Double tap Home button for multitasking Posted: 02 Aug 2020 07:00 AM PDT I just discovered that tapping twice on the home button on my Shield Pro 2019 brought up the multitasking screen with recents apps. Didn't test it with my mibox S though. [link] [comments]
Modify Remote Control via Bluetooth/PC Posted: 01 Aug 2020 10:18 PM PDT I want to change the buttons on my AndroidTV remote control, particularly the app shortcut buttons. Button Mapper would be my first option, but that has some flaws, especially when it comes to the volume buttons. Is their anyway to connect one of these remote controls to a pc via Bluetooth and modify its commands there? [link] [comments]
Is it possible to play DolbyVision content over local network? Posted: 02 Aug 2020 04:04 AM PDT Hey everyone. I have a Hisense 50H8F which supports DolbyVision, but only in certain apps, like Netflix or built-in media player. The problem is that I have some DolbyVision content elsewhere on the network, accessible through Windows folder sharing (SMB), which, in turn, is not supported by the built-in media player (it only supports DLNA). So is there a way for me to play those DolbyVision files correctly on my TV over network via VLC or any other app that supports SMB? I dont want to transfer the content to USB drive and stick it in the back of my TV to open it in the built-in app everytime I want to open DolbyVision content. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks. Posted: 01 Aug 2020 10:39 PM PDT I need help! I recently updated my Firefox app to version 78 and I lost much of the navigation functionality I had in the previous version. I no longer have the back button and the tabs are hidden in a menu, I much prefer the previous interface! How can I go back to the previous version of Firefox which was pretty much perfect for me? I'm guessing it would have been version 76 or 77. [link] [comments]

Does anyone know if any of the below Xbox controller will work natively with Android TV? Posted: 01 Aug 2020 07:28 PM PDT I have a Hisense Q8G TV running Android TV and was thinking of Nvidia GeForce Now gaming. I was wondering if any of the below controllers are plug-and-play with Android TV (no button remapping required):
They all seem to be legit Xbox accessories so was wondering if they'd be equally plug-and-play as the real ones. [link] [comments]
“Sorry i can't play netflix on android tv yet” problem has returned in 2020 Posted: 01 Aug 2020 05:01 PM PDT Hi all, I've had a Sony Android TV for around 9-10 months now, and for some reason I can no long use google assistant on my Nest Mini to play Netflix on my TV. I was always able to since buying the TV, but it has stopped working, I just get the message - sorry i can't play netflix on android tv yet. I know this used to be a problem back in 2018, but was fixed. Any ideas why it has reappeared?? Cheers. [link] [comments]
