Live TV streaming has stopped working - any ideas? Posted: 04 Oct 2020 02:10 AM PDT Hi all, Been using my android TV box for nearly a year now abroad, watching various live news and sports channels. However, over the past few days the apps I normally use to stream have stopped working. When trying to load a channel, I'm given the error message "error opening channel". This is the case for all channels regardless of country, and on both of my apps that I use (IPTV extreme and Cloud TV). Any ideas on what the problem might be or how to fix it? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Oct 2020 12:14 PM PDT Anyone having this issue? I can ask Google "turn off living room tv" and it turns right off. But if I ask google home "turn on living room tv" or if I ask google home "stream nest driveway on living room tv" or I use my phone to manually cast something to the Google TV it will not turn on the TV, I have to use the remote to turn on the TV first. All of this does work on our Chromecast Ultra when plugged into the same HDMI port on the tv. Any ideas? [link] [comments]
Launcher X Crashing (Nvidia Shield TV - Tube) Posted: 03 Oct 2020 08:50 AM PDT I reset the Shield to factory defaults and installed Launcher X, Google base, and the newest version of Google TV (Google Play Movies and TV). The default launcher is disabled via the adb. It is ok for the most part. But the launcher randomly crashes when returning to it from using a streaming service and taks about 10 to 20 seconds to load up. Anyone else experincing this? [link] [comments]
Remove Verizon Stream TV Channel with ADB Posted: 03 Oct 2020 12:20 PM PDT You can remove the Verizon Channel on the Stream TV by enabling developer settings and using the follow ADB command: adb shell pm uninstall -–user 0 com.verizon.tv.customization After that, clear the data for com.google.android.tvlauncher (note: will erase your home screen settings) The Verizon Channel should now show up as the last one when you scroll down. Press the left button until the minus sign appears and you can remove it. Minus the Verizon boot logo, this makes it a vanilla Android TV box. [link] [comments]

Chromecast/GTV will not read any NTFS or exFAT flash drives. FAT32 works. Posted: 03 Oct 2020 03:24 PM PDT Adapter I am using: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B089M7WSHM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00 Full disclosure I am using the default cable and AC adapter. The CCGTV sees all of the drives I've plugged into it. 256,128,64OTG,16. When they are formatted FAT32 it sees them all just fine but when formatted to exFAT or NTFS it just shows 'X is safely ejected' and never loads. I know people who have it have said they are getting 4K files to play off external drives and no way in hell a 4K file is under 4GB so it must be exFAT or NTFS. Is this just a power issue and I just have to buy a more powerful AC adapter or do I need a different adapter all together or am i just really doing something wrong here. Everything else with it is great but this is something I really need to have working and part of the reason I wanted to get these as I'm a techie and can easily work around other ways but multiple people I'm getting setup with this are not and barely know how to use a remote so I was hoping that this would be easy. Like I said i"m good with buying an adapter just wanted to make this post to find out if that's what I need to do or if there is something else going on. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
Input button compatibility with Samsung TV Posted: 03 Oct 2020 01:30 PM PDT Chromecast with Google TV input button is recognized by the Samsung TV KS8000, but there is no way to select the highlighted input. Once the input is selected, one has to wait for the menu option to disappear by itself, which is a very long duration. My remote is set to IR setting for this. CEC doesn't work. Has anyone experienced same issue with a Samsung TV? [link] [comments] |
