This is my list. I tried to link to the play store when I could, but some apps aren't available on the play store.

Does anyone have any other source ports or ways to put computer games on android? I think it would be fun to expand my list.

    Controller advice?

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 10:59 AM PDT

Can anyone tell me which design type seems to be more comfortable and easier to use over all? Or what the pros and cons are of each style?

    Phone in middle

    Phone on top

Also if anyone has recommendations on what controller to buy I would also appreciate that.

Words with Friends 2 is absolute trash. Ad infected.

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 10:15 AM PDT

After every play you get an ad.

There is a daily word challenge where you need to get X amount of points, and after each play its an Words with Friends ad that you have to wait 5 seconds to close and resume playing.

My family wanted to play it because of quarantine, but holy moly I make a play, ad pops up, make another play with a different family member, ad pops up, etc.

It's faster to close and reload the app to play more than once. It's at the point where it's malicious.

This isn't including the fact that opposing players can pay to win with power-ups/paid cheats.

Removing ads for 30 days cost $9.99 (power ups are included).

This shit needs to be illegal.

JRPGs / Strategy RPGs (Not Remakes)

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 07:48 AM PDT

    Hello all,

I haven't been following Android gaming pretty much at all. I just had a random thought that maybe there were some good games that I never heard about. Are there any turn based RPGs or Strategy RPGs that rival console/PC gameplay that are Android exclusive?

All I ask is that the game doesn't have these features...

    • Dailies - Worst idea ever and has leaked into lots of PC games.
    • Gacha system - I want progression to be entirely gameplay based.
    • Energy System - Probably tied for worst idea at least this really just happens in mobile games...
    • Remakes - Please don't list any remakes since I can play all those on other systems.

Here are some features I look for in games

    • Playable in Landscape mode - I will be playing on an emulator so landscape works a lot better. I am guessing most games have this option since most games look better in landscape.
    • Interesting class/skill system or just a lot of unique characters - Some of my favorite class systems are Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy 5.
    • Gameplay that lasts 20+ hours
    • Combat with 4+ characters preferred, if the game is amazing but has less characters in combat I would still play it.

    Thanks for any replies.

    Money game recommendations?

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 07:28 AM PDT

Hey guys, I've played a few of these games where "it's free but you can make money from this!" I've found like 2-3 where I've actually been able to reach the baseline deposit amount. Have you guys played any of these games where you've ACTUALLY gotten the money from it?

[REQUEST] Looking for a game where I can invest in, grow, and customize my character

    Posted: 13 Apr 2020 05:43 PM PDT

    Can be online or offline

    Must have appealing graphics

I really liked Knighthood and Mighty Quest for Epic Loot for gameplay and graphics, but I don't want something so reliant on IAPs and ads. Paid is fine.

I just want something where I can slowly cultivate my unique character, level up, grow in power, and make them look nice.

Also! Something I can play for a long time, too. Where there's always something more to be done, you're never 100% finished.

    Thanks!

    Hitman Sniper 2 question

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 02:09 AM PDT

A few days ago I was browsing the Play Store, and Hitman Sniper 2 showed up in my recommendations. My phone is too old and couldn't run it so I didn't pay much mind to it. However I thought of installing it in Bluestacks last night just to try it out but I couldn't find it anywhere and the only link I found is dead.

Anyone knows if it was actually released or a valid Store link?

Does Terraria Mobile supports High refresh rate?

    Posted: 13 Apr 2020 10:26 PM PDT

Many games like Critical Ops, Minecraft and Vainglory support high FPS like 90Hz or 120Hz. So now that soon Terraria will get its final update, I'm curious if it supports maybe 90Hz so I would upgrade my phone accordingly.

Best put down pick up games for android?

    Posted: 13 Apr 2020 01:37 PM PDT

For lack of a better phrase, what are the best games on android that you can put down and pick up. For example, games like civ or football manager where you input stuff and watch the results afterwards. The chaos of adult life means I really don't get alot of time to sit and play a game that needs live input but have alot of time to pick up a game, watch it for a minute or two then put it back down. Any games like this? Hopefully something with progression? Can be free or paid but preferably offline

I have found the search in the play store seems to be very hit an miss when looking for good games...

I know searching here has been a lot more reliable.

I also have found some good ones from recommendations from real life friends/youtubers/streamers...

I'm running pixel experience based on android 10 and my dualshock 3/4 and Xbox 360 controllers with wireless adapter don't seem to work. They connect but don't send any input at all. My switch pro controllers work over otg though.

Why don't more android phones use air triggers?

    Posted: 14 Apr 2020 01:18 AM PDT

The asus gaming phone has them. If more android phones were to do this they could show that mobile gaming isn't awkward and hard to control, but sleek and frictionless. They could bring a real, big incentive to mobile gaming.
