How do you get ADB connected to samsung phones? Posted: 02 Aug 2021 03:14 AM PDT In tasker I'm trying to enable a setting , which requires you to use adb on windows https://tasker.joaoapps.com/userguide/en/help/ah_volume_long_press_grant.html but when I try to run it it says "no devices/emulators found" I've installed the latest drivers from here https://developer.samsung.com/mobile/android-usb-driver.html I've also turned off & on USB debugging I've tried a few different USB connection mode in the phone but none of them fix it [link] [comments]
Screen timeout automatically got changed to 1 second Posted: 02 Aug 2021 09:07 AM PDT I'm using the samsung f62. Today while I was using my phone, the screen timeout got automatically changed to 1 second. I was just customizing my CPL launcher and it got changed. This has never happend before. The weird thing is that it got changed to 1 second and natively there isn't wven an option for 1 second. Anyways after that I restarted the phone and changed it back to 10 minutes through settings. The weird part is that after changing it back to 10 minutes that option disappeared. Can someone explain me what the hell happened? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Aug 2021 12:01 PM PDT Bought a $60 pair a couple years ago. Never had an issue. I lost one of the earbuds at a park and that model of earbuds are no longer available. I've tried 3 different similarly priced pairs of earbuds and the audio keeps cutting in and out. when I try the solo remaining earbud from my first set, it's still fine. Surely it can't be the earbuds if every pair is having the same issue. I have a Huawei Honor 9. Any ideas? [link] [comments]
| Security: Something on my phone is "phoning home" each time I restart Posted: 02 Aug 2021 11:31 AM PDT I have a Samsung Note 8 (SM-N950U), Android version 9, Kernel version 4.4.153. Verizon. Every time I do a restart on my phone I get a call from a specific phone number. If I answer, it's just dead air and hangs up. I've blocked the number, yet every time I restart I receive a notification the the phone blocked an incoming call from that number. I've used several antivirus tools, no results. No Verizon scan alerts, none from Google either. I don't know if it's from an app reconnecting when I restart, but I receive the call regardless of if I've entered my pin after restart or not. Any ideas? | Is there a phone with multiple physical buttons? Posted: 02 Aug 2021 10:59 AM PDT Most phones have volume +/- and a power button that'll turn on/off screen unless you hold it Is there a phone with more buttons? I would LOVE a phone that had 2+ extra buttons. If I'm listening to a book I'd want a button to go back 5seconds because I either need the speaker to repeat themselves or because there was a bang outside/in the background. Other times I'm listening to music and I want a next/previous. A play/pause is nice too but most importantly I want a back 5second button [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Aug 2021 10:45 AM PDT Long story short: Resurrection remix 7.0.2 (P) allowed me to natively manually edit the navbar layout, and set more than 3 buttons. Now on 8.6.9 it's pretty much "two or three stock buttons all stuck in place, or welcome to gesture HELL". Is there any tweak or app/magisk/edxposed for manually modifying navbar? [link] [comments]
Help! Can't flash the stock rom. Posted: 02 Aug 2021 10:39 AM PDT So I have got an old phone(meizu m2 mini) that is bricked from someone. He has failed to boot it and given up all hope. The phone actually does boot to fastboot and recovery. The problem is every time I flash it with its stock rom it says firmware corrupt after the flashing is done. I am using the rom from the official website still getting this error. I am currently trying to flash it using sp flash tool but still the phone has some built in protection that doesn't allow flashing without an auth file. [link] [comments]
Any way to track data roaming? Posted: 02 Aug 2021 04:25 AM PDT I'm currently on Verizon but considering switching to a MVNO (network that uses Verizon towers, but is cheaper). The only clear downside that concerns me is that it seems MVNOs cannot roam onto other networks if I'm in an area without Verizon towers. Is there any way to track when I've gone on roaming? Trying to see if it's actually something I should be concerned about. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Trying to figure out if my phone is refurbished and my RTN code doesn't work Posted: 02 Aug 2021 10:19 AM PDT So I was told I was getting a new phone from Verizon but I suspect it may be refurbished. In trying to figure out how to tell i saw that you can use ###786## to get the RTN menu up but they didn't work and found that ##786## was what you're supposed to do as an alternative. However, as soon as I type the last asterisk, it just clears out my dialer but nothing happens. I'm using a pixel 3xl. Wondering if there's something I have to do elsewhere to allow these secret menus or perhaps something I'm doing wrong or an alternative method to figure this out? Thanks so much! [link] [comments]
Possible to roll back from andoroid 11 to 10? Posted: 02 Aug 2021 01:23 AM PDT It has been months since the last update for my redmi note 9s that updated the firmware to 11 (global 12.0.2). My main problem is after the update, the internet speed now only shows the internet the phone itself is using, so when i set the phone as hotspot, it will not show the total speed that went tru the phone but just the speed the phone itself is using (eg streaming youtube), this means i cannot see if my network speed is stable or not. Tried installing network speed app same thing so i think they changed it in the root settings. Also after 1 update on 1 of my older phone everytime it connects to the hotspot it will open up some android page which is annoying. I also felt the phone runs hotter after the update. However i do not want to do a factory restore as i will have to reconfigure the phone again, but is it possible jist to rollback the android from 11 to 10 easily? [link] [comments]
I was just curious (Motorola g stylus 5g) Posted: 02 Aug 2021 10:04 AM PDT What battery percentage should I start to plug in. (On a side note and make sense how the phone advises only charging to 80 not charging too 100) [link] [comments]
How to bot VMOS Pro in Recovery Mode Posted: 02 Aug 2021 06:16 AM PDT You guys might know about VMOS Pro. So, I have a pretty straightforward question. I want to install on VMOS Pro. I downloaded the generic ROM as I didn't know the phone model which VMOS emulates. When I try to install the ROM, it fails to open it correctly. So then I downloaded a rooted ROM to install Nethunter using the Nethunter Store. It gives chroot errors which I am unable to solve. So then I decided to flash the ROM on tthe VM. I want to know how I can do so, seeing it is VMOS Pro and I don't know how to boot the VM in recovery mode. If you know, please help. My question is, clearing it again, that HOW CAN I BOOT VMOS PRO IN RECOVERY MODE TO FLASH KALI NETHUNTER. I have OnePlus Nord with Snapdragon 765G. 256GB ROM + 16GB RAM. Android 11 Latest Patch. VMOS Version 1.0.63 with custom ROM support. I havent paid for VMOS Pro as it has a free option too. [link] [comments]
disabled SD card permission overlay using ADB Posted: 02 Aug 2021 03:47 AM PDT I had been tinkering with ADB commands to remove bloatwares from my device. Now when I tried to provide permission to access my SD Card, the overlay showing internal storage/SD card storage where one has to manually provide permission to read and write SD card no longer appears. The problem is I no longer know what is the package name in-order to re-install it. ADB command shows all installed packages, Even after specifically mentioning to display only uninstalled packages. I get a full list of all packages. [link] [comments]
What are these weird marks on my phone? Posted: 02 Aug 2021 05:57 AM PDT So I just noticed this spot where I scroll the most or atleast one of the places I touch the most. It has small circular micro scratches and much larger faded circle that is not a scratch but something like a mark they are not visible when I turn the phone on but when the screen is off and I shine a flashlight on it its visible. My question is what is this? Is it oleophobic coating related coz I use alcohol wipes to clean the phone every few weeks? Or is it something else? What are the circular micro scratches and is this issue software related or strictly hardware related? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
| Gestures types/support explanation needed (really confused) Posted: 02 Aug 2021 09:02 AM PDT So for the past year and a half I've been using a Samsung Note8 which was my first flagship phone and in excitement of the big screen, I wanted to use ALL of the screen to I switched to using Gestures. The gestures on that phone worked by just swiping up from the bottom of the screen on the corresponding locations of where the regular buttons would be. Swipe up on the bottom left was the back button, swipe up in the middle was home, swipe up on the right was switch windows. This worked perfectly as it was basically the same as buttons but allowed full use of the screen from top to bottom 100% of the time. Fast forward until a couple of weeks ago when I recently bought a Sony Xperia 1 ii and enabled gestures only to find this works completely differently. On this phone you weirdly swipe inwards from either side to go back, swipe up anywhere at the bottom to go home and swipe up and hold to switch apps. Whilst this was a big shock to me, I've now gotten used to it but what I haven't got used to is the bloody annoying white bar at the bottom that you can't hide and many apps have a 'lip' of pixels at the bottom for the gesture bar and that really distracts from the full screen nature, ESPECIALLY since my Note8 didn't do this and that was running Android9! So my questions are - who decides which gesture navigation method to use? Is it up to the manufacturer or up to Google? If it's up to Google why the hell did they decide going from something that worked perfectly fullscreen 100% of the time needed changing to something that leaves an annoying white bar at the bottom that can't be removed and leaves a lip at the bottom causing most apps to not actually utilise all of the screen? Why can't we choose which gesture method to use and why does nobody talk about it on phone reviews? If I could use the gesture method on the Note8 but on this Xperia 1ii I would do it in a heartbeat. And why is there very little information about this out there? I mean granted I don't really keep up with phones, but when watching 5 different review video's each for the Xperia 1 ii and the OP 8 Pro when I was deciding between them, none of them mentioned the gesture types or gave any indication gestures would work differently to the way I'm used to on the Note8. Also since Android 11 has removed the Overscan feature the Hide Nav Bar app doesn't work to remove the ungodly sight of that white bar at the bottom, is there anything that will without rooting? | Screen timeout changed automatically to 1 second Posted: 02 Aug 2021 08:55 AM PDT I'm using the samsung galaxy f62. Today my screen timeout randomly got changed to 1 second. | [HELP] Many bugs on my Redmi Note 8 - MIUI 12.0.3.0 Posted: 02 Aug 2021 08:37 AM PDT My phone has a lot of annoying bugs that real hinder usage of some apps. For example, when I want to plan out a route on Google Maps, it doesn't work at all, it keeps loading. When am typing something in Snapchat or Instagram sometimes, the apps just crash (this happens daily). When I click on a site I searched on Google or Firefox, half of the time the sites just load infinitely. Making those apps almost unusable. My device also randomly reboots or crashes when I am too fast. I was thinking about installing a custom ROM, maybe this can fix the many bugs? Or do you guys have any tips or recommendations for me? | Warped, distorted auto-filter in photos? Posted: 02 Aug 2021 07:55 AM PDT So I have a Galaxy A51 5G, and when taking photos there's this horrible, warped like, auto-filter distortion if you zoom in, as though its trying to "smooth" small details together. Like I don't see a field of grass, I see a hellscape of green melting together at every angle. Please by god uhhhh is there a way to disable this? Ideally, so I can zoom in on something and have that something... still look like what it is just in a lower resolution or fuzzier, instead of being some... melty mess. [link] [comments] |
