Good business management games that actually come with risk?

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 09:46 AM PST

Most games just stretch into infinity past a certain point. Incremental games get boring too. I want to manage a business and actually weigh the risks and potentially fail.

I would also like to actually be involved in or SEE the process, not just clicking "upgrade machines" and seeing a number tick up.

Why are there barely any actually challenging games?

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 07:15 AM PST

Im really sick of downloading a game that looks great, with great reviews and even being recommended here, only for me to spend 2 hours+ literally holding down the attack button while all the billions of enemies die... Do you guys actually find that fun?

And my favorite is when a game has a "hard mode" where the enemies simply have more health and you have to hold or spam the attack button longer, those are just great..

I know it's basically too much to ask for console quality gameplay, but these are just really really fucking bad.. i dont see why mobile gaming has to be so shit? New phones are capable of great graphics, and touch screen controls are more than good enough to have deep gameplay.

Currently im playing anima which was heavily praised here, but so far its doing exactly the thing i mentioned, i'll give it a few more hours of gameplay just to make sure im not just in a really really long tutorial

Best side scrolling / line rider / motorcycle game?

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 08:00 AM PST

There seems to be a bunch of trials clones and side scroller cycle games, all very similar.

Any input on the best one?

I don't mind buying it, I just don't want to go through hundreds.

    [Request] Small multiplayer FPS game

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 11:48 AM PST

Being small is the only request I have, I'm running low on internal memory, and games nowadays won't let you move the assets to SD.

If it is populated, and use a small amount of data it would be better.

[Game name suggestions] We are independent game dev and made a game of three kingdoms.. Pls help us

My friend and I made a game about three kingdoms, hoping that more people can enjoy the stuff about that period.

But we've met some trouble naming our game. Could anybody help us? Tell us which name is better and why. We will so much appreciate it if you guys can help.

We want to attract some Southeast Asian people to play the game. So our target market is SEA.

    Which name is better?

    1.Dynasty Conqueror

    2.Legend of SamKok

    3.General invincible

    4.Legend Warriors

    5.Mobile Dynasty

    6.Dynasty Generals

    Some info about the game:

This is an RPG Card game. In the game, the player will be a general and meet his/her partners (Players collect up to 6 officers from Wei, Shu, Wu or that period and cultivate them to pass the story chapters). And the officers have different skills and some pairs will have bonds so it involves a lot of strategies of setting up a good formation to vs against the enemies. And there are some features like guild, arena, etc.

[DEV] Released my first mobile game - 'Grape Escape - Fruit Dodging Fun' - Ask me anything!

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 05:49 AM PST

After 6 months, my first mobile game is finally live on the play store:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nelson.games.Grape_Escape

I learned a ton in the process and would love to answer any questions.

    A few details:

    • The game is about grapes who have to escape each level without getting hit by any other types of fruit. It's kind of a reflex/strategy game.
    • It was created with Corona SDK
    • All of the art was created with Inkscape
    • I used Tiled to make all the levels
    • Spent about $30 on sound effects from Audio Jungle

If anyone else is contemplating making a game from scratch, would love to answer any questions.

Is there any kind of windows emulator for older games.

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 03:15 AM PST

I've got a few mouse only games that I want to play. The system requirements are rather low, but they all seem to minimally run on XP. I'm wondering if I can play them, or just hope for a port

I know they are very different games, but I enjoy both styles of games. I know both are very good and heavily praised.

Which one do YOU recommend and why?
