OnePlus5T ALL Photos GONE – any possibility of recovery? Posted: 17 Dec 2020 08:18 AM PST So today my OnePlus5T (android version 10, OxygenOS 10.0.1) showed me a notification "running out of space". I clicked on the notification. Then I got the options to "free up space" between 8GB or 10GB. Another option was "check archives". I checked the archives and saw photos/files that I did not even remember existing from AGEEES ago. I, unbeknownst to me, thought that perhaps if I clicked on "free space" that would explain what exactly it would clear. Well, I clicked "free space" and then all my photos got deleted. All 3000+ of them. They're not in any recently deleted file or anything. I can't find that archive folder anymore (what even was it???). I tried recovery mobile apps like DiskDigger and PC program AndroidRecovery also obviously restarting the phone, but nothing helped (they did not find any of the deleted pics when I searched with those programs). The photos that got deleted weren't backed up in google drive either. Is there any possibility to recover any of my photos? I just can't believe the phone didn't warn me with something like "this cannot be reversed" "your files won't be in recently deleted". It just destroyed all of my important photos, precious memories… IT didn't even warn me that what will be deleted will specifically be my PHOTOS. TLDR; Phone, without specifying what it is going to "FREE", deleted all my photos. Any possibility of recovery? [link] [comments] |
Looking for help Diagnosing Lag Posted: 17 Dec 2020 02:28 AM PST Lately, my phone (Moto G Power) has been slow to respond. The keyboard takes a few solid seconds to come up, and switching apps takes a long time. Does anyone have suggestions for a way to figure out what is causing the slowdown? It is rooted, so any diagnostics that require root access are also welcome. [link] [comments] |
Softbricked phone need help can't find image recovery anywhere! Posted: 16 Dec 2020 11:00 PM PST Hi community, I have an old android Samsung stratosphere ii qwerty. It got soft bricked and so I'm attempting to fix it after many months. Before it got soft bricked it was rooted so USB debugging is enabled by the way. I successfully was able to install secure a ADB connection from my phone to the pc. But I just can't find the recovery image for my phone! And neither can I find a CWM recovery .img file from online! Any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong? What type of file do I need to boot in order to recover my phone? Can I use a CWM recovery image and if so which one? Thanks guys. [link] [comments] |

Is every app affected by the new SafetyNet update? Posted: 17 Dec 2020 11:27 AM PST With the next SafetyNet update that will make users of devices with unlocked bootloader or rooted daily life more difficult. Should I be worried if I don't use apps which rely on SafetyNet such as banking apps. I only use productive apps for podcasts, notes, office, etc & WhatsApp. Will these apps follow as well? "Emoji search not available" on Gboard, click it again and look at that! It's available. Posted: 17 Dec 2020 11:22 AM PST Why does my gboard tell me "Emoji search not available" whenever I try to search for emojis on gboard? This doesn't happen on some apps, but it happens on a lot of non-Google apps. I click on the search bar once, and it gives me the above notice, I click again and I can search no problem! Drives me nuts. This has happened to me on two different phones for at least six months. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Dec 2020 08:46 AM PST That is how it looks on my new phone. But it used to be Arrow, circle, square on my old phone. How can i switch the square with the arrow? BTW this is on a redmi phone with the awful MI UI. [link] [comments] |
Gap under keyboard so annoying? Posted: 17 Dec 2020 08:36 AM PST Hi guys. I have a oneplus 6 and for ages there has been a gap under the keyboard that closes it. It's such a huge PITA and there is no way to get rid of it. Does anyone know what I can do about this? It's the worst thing. Does anyone else experience this? [link] [comments] |

Change Audio output settings S9+ Posted: 17 Dec 2020 07:51 AM PST Long story short, I broke my headphone jack in my S9+ aux socket. I now can't get any sound as it's routing through the broken headphones. Is there a way to turn headphones off/change Audio output? [link] [comments] |
Will the s20 become even cheaper than 570 euros? Posted: 17 Dec 2020 07:18 AM PST The s20 is now in sale in The Netherlands for 570 euros, is it expected that the s20 will drop in price even more to become even cheaper that 570 euros? And so yes, when? [link] [comments] |
How can i format an SD card as 'real' storage space on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A? Posted: 17 Dec 2020 07:09 AM PST The tablet (an SM-T510) only has 32 gb of storage, so I got an SD card. I put it in, and it was registered by the device as an SD card immediately. It didn't ask for any settings or to format it or anything. I can't actually install anything to it though, only move random files there. Guides online tell me to go to "Storage settings" or "USB and Storage" to format the SD card as internal storage in order to fix this problem, but these settings don't seem to actually exist on this device. I can only go to 'Storage' via Device Care, and there's no option there for me to format it as internal storage. I can 'format' it, but it'll just reformat it as an SD card again without offering alternatives. Is it impossible to expand the internal storage of this device or am I missing something? Q: How can Android app use external Bluetooth speaker's microphones? Posted: 17 Dec 2020 06:26 AM PST Onboard phone microphones are not as good as external Bluetooth smart speakers that have multiple far-field microphones with real-time noise reduction. What Bluetooth profile would be needed? How I get my Android app to use an external Bluetooth microphone? Which speakers or speakerphones would support this? I found a similar question from 2017 on Stack Exchange saying that Amazon Alexa speakers don't support this. Curious if it's possible nowadays. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 16 Dec 2020 10:53 PM PST I'm trying to help a friend out. The phone is an OppoA37f, and the Colors OS is updated to it's latest version, but the android OS version as seen from settings is still version 5.1.1. My friend requires at least Android version 6. Even in the settings, there is no option to update the Android OS. I'm personally an IOS user, but i've been scouring the internet for guides and videos. However, none has been working. This is really important for my friend because the phone is currently not compatible for some apps that she require, and these apps cannot be used until the android is updated. [link] [comments] |
The two Touchscreen buttons (Back and opened apps) are not working on my samsung phone Posted: 17 Dec 2020 04:46 AM PST I do not have a phone case on, I have tried restarting the device to no avail. [link] [comments] |
Using physical bluetooth keyboard Posted: 17 Dec 2020 12:59 AM PST Android Device: POCO X2 Keyboard: Logitech K480 I am trying to use this keyboard for typing on android, but it doesn't seem to accept a tab key. Pressing the tab key while typing sends it to the next filed on the app. (Like new page or any other button that might be below the writing field.) How can fix this issue? I have tried with multiple note taking apps, and everywhere the persists. I used the same keyboard on my iPad and there it worked flawlessly. I generally use Markdown and without a tab key, its difficult to type!! EDIT: It works well with Google Keep. Doesn't work with Markor, Epsilon (markdown editors) So it might be an app centric issue? Posted: 17 Dec 2020 12:22 AM PST Hello! I recently bought a tiny portable projector (An Aaxa P2A)! It runs android Nougat 7.1.2 like an android TV and comes with a pre-installed app that views whatever it is you plug to the mini-hdmi port on the back of the projector. HOWEVER, the app is creating input lag when playing games that I couldn't fix with display settings and new cables. So, are there any apps out there that VIEW hdmi input instead of sending it?? Thanks from ahead! [link] [comments] |
