Posted: 31 Jul 2021 12:05 PM PDT I have a Galaxy S6 that's in a reboot loop, and I'd prefer not to factory reset it due to the length of time since the last backup. I don't think it's a hardware issue because it will stay "up" for as long as I want in the recovery boot screen, but it shuts down/reboots a few seconds after loading the Android home screen. My thought was to reapply the latest system update via adb in case there was an update that failed on the device/if it turned off at an inopportune time (at this point I'm grasping at straws). However, I don't know where one gets official files that would match OTA updates. (e.g. sideloading guides like this one tend to start with "assuming you have a copy" or some such language) Could someone provide any guidance on this? Other possibly relevant information, including what I've tried for fixing the reboot loop, in case anyone wants to offer advice on that:

| Screen off sound notifications on vibrate mode? Posted: 31 Jul 2021 11:54 AM PDT I have a Galaxy Note 9 running Android 10. I usually keep my phone in vibrate mode only. Recently, when my phone screen is off, whenever I get a notification it makes my notification sound in addition to vibrating. I have tried to toggle my notification sound to Silent both system-wide and within the individual apps that I'm often getting notifications from (Whatsapp, Textra, Gmail, ect) but have had no luck so far. | Audio files automatically downloaded to phone Posted: 31 Jul 2021 10:49 AM PDT I was going to play some music from my phone, so I went to my music playing app when I noticed there were some weird audio files appearing along with my music. They're supposed to be notification sounds I think, but I never downloaded them. I went to files to see where they came from, and they were added to my phone 17 hours ago (as of typing this) and are located in a file called com.google.android.gm, which apparently is Gmail. So, why were these downloaded to my phone and is it ok to delete them? [link] [comments] |

It's very annoying when browsing reddit or any website. He asked me to edit a video of his so I went on edit video and it said i wouldn't do this feature because storage was full. I was clicking random options in folders and deleting them not thinking much of it because I just saw names like alarm etc. I went back to gallery and realised I've deleted EVERY ONE OF HIS PICTURES WHICH GO BACK TO LIKE 2018... Firstly, the seal says it was a European model that was bought by 'Reseal ltd' to be opened and the changes were adding a uk 3 pin plug changing the firmware to English and adding a English help manual. I guess it makes sense but I would've thought Samsung has their own separate uk models of this phone and done it themselves. I also tried to search the company reseal ltd up but not much came up. Is revealing of a brand new phone allowed to be done third parties and is the company legitimate? Also the chrome app when opened the first tab is always redirected to 'blue news' link name is bluewin.ch which is extremely suspicious and I am worried it is adware or something put in by reseal ltd as they were the people who opened it and changed the firmware. Does anyone else's chrome get redirected to that site? If you think this is suspicious any suggestions on what I should do? [link] [comments] |

| My phone no longer detects my headphones Posted: 31 Jul 2021 09:31 AM PDT Hi there. I have a pair of totally new headphones so they are not the issue, i've tried them with my laptop as well and they work fine. My phone was able to detect them before but all of a sudden not at all. When I plug my headphones in and play music the sound plays out the speakers instead. It doesn't matter if I play from my music app or Youtube. I also went into audio settings and even when my headphones are plugged in the headphone-section of settings cannot be accessed because it says I need to plug in a pair of headphones first, but they are plugged in... So my phone cannot feel that I plugged headphones in. Still if I unplug the headphones the music pauses on my phone and same if I plug them in again so obviously my phone can detect something. Restarting does not work. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy J3 and my headphones are Sony. [link] [comments] |

I did not purposely download these audios or download any app that would do this. I looked in the details of it and it was under the path : android>media>com.google.android.gm>notification What exactly is com.google.android.gm and is it normal behaviour for it to download audio itself? I have this tradition of listenig to a voicemail I saved from my grandparents every year on my birthday since they passed. My birthday is mid-July, and like the previous years, I opened my Google Music app to listen to my grandparents sing me happy birthday. I panicked this year because I opened the app (the first time since my previous birthday in 2020 because I really only use spotify now) to find that Google music was bought by YouTube. So, I tried checking my internal storage to find it and I can't seem to locate any voicemail past 2020 (I did get an upgraded phone in Jan 2020). At this point, I'm slightly panicking and very very sad. I'm reaching out wondering if there is any way in this magnificent universe that this voicemail is somehwere out there in the void and is retrievable? Thank you for any help you can provide. I have over 4 gigs of free space left but every time I try to install any file larger than 1gb, it says "App not installed." And I've never had trouble with this. I'm at the setup screen where you can choose language etc.. but it takes like 6 seconds EVERY time I choose a language and I can't go beyond the setup screen, because of how slow it is. | Motorola One 5g Ace notification bar appearing randomly Posted: 31 Jul 2021 06:48 AM PDT It happens no matter what app I'm using, there's no specific app notification, just shows the wifi, DND, gps, Bluetooth icons, etc. So it's not app specific, just the plain notification bar randomly sliding down when I'm in the middle of doing something and I have to slide it back up out of my way. I've also noticed that sometimes my screen will randomly flash, not in any certain app either and I can't find answers to any of this on Google. | Samsung S21+ Outbound Phone Issue Posted: 31 Jul 2021 06:15 AM PDT I have a Samsung S21+ that I have been using on Bell (Canada) for about 3 months +/-. Starting 2 days ago on outbound phone calls I have been having very weird behaviour and can't for the life of me figure out what's going on. Inbound calls are unaffected. On outbound calls at approx. 10 seconds after I initiate the call I get "Number Invalid" and the call terminates with beeping. This happens on about 75% of outbound phone calls. In many cases, the other end answers, I hear them, sometimes (about 50%) they hear me, then the call terminates. Attached in comments is a screen shot of what the message shows. For updatings it was very easy and effective as well. Since a few months although it's all being so poor. 8 of 10 searches give no results and of dozens of apps I installed only 5 updatings are presented.
