| app or workaround to make PDFs Liquid Posted: 26 Aug 2021 12:11 PM PDT Some pdf files I save, when opened in Acrobat, are quickly converted into Liquid Mode, with text enlarged but also Flowed much like in a word processor or email. No horizontal scrolling, no pinching or finger zooming. it just works to be readable on a phone. Many PDFs don't support Liquid. What I want is to have them all be Liquid. | Recovery data on a stubborn broken phone Posted: 26 Aug 2021 10:30 AM PDT Hello everyone, I am asking for help because I tried all possible solutions that we can found online about data recovery and nothing worked. I have a Huawei phone with a broken screen black as the night and a non-responsive touch screen. A real black box. What I tried so far : display on another screen with an hdmi cable but nothing is displayed until the phone is unlocked. unlocked the phone with a keypad since it is a pin code which I know. access it with ADB but the usb debugger wasn't activated Is that another solution that I didn't know or is all my pictures lost ? | Any way to downgrade an app without losing data? Posted: 26 Aug 2021 09:58 AM PDT I am rooted. Although I can take a backup of data using Titanium Backup, uninstall newer version, and later restore data on an older version, I would much rather prefer a simpler solution. I found out an adb solution but it has stopped working since Android Pie. The ideal solution would be to somehow be able to simply tap on an older apk file, and successfully install using Package Installer without any error. Anyone knows of any such way? | Limit scope of Google account on device? Posted: 26 Aug 2021 09:54 AM PDT I have an Android tablet which we plug into the TV for things like YouTube TV, regular YouTube, and other non-Google services. However, since this means I gotta be logged in to my Google account, that means any other Google service with an app installed is accessible and blasting its notifications out. Is there any way for me to log in to my Google account, but to restrict access to only a specific set of services (such as only YouTube and YouTube TV, while blocking Gmail and Drive)? I infrequently use the tablet as a mobile device for things like Microsoft Office or connecting to another PC via RDP, so I've already set it up with two local user profiles so I can switch between them when I've plugged it back in to the TV or when I'm using it for productivity. But, either way, so long as my Google account is logged in to either local user, all the Google services and such are also available to either local user. I know my setup is jank, but for now that's how it is. I COULD create a separate Google account, then create a family, invite the new account, etc., but that is not preferable since that'll create a second Gmail account, YouTube account, etc. and seems even more jank. I don't have the cash to get a Chromecast/Roku/whatever (and my TV is too old to natively support Miracast), not to mention that would essentially break how it's now being used Android TV-style, complete with a TV-style launcher and a remote that actually interfaces to the tablet through its IR blaster. My hunch is though it's gonna just be that it's impossible. I mean, I've been searching off-and-on for awhile, even found out how to create the multiple local user profiles, but nothing like what I want. I'm also not comfortable with trying a rooting solution. Does anyone know if the primary thesis of this post can be achieved? | Android messages contract name not appearing Posted: 26 Aug 2021 06:53 AM PDT Last week two, and only two, of my contacts stop appearing as names in Android messages and are appearing as numbers. I have tried resyncing, I have tried flushing the cache on both contacts and messages, I have restarted the phone. The only hint I found is that if I press the Add contact button, the phone number appears to have a +52 country code when my contact is in the US. I'm posting this here, because over at One+ thread, it appears I've been shadow-banned and my posts are automatically declined, which is really sad :( Anyhow - I just got a brand new OnePlus 9 Pro and the battery went from 54% to 50% in under 5 minutes while plugged in. I was in the process of finishing the initial setup, and decided to download 600+ songs on Spotify, in very high quality option, over wifi 5Ghz network. Could the above be the problem? | Posted: 26 Aug 2021 02:11 AM PDT As the title says - I've been using Pixels for quite a while now and not used to non-pixel configurations. I used to simply use the desktop searchbar to voice command stuff like "turn the office lights on" (which would turn on the office lights... via google home or hue - not sure) or "play the news" (which would open the google podcast app and play a selection of the latest podcast news and whatnot automatically). Now when I utter the same commands to the voice search I just get search results. Additionally in Pixel 3a I had a digital well being app that would simply turn off most of the notifications not unlike the DND mode but fully automatic which could be paused for 30 minutes at a time via the notification. I can't figure out how to turn it on or what app I need to install - the Digital Wellbeing app on playstore doesn't provide that function. Any help will be appreciated! [link] [comments] |

Is there a possibility to deactivate the preselection in which account the appointment will be created in order to save me from embarrassing moments if I accidentally shared private appointments in the business calendar? | Audio Quiet Over Aux on Galaxy S20+ Posted: 25 Aug 2021 11:05 PM PDT Hello there! I've seen others have this issue before but nothing has really answered my question. I've tried 3 separate 3.5mm adapters and all of them play quieter over aux. There is also less bass. For example, if I throw a cd in, I can get my mirrors to shake, but I don't get anything like that from my aux. Its quite frustrating. I'm hoping a bluetooth fm receiver is the answer to my issues if nothing else helps, but who knows. Anyway, I am currently using a Belkin combo charger and aux adapter. I have tried only aux ones as well. My car is a 2009 Pontiac G6 and it just has a simple aux connector slot. I mention my car make and model since perhaps this is part of the issue. My roommate has no issues with his iPhone 8, using the same aux cable so I know it isn't that. Is there a setting or app I can use to make it louder without butchering audio quality? | Preventing Android from offering a particular app when opening links Posted: 25 Aug 2021 10:21 PM PDT I use my phone - Galaxy S10+ (Android 11) for work and personal, so I have work profile enabled. My employer keeps Edge installed as a web browser within work profile and I can't uninstall it. What this means is that every time I open an link, even when I'm within a personal app, the system asks me if I want to open it in my personal Chrome, or in my work Edge browser.
