I received an anonymous threatening voicemail, upon trying to access it again, my voicemail stated "it was no longer available" which never happens with my voicemail. Later that day I noticed my google assistant had run a search that I didn't make. It was on my home screen with a paragraph of "spoken" text and articles being suggested about " how to deal with toxic people". Needless to say, I was a little freaked. I've checked the phone dozens of times to which I've never found any evidence of malware. So my questions are;
Needless to say I'm having a hard time explaining the weird phone behaviour with multiple security apps finding nothing sinister. Thanks for any feedback! [link] [comments] |

Since my last update a couple of days ago I think, whenever I use my phone it is constantly telling me that it can't connect to the devices that it is paired with (because I don't have those devices turned on). How do I stop it from constantly giving me these annoying "cannot connect" messages aside from unpairing all my devices or turning them on? I've already tried rebooting my phone. I didn't know that was a fake account at first The link was a shortcut so it looked real then after I clicked on it I saw it was a fake site that had the name of the real site but it had different words and numbers in there. I immediately left then went to the real Instagram account of the person then in their IG story they said that other account wasn't there's. Even I left the suspicious site immediately and didn't put in my account details, is it possible I got something on my phone now? Are virus/malware apps reliable on phones? I don't play games so I will uninstall these apps shortly afterwards. However, I'm worried that the apps will leave trace files and other junk after uninstalling them. How on earth can I tell android to fuck off with Drive in the share menu and start populating it with things I actually use?? | Posted: 09 Aug 2021 06:34 AM PDT Hi there, I bought an SD card of 64 gb for my Razer Phone 2 and I'd like to transfer big data in it (Spotify songs, videos, useless apps). I can't find any option to safely move data from my phone to the SD card. On top of it, i inserted the card, l installed it as memory extension and, out of nowhere i filled up 20 gb on it!! That is, my phone continues to have 97% of usage data plus 20 more GB on the SD card created apparently from thin air. How's it even possible? Did google just transfer there stuff, what criterion did it even use? I downloaded an app 'files to SD card' which could do the transfer, however when selecting the root of the SD card it returns me the following message : 'no root directory has been selected'. I am afraid my card has been installed as extension of the SD card and thus cannot be used to transfer data from the phone to the SD card. However, after the creation of the 20 additional gb, i am afraid of reformatting the SD card to reinstall it differently. Hope this is clear enough [link] [comments] |

I tried using a hair blower on the lowest setting to evaporate any moisture and eventually got it cleaned at a phone repair place near me. At the repair place, he plugged in the phone after the job and showed it charging to 5% and everything was working; when I got home I excitedly went to plug in my phone to charge it finally and again, neither my own nor my brother's chargers worked. It's battery died and when I turned it on again, the fingerprint sensor was not working to unlock the phone, it works fine on apps that require it, but to unlock it mostly doesn't. | Posted: 09 Aug 2021 06:09 AM PDT I have a Pixel 4a5g and it's suddenly stopped working: it won't turn on, charge or even go into safe mode. The screen is just blank. I have to send it back to Google and they will send me a replacement as I'm within warranty, however I want to remove my data from the phone. I have removed my Google account from the phone using a web browser which should take away access to Cloud data, but anything that's on the device hard drive is still there. I tried plugging my phone into my laptop with a USB cable but it doesn't pick it up. Anyone have a solution on how to access the hard drive on my phone? [link] [comments] |

The cursor slowly moved to brighter brightness. I was shocked. I dunno if it was lag. Or Google maps. Or my Dad saying he needs the display adjusted aloud. I went in the app store and looked in reviews cause I was bored and someone said that apparently smart security does phone calls without your knowledge and steals data. | Posted: 09 Aug 2021 09:04 AM PDT Trying to set up a brand new S21 Ultra Exynos. None of the initial Google Play setup works (stuck at installing 0 out of 5 applications). A notification also appears for Download Manager which tries to update Google Play, but this then disappears and reappears randomly. Have tried factory resetting several times, setting up the phone without a SIM card, setting up the phone without a Google account and the same issue still appears. I have also tried all the usual fixes - clearing storage/cache from Download Manager, Google Play Store, Google Play Services etc. with the same result each time. [link] [comments] |

I want to take pictures of myself using a tripod and back cameras on the phone which won't allow me to preview them. In order to preview them and also see the preview on a larger screen I was thinking about mirroring the phone to my tablet wirelessly. I searched for the apps but all of them need wifi or cellular connection. I will be in the area where there is no signal so this won't work for me. Are there any apps that allow to mirror a phone (including access to a camera app) to a tablet wirelessly without using wifi or a cellular network? I guess it will be via bluetooth. I blocked a contact a few months ago, but today I realized I would like some of the pictures that were contained in our Messages conversation. Unfortunately, when I open the conversation, the pictures do not download anymore and the app doesn't recognize spaces between messages where the pictures used to be. Posted: 09 Aug 2021 02:28 AM PDT System data folder (Samsung A40, with no possibility to root) According to Diskusage, My phone's memory keeps shrinking to abnormal levels and all I can do is factory reset every few months, and the space is back to normal. I tried clearing cache but that does not change anything to the system data folder. What can I do? My other phones (incl. Samsung Note 10+) do free up memory after a while, but it looks like my Samsung A40 keeps duplicates of everything and since there is no reliable way to root it, I can't do anything about the system data folder. Tried the solution of using simple keyboard which didn't do anything, now auto complete isn't working either. Any suggestions to have both predictions for the following word AND word suggestions as soon as a letter is input? Android 11 Galaxy S21 5G Posted: 09 Aug 2021 07:04 AM PDT On my previous phone (Pixel 3) when I clicked the share icon from a photo and sent it via Outlook the photos would all arrive as attachments. Now, with my new Android 11 Galaxy S21 5G the photos arrive as embedded images and these are a pain to download as you have to right-click on each one, navigate to the folder (desktop), name the image and save it. When they are attachments I can just drag & drop them or click 'save all' Please help! [link] [comments] |

I flashed a combination file which got me to the "factory binary" where I can unlock OEM and enable USB Debugging, but I don't know where to go from here: https://i.imgur.com/Pf7oK6l.jpg I flashed a stock ROM, but that doesn't get rid of doordash and MobiControl during setup.
