Why are apps not made inclusive for the visually impaired?

    Posted: 26 Oct 2021 01:42 AM PDT

I am registered visually impaired (blind but with some usable sight) and I struggle with the constant ads in some apps. The developers use tiny X's that are hard to see and require pinpoint accuracy to close the ad. I understand that they need to use ads to generate the cash to pay for the app but I guess this generates more cash than a one off purchase of the app. I hate that many apps have taken up the subscription route to milk users for more cash. Very few developers create content with accessibility for people with visual impairments, we are ignored because it's seen that we don't generate enough cash for these guys. I have petitioned Google but as you can imagine, there's been no response and likely never will be as long as they're making money too.

What's the best game recorder in the Playstore? I've found a good one but unfortunately it didn't record my voice, only the game's audio.

    Games like Mob Wars?

    Posted: 26 Oct 2021 01:20 PM PDT

I current play Mob Wars LCN. I tried Downtown Mafia but I can't see to do well at it. Are there any other games I should know about with this style?

Games similar to magic the gathering: puzzle quest?

    Posted: 25 Oct 2021 02:06 PM PDT

TLDR; any mobile games focused on card or creature collecting that are not pay to win (happy to pay upfront cost to buy the game!) And easy to start?

I've been playing a fair bit of mtg:pq lately. Its been been very fun game, that seems to be quite easy to grt into and beginner friendly. I really enjoy the ad-free experience, as well as what seems to be a true FTP experience, as long as you put enough time into it. My main issue is with their tier system, which makes it very restricting to play around with decks. I'm looking for some similar games: focused on collecting cards, or creatures. I've tried hearthstone years ago, but it seemed to take quite a bit longer to get to any decent playing level, and I never really got into it...

Is it possible to download auto clicker similar to "Game Genie" (from ASUS phones) that you can run and then lock the screen so that you can put your phone in the pocket while it is running?

Doom Depths - Roguelike - In beta

    Posted: 26 Oct 2021 08:25 AM PDT

    Hey Gang,

I've been playing (and shilling:P) A lot for Doom depths, And up and coming Roguelike - Saves are now active for it - On manual only (Good thing, Because some complete runs can take 5 hours)

There are 5 weapon types to play with No defined classes, however. The weapon defines your skill choices. You can mix and match or try and stay pure. Daggers are fast and nasty and can possibly poison while halberds can hit everything.

You can enchant your weapons, Receive blessings and curses. Buy crap in the dungeon, Sell crap in the dungeon,

Create scrolls and potions, Mix and match skills, There are 40 to 50 skills right now There are secrets to be found. Please note this is not an action Rpg/Rogue, It's more of a click, Decide where to go next, Click. Combat, Etc.

Please see r/DoomDepths for patch notes, I'm trying to get some Q&A working as well, Or join the discord from the app.

[REQUEST] Looking for a PAID anime waifu collector

    Posted: 26 Oct 2021 06:44 AM PDT

Hi everyone I'm looking for a chill game, possibly paid, with lots of waifu to collect. I've tried Azur Lane but i didn't like it cause the girls were too chibi for me when in battle. Also as i said i'd like something more chill (maybe a card game). It's important for me that if it isn't paid it's at least not pay2win. Anyways I'll appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

    long lost isometric android game?

    Posted: 26 Oct 2021 05:03 AM PDT

Hi, I'm searching for a singleplayer game I played anno in 2015 autumn. I reckon it's not available anymore on google play. It's an isometric pixel-like roguelike game. It has similar graphics and movement to Mountain Goat (a game not available anymore either). I remember it had different kinds of maps, there were chests and every map had a special chest at the end. There were weapons, armors etc. You had to get through many traps too. Does anyone have a clue what this game's title was? Thanks in advance.

    game development on google play

    Posted: 26 Oct 2021 04:24 AM PDT

hello there! i have been thinking for a while developing games on android. I'm a student which needs money, is doing theoretical stuff which doesn't pay at all, hates web development and feels its crowded. I made small stuff on Unity and Godot, played around with unreal engine and overally i think i have better understanding in games than software development (I've been thinking about making stuff on mac Appstore too in productivity apps but 1. its also saturated, 2. people tend to be picky with their "productive" apps 3. its not addictive 4. its hard to come up with a sell-able idea) but games seem a good fit.

i like to experiment and develop games on my free time (up to 26 hours), play with the gameplay loops and design of the game and find the sweet spot of being addictive, fun and good on content (addictive isn't really bad to be honest, for example Zelda and Genshin impact have a subtle exploration loop which is pretty good) i seen games on android that are pure addiction and mislead marketing and grind that are skinned as a game, defiantly want to make game and not those apps but will try my best to find the good spot.

    A. how does the exposure and advertising work?

on Youtube or Twitter, if you post something that gets attention at the time, it will start showing it to more people and gets exposure naturally. are ads the essential part for releasing Apps on google play and they kinda make some money from payment of marketing or can it naturally come up to? if not, are there non payment ways for it? for example testing exposure for free and if it worked then it shows the game on store but takes more percentage of the profit (aka would advertise it for yourself, like Youtube or tweets on Twitter). does app store give analytics too?

about making money from developers, Roblox platform makes money the same way too. they take money from devs to promote the game while constantly showing games on trending which made lotta profit (for giving fake feeling that "your game can go up there!") and advertises learning and free teaching of tools for people to make content, and then pay for the advertisement. i don't expect my games blow up on App store in a day but i want to know, do i get the chance and will google play fare and analyze the exposure or no?

i don't think i would advertise it on other platforms (its not an awaiting AAA game on main devices after all. such games are less than an indie 2d game on steam. definitely you could make a steam quality game and publish on google play but on general people won't pay much attention and await for it, and attention happens inside the platform.

    B. percentage cuts

how much will google take on micro-transactions? i hate micro-transactions but seems like ads don't pay much. i should look for other methods. since Godot is free perhaps i go by that (unity ads don't worth more than google?). again can google do free advertisement and take something later on? is it done fairly or will rip you up?

so when you play 20$ that's it? they surly want to take a lot from advertisement pay right? can't we just get money from users and not the devs like some decent human beings? :))

    c. do everyone play short simple games or can i make games that need more focus and dopamine rush gets delayed and has a longer gameplay loop?

some make small games with simple loops that people play on bus, on uber or when they are going around (not much on pandemic huh?) but some make kinda longer sometimes story driven 2d games. how is that market doing?

usually competitive games do better on this regard and player maintains their attention but i will be making single player games. puzzle games seem a more cleaner thing to do too

Stuck on Horror at Innsport by Karmic Shift Studios

    Posted: 25 Oct 2021 03:21 PM PDT

So I'm playing Horror at Innsport and I'm stuck. I need to find a fuse for the fuse box so I can get into the mine, but I can't find it ANYWHERE. Does anyone know where/how to get it?

EDIT: I found it. If anyone needs it in the future, you have to go to the Abandoned House, use the chisel to open the loose board, and you'll find a key. Then go to the Pump Room location in the water treatment play and use the key to open the closet, where the fuse will be.
