Konami is working on a new Castlevania mobile game called Moonlight Rhapsody

    Posted: 29 Jul 2020 10:49 AM PDT

Castlevania games have been in existence since the mid-1980s. While the series started out as a 2D platformer, it eventually evolved into a classic 3D action-adventure over its course. It's time to indulge in some good old nostalgia as the classic monster slayer franchise is making its return again for the mobile platform after the decision of shutting down of their previous project, Castlevania Grimoire of Souls. Now, Konami and Shengqu Games have partnered up for a new Castlevania mobile game called Moonlight Rhapsody.

Prominent video game tweeter Daniel Ahmad, the Senior Analyst at Niko Partners, unveiled the news via his Twitter account. It is mentioned in the tweet that Moonlight Rhapsody, the new Castlevania mobile game, will be a side-scrolling action game. Players can use a variety of weapons and power-ups to take down enemies or evade their attacks.

The game will feature different types of monsters. From regular common species to big and powerful ones, which will result in a boss fight. Similar to the old Castlevania games, Moonlight Rhapsody will be set in a 2D map with plenty of opportunity for platforming. The game's development is handled by the Chinese game development studio, Shengqu Games. You can read more about the news here

The Play Store sucks, need recommendations based on preferences. Help? :(

    Posted: 29 Jul 2020 05:32 AM PDT

Hi, I don't game on my phone much, and when I do I'm typically in bed, just keeping busy before dozing off. I don't like to play action games on my phone because that requires me to stay alert and keeps me from winding down.

With that in mind I've been looking for a game that satisfies the following criteria:

    • RPG
    • Turn-Based
    • Paid (or free without Gacha/MX/Energy/Stamina/Premium Currency...good luck)
    • NOT emulated (I have handhelds for that)

Ideally, I'd also like it to be:

    • Dark in atmosphere, dimly lit, dungeon-themed
    • Low on exposition (sparse dialogue too)

And if possible, but least important:

    • Not Rogue-Like
    • Pixel Art (spares my battery)
    • Portrait Mode (I sleep with my cats and pet them constantly, need a hand free)
    • D-Pad/Joystick (I dislike tapping to move, my screen is big and it's uncomfortable)

I know these are ultra specific, it's a tough request and that's why I'm here. Can't find it on my own.

Pixel Dungeon is very good, although I'd prefer more fleshed out (but still turn based) combat, and possibly something I don't have to restart so often.

The best description for my dream Android game is Diablo 2 except the combat is Pokemon/SMT/FF.

    MANY thanks in advance.

    [REQUEST] Co-op Idle Games?

    Posted: 29 Jul 2020 09:02 AM PDT

I'm looking for a mainly idle (or clicker) game that I can play with my friends. We've been playing Ulala Idle Adventure, and want something really similar (but perhaps a different theme?). Pretty much anything at all that is idle / low maintenance, and has team progress. Not just guilds with guild wars and stuff, but where the game itself is actually coop and you work with your chosen team the entire time

    Guardian Tales [Released]

[REQUEST] A tycoon, simulation or management game, preferably not riddled with IAPs.

    Posted: 29 Jul 2020 10:18 AM PDT

I love these types of games and probably have played a ton of them already available but am keen to see if I have missed any.

I've played most of the Kairosoft games, they get a bit too repetitive after playing a few. Rebuild 3, Restaurant Tycoon, Pocket City, Animal Restaurant, Rollercoaster Tycoon.

Am interested to see if there are any good ones I have missed. I dont mind paid or free as long as the microtransactions arent bad. My dream game would be something like The Sims but Im positive there isnt any games like that on the play store. The Sims Mobile is trash, way too riddled with microtransactions.

Payday: Crime War Maybe Re-released this year.

    Posted: 29 Jul 2020 12:37 PM PDT

Payday: Crime War Maybe Re-released this year.

Payday: Crime War was released in August 2019 in the US as a limited beta version (Also expanded to 10 other countries around that time) but soon it was pulled back, and the servers of the game went offline on 16 Dec 2019 due to issues between developers and publisher.

However, there is still hope for Payday fans. The game can still be launched if they find a publisher as soon as possible. Various sources have already said that developers have already struck deal with new publishers and are currently working on the game. Some sources are in the notion that the game might release by December 2020. Hope the wait pays off. [Source]

    About The Game:

Payday: Crime War is similar to the popular PC game version of the same name. It is an online PvP game, where you can choose a team/be part of a team and act accordingly. You can either represent the gang of bank robbers or gang of the police officials. It is a first-person shooter game where there are four members per team waiting to complete their respective tasks.

Phone clip that holds the phone closer to my eyes

    Posted: 29 Jul 2020 07:40 AM PDT

I have low vision and have to hold my phone relatively close to my face to see. I've been playing some games with a PlayStation controller but have yet to find a comfortable position to play with my phone that doesn't require laying down, even that is hard because my arms go to sleep after a while.

Does anyone know of some kind of phone clip that holds it up closer to my eyes instead of on the controller?

Looking for a game, please help

    Posted: 29 Jul 2020 06:46 AM PDT

Hi all, I'm just gonna get straight to the point. I've had this old game stuck in my head for weeks now, nagging at me. I'm just trying to find it but unfortunately can't remember. I can vividly remember the gameplay though. Basically it was a tower defence zombie game. You'd get different people (towers) with different abilities and place them in one of the many spots on the map the game gave you. There was also another way to play the game: as the zombies. You could send in hordes of zombies with specialist zombies to help back them up to try and defeat towers the Devs had setup. I believe it had a multiplayer aspect but I can't remember anything about that outside seeing a few people talk in global chat. If anyone has any information, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Note: it also had a 3d cartoony style and the first tower of the humans was an axe wielding fire fighter

[Request] Is there a site that lets me check android games that were removed on the play store?

    Posted: 29 Jul 2020 06:20 AM PDT

I'm looking for a top down zombie shooter that lets you control a squad of soldiers and it has a mode where you can switch from controlling your soldiers to becoming a gunship and providing air support, it had low downloads and was(?) removed from the playstore for reasons I don't know.

If someone knows this game, or if you know a site where I could search for removed playstore games, please tell me.

Something like Heroes of the Storm?

    Posted: 28 Jul 2020 10:48 PM PDT

As in title, I was looking for some game similar to HotS, without luck. I know there are a lot of MOBAs around but I really hate: 1. Char Levelup system 2. Rune or similar system 3. Shop on matches to buy equipment 4. Lack of Teamwork 5. Summoner Rift

While on HotS 1. Team levels up from 1 to 20 in every match you play, instead of leveling up permanently and individually, avoiding just one Hero to be extremely powerful and gamebreaking killing everyone in the universe by itself 2. You just pick your Hero and start playing 3. Instead of shop to buy equipment, as your team reaches certain levels you choose one from 3/4 talents to build your Hero depending on the enemy comp 4. Every map has promotes teamworking with map objectives and keeping all the team balanced with the team level up system 5. Playing always on the same map is just boring. And with the only objective of farming a lot, then go destroy enemy core, but HotS has ~10 maps with unique mechanics, keeping you in action the entire match

So, I would love Blizzard to port it officially to Android, but I know that won't happen (at least for now) so, is there anything similar?

    Thanks!

    Looking for older Android aarpg

    Posted: 28 Jul 2020 02:33 PM PDT

Can't remember the game name. It was online action rpg similar to diablo style. There was 3 classes. Fighter, mage, archer. They had autorun. Which brought you through the dungeon run and killed the enemies but didn't pick up loot . There was a mmo town where you could see other players. Had a shared stash box . Join groups ,do dailies, boss runs. Its older like maybe 6 yrs ago . Don't remember exactly.

    Edit: Kingsroad. It is. Thanks
