OXCE(Open Xcom) and its mods are actually one of the best games for Android availible. Posted: 23 Dec 2019 10:36 AM PST Its somewhat a repost of myself(from the other sub), but I do want more people to know about the thing. The game is a single-player ancient strategy, but its surprisingly has some great gameplay value and robust interface. I just want more people to know about it. I stumbled upon Open-Xcom quite a long time ago, but only now I have decided to try one of its versions for my phone. Xcom itself is a first game in a well-known strategical-tactical franchise. It was made somewhere around 1993-1994 (my version says its 1993, but wiki says its 1994, idk.). And Open-Xcom is a wrapper to run it on every "big" platform and OXCE runs on an Android too. So, the old Xcom game interface perfectly fits even for an average mobile screen - buttons are big enough, soldiers are easy to pick, fonts are perfectly readable and the game is turn-based 15 minutes sessions with save-loads and strategic view. They say facing commands are bad, but "swipe-only" mode works perfectly for me. I played some old games on a phone, but they are better fit for a bigger screen. This one actually feels made for a phone. Alongside with the old game you get the ability to install mods for it. Fans already made bunch of campaigns in various settings. At the moment I play this little thing called "Xcom files" mod, which has global conspiracy vibe and real world weapons. So, TLDR: Open Xcom is a great option for an Android gamer. Linear: A Minimalist Arcade Game [FEEDBACK REQUEST] Posted: 23 Dec 2019 10:18 AM PST Hey everyone! I've just published my first ever mobile game, Linear. Right now it's only for android (can't spend $100 right now lol) and available in the US, so I would absolutely love it if you could try it out for a bit and give some of that juicy, juicy feedback!! :D Maybe drop a review as well... Battle of the Pucks: looking for advice on promoting a free-to-play Android game Posted: 23 Dec 2019 08:24 AM PST I'm looking for advice from fellow developers: what works for you guys best to promote a free-to-play, ad-supported Android game which people seem to enjoy but it's not heavily advertised (due to no budget for this)? Our total install/retain numbers are climbing up steadily but slowly, and we do not pay for any advertisement. Right now, 100% of new installs come from organic Play Store search. We had an impressive retain rate of 27% in the past month so the people who manage to find our game really choose to keep (and hopefully play) it. But what can we do to get a better exposure? Here is the game in question: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lifemakers.battle_of_the_pucks [link] [comments]

Looking for Exploration game title Posted: 22 Dec 2019 08:03 PM PST I am trying to find a game I played a couple of years ago. It was a top down planet exploration/strategy game. Each planet you colonized slowly generated more units (visualized as a slowly increasing number). If you tapped the planet and then another planet, half the units would take off and move to the target planet. Neutral planets would have a number on them. To take the planet you had to send at least that number of units to that planet. Eventually the you could plant a 'seed' in the planet which would grow special units (fast, tough, strong, etc). Does this ring a bell to anyone? I already searched my app history and Google, but no luck. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]

[REQUEST] Multiplayer Android NOITA Posted: 23 Dec 2019 03:38 AM PST I'm looking for a multiplayer game with weapons that function similar to noita in that there is a lot of rng involved and weapon effects can vary drastically depending on how they are rolled. Something with plenty of customization for how your "class" or character plays would be a bonus. The rest doesn't really matter but I would prefer it to not be a roguelike. [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Dec 2019 11:55 PM PST So there was this (g)old game with a counter part as well. It was something like monster legends or something and the counterpart was hero legends or someshit like that. Both parts had a very similar story but with different characters. It was kinds like a castle defend, random minigame filled, strategy game. The main person was a knight in the hero version and an undead knight on the monster version. I remember there being a unicorn on the monster side and a werewolf on the monster side. It was a very old game and i played it when i was like 10 but it was really fun and now i domt remember anything about it other than it was very fun and the stuff i mentioned. If someone could tell me its name i would be very grateful. [link] [comments] |
