I have a 32 gig SD card inserted, and I need to format it as internal memory, right? I looked up how to do that online, but there is no "Storage" option in the settings bar. I am running Android 8.2.0 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet, although it is pretty old. Can anyone help? TL;DR No space on my tablet, how do I format SD card as internal memory? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 05 Sep 2021 04:55 AM PDT Hi everyone, Sorry for the long title. A few days ago I took delivery of a Sony Xperia 5 Mk2. I'm really liking it so far, but I'm running into a couple of mildly irritating issues. I don't know if the issues are with Android or with Sony's distro specifically though. I just want to know if there's something I can do over ADB or without rooting to fix them. The first issue is that under every app, the option for background restriction is greyed out (all other settings are accessible). I want to change this for Spotify specifically. On my previous S20 (regardless of all its issues that made me get rid of it), I could open Spotify, lock the phone and let all my music download. With the X5 it automatically sets the app to sleep and stops the download. I've got over 9.6K songs to download, so far it has taken me over 2 days to do about 5K. I'm currently getting around it by stopping the phone from sleeping when plugged in (from dev options). The second issue is that although I've enabled the setting in DO, I can't move apps to the SD. I could do this on my S20 (running A11) for most apps without issue. Again, I want to do this for Spotify because it was designed by imbeciles. After restarts, the SD initialises after the internal storage (or at least it did on the S20). I've set Spotify to download to the SD, on boot if it doesn't detect the card, it automatically switches to the internal storage so it initialises a download again. Worse still, if I set it back to the card in the settings, it doesn't then detect the existing files, so it starts a download again. I don't want to download over 83GB of music every time I restart the phone. Thanks for any help. [link] [comments] |
backlight randomly flashed when the phone was not being used. Posted: 05 Sep 2021 04:19 AM PDT Hi guys just quickly wanted to ask if anyone had a situation that the backlight briefly flashed when your s10 was down? I've noticed it just moments ago and got scared as there was no new notification and I wasn't using the phone. Ui 3.1, I updated a few days ago. I checked gestures and stuff like that but I didn't see any mention of the flashlight, plus there is no flashlight icon on the screen. The light flashed once, then I grabbed the phone and turned it around, and the flash turned on for 1-2 seconds, and turned off. Interestingly, the light was not as bright as it would have been if the flashlight was turned on in a regular manner. I think I am going to assume that it was just a glitch or something as I can't find anybody with a similar situation. Anybody experienced that as well or am I going crazy? [link] [comments] |
My Uncle Passed away and now my family is trying to get me to unlock his phone. Posted: 05 Sep 2021 01:06 AM PDT Basically about 2 months ago my uncle passed away, and now my mom wants me to try and unlock his old LG K20 Plus TP260, but I have no clue how to do this kind of stuff, and apparently my aunt said she tried going to T-Mobile (even with a death certificate) and she said they wouldn't budge so now they're left with no options other than attempting to brute force it. She's very adamant that they want access to the entire device and not, just the pictures, which I said are likely very easily recoverable through the SD card. I've tried using Android multi tools, but unsurprisingly it seems my uncle was not the type to bother rooting his device, so are there any other options? [link] [comments] |
How secure are Android's default media player/image viewer? Posted: 04 Sep 2021 03:21 PM PDT Hey, I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit for this, but I have a question. Because of work, I have to download a lot of media files from the internet (images, mp4, mp3, m4a, jpg and etc). Though, I'm really concerned about my phone's security, since my work phone happens to be my personal phone. As far as I know, getting infected by a media file is extremely unlikely, but since I have to constantly download media files from the internet, what can I do to lower the chances of getting a virus? Can I trust Android's default media player/image viewer? If not, which ones would you choose if you were on my shoes? [link] [comments] |

Phone Won't Go To Sleep (Oppo Reno 2Z, Android / Colours 11) Posted: 04 Sep 2021 11:04 PM PDT Edit: I'm getting downvoted. If this isn't the right sub for this kind of advice, I'd appreciate being pointed in the right direction. Hi everyone, I'd appreciate any help you could give for an issue with my Android phone. Let me know if this isn't the right place to post this / anywhere else I could get help. I recently bought a refurbished Oppo Reno 2Z. It's a couple of years old, and was running Colours 7 or 8 when I got it. (Colours being the Oppo version of Android.) It's updated a few times since then and is currently running Colours OS 11.1 / Android 11. However, I've been having a problem recently, which didn't exist when the phone wasn't updated (though I can't be 100% certain that it was caused by the updates). My phone screen won't turn off. It starts to go dark, then momentarily turns black, then immediately comes back to life. It goes through this process over and over again. Initially, it only happened when I was playing music. Then it also happened whenever the phone was on charge at night (so I just placed it facedown). Today it became constant. If I press the sleep button, the lock screen lights up a second later. Btw, I almost never see the always-on display anymore, which I set to a clock. Occasionally it does appear, but I'm never sure why. It's sometimes the clock I set when I got an update for that, and sometimes the phone's original always-on clock. I've played with a lot of settings trying to figure out what's causing this - the updates, or a specific app maybe - but so far haven't found anything. I also contacted Oppo customer service, who made these suggestions (which didn't work):
Thanks in advance, I appreciate it :) [link] [comments] |
