    Some questions on Jetpack Compose & emulator

    I have two different questions. The first is: is it worth to learn Jetpack Compose as a beginner? (Started Android development about 9 month ago, have just one significant project, never worked as an Android dev, planning to apply for jobs in weeks.)

    The other one: I have gpu driver issues with the Android Studio emulators. Do I need to use emulators in a real project?

    comparison of interstitial skippable video ads with rewarded non skippable interstitial video ads

    app development noob here. i want to show interstitial video ads (5 seconds skippable ) and rewarded interstitial ads (30 seconds non skippable) in my mobile game application. how much of a difference is there between them in CPM terms in developed markets like USA & Canada. is there any additional revenue that can be generated when if an users click on the ads perform some actions like download the application. thank you

    Android Jetpack

    I passed 1 month learning Android Jetpack, and to be honest, it's awesome and it makes android app development a lot easier and smooth, even if it lacks some feature, but I think that it will be the main library to develop natives android app in the future.

    Looking for AdMob alternatives

    I have published an app at the end of the last month. The app lets its users play simple games and earn points. These points later can be traded for crypto coins. The way I earn cash to pay my users, is by showing an interstitial ad to the users - one ad before playing and one ad after playing. If the user hits the "replay" button after the game has ended, the process repeats.

    The month has passed and I was paying close attention to see how this goes. Until now, I had made like 20% more of what I have paid to my users. To be transparent with you, I have paid around 40€ and have received around 50€. I was pretty happy with this but...

    This past day, my eCPM dropped to 0.11€ which is way lower than it is used to be. I thought that it was simply a bad day for ads and ignored it. It was to my surprise that a hour ago, I was to check my earnings, and they dropped from 50€ to around 20€. After some more browser refreshes and it keeps coming down. For the last 5 minutes, it stopped at 18€ and I hope it doesn't go lower. So, now I am at a loss and don't know why this happened. My best bet is that I was flagged by invalid traffic and they removed this invalid traffic. Maybe is the end game ad and fast "replay" game that plays another ad that provoked this.

    Anyway, after this story, I am evaluating an AdMob alternative. What is the best, ad network that doesn't have these policies? I have put so much work and love into this app that I refuse to give up now.

    TL;DR: I suspect invalid traffic on my app. What alternatives I have to AdMob?

    Has anyone had any experience going through the Android Basics in Kotlin courses from the Android Developers website? I'm curious how good/useful these courses are. The Course Units are still being released so it seems pretty up to date/relevant for now. They seem to be less video based and more reading which is fine so far. But I'm interested to see if anyone found these courses useful for them or more helpful when it comes to learning Android Dev from the start.

    I've build an app in Java and I need an IOs version of this, do I need to write it all over again?

    It's a simple app that doesn't require much resources to work. I was wondering if there would be a way to convert my Android app to IOs. Considering the not so happy idea of having to write it all over again, would it be better if I learned Flutter, Swift or Kotlin?

    Should I disable ads for users that live with me?

    I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask this but this community has been relatively helpful in the past so I figured I would give it a shot.

    If a few family members that I live with use my app occasionally, should I disable ads for them altogether? That is currently what I'm doing because I know you are not supposed to ask others to click on your ads, and I see posts all the time about ad accounts being banned for this or for "no reason" so this is something I'm very paranoid about. But I also know that you can make a small amount of revenue just from users seeing ads.

    So should I continue doing what I'm doing and not risk my ad account? My family members are aware of my fear of my account being banned so they wouldn't click the ads, but I'm worried that it could still cause issues just because I'm positive that with all of Googles tracking, they can probably tell that we live together, which might make it look like I, or a family member, are looking at ads just to increase revenue.

    Am I being overly paranoid or is my thinking correct and I should continue to disable ads for people that live with me?
