- Sunday Rant/Rage (Aug 08 2021) - Your weekly complaint thread!
- Did we reach the "final" phone shape design?
- Samsung Malaysia accidentally published Galaxy Z Fold3 Ads before immediately taking them down.
- MelonDs Android Edition it has been officially released on the Google Play store, give the developer some support and feedback.
- Samsung Galaxy camera met variabele Field of View (FoV)
- Android Audiophile Bliss (portable DAC) as per Juan Bagnell's recommendation. THX Onyx powers my K3003i earbuds and brings them to life much more than a standard 3.5mm jack. A great solution that's basically a small extention to your current headphone cable :)
Sunday Rant/Rage (Aug 08 2021) - Your weekly complaint thread! Posted: 08 Aug 2021 05:00 AM PDT Note 1. Join our IRC and Telegram chat-rooms![Please see our wiki for instructions.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/wiki/index#wiki_.2Fr.2Fandroid_chat_rooms) This weekly Sunday thread is for you to let off some steam and speak out about whatever complaint you might have about:
Rules 1) Please do not target any individuals or try to name/shame any individual. If you hate Google/Samsung/HTC etc. for one thing that is fine, but do not be rude to an individual app developer. 2) If you have a suggestion to solve another user's issue, please leave a comment but be sure it's constructive! We do not want any flame-wars. 3) Be respectful of other's opinions. Even if you feel that somebody is "wrong" you don't have to go out of your way to prove them wrong. Disagree politely, and move on. [link] [comments]
Did we reach the "final" phone shape design? Posted: 08 Aug 2021 07:54 PM PDT If you are born in the 90s or earlier, you definitely remember the rich variety of phone designs before Android and iPhone. Nokia, Motorola, Sony-Ericson, Samsung, Siemens etc etc, which phone model in the mid 2000s even within the same brand was pretty much unique - standard phone, flip phone, slide phone, ovulation phone (not even kidding), you name it. But since the rise of the modern Smartphones in the past 10+ years, the shape hasn't really changed. They've became longer, wider, thinner, but in the end it's one big rectangle with a big touch screen no matter which brand you prefer and even if you compare a 2012 phone with the current ones you can't really say they are really that different. Did we reach the final or "ultimate" phone shape design and that will be the only shape we'll ever have with only upgraded hardware? I know it's because it's the most effective shape but do you think at some point, companies will decide to break the cycle even if it'll sacrifice some of the screen size and but to bring something different to the table. I know the future can't be predicted, but I'm really curious what people think about that and will you be open to see something that is not just a standard rectangle screen? [link] [comments]
Samsung Malaysia accidentally published Galaxy Z Fold3 Ads before immediately taking them down. Posted: 09 Aug 2021 12:17 AM PDT There's a YouTube link where someone re-uploaded it. I also uploaded a copy in /r/GalaxyFold if this gets taken down. Note the fine print in the shot with the pen. It says:
The fact that it has two options, S Pen Pro and S Pen Fold Edition, makes me think the Pro will be a premium option maybe. [link] [comments]

Posted: 07 Aug 2021 09:29 PM PDT I've been using the headphone jack on the Xperia 1 iii since I got it. Coming from an LG V50, I realized that the internal DAC in my new phone wasn't nearly as good as the one in my old phone. The portable DAC and amplifier in this thing is beyond amazing. If you're trying to drive decent wired earphones or headphones, give it a look. Here's Juan's original review... https://youtu.be/4GB4p067HAE [link] [comments] |
