Posted: 06 May 2021 08:01 AM PDT I recently bought a Blackvue DR900X-2CH dashcam which connects to my Samsung Galaxy S9 through a direct wifi connection. The problem is that if I am connected to the Blackvue, I can't use mobile data to use navigation apps or browse web sites. Is there a setting, app, or workaround I can use to get around this? I've tried looking in settings and google searching but haven't been successful. I read about something called 'Smart Wifi Switching' but can't find this setting on my phone. [link] [comments] |

After changing my old card out for a new SIM card, people are still able to call me on my old number for some reason, as well as my new number But they can't send SMS to me. | Starting Samsung camera recording from Windows 10 Posted: 06 May 2021 06:16 AM PDT I'm trying to record myself playing guitar, and have a tripod I put my Samsung in. But, I need to press record on the phone, and then sit down and wonder if the whole guitar is in the frame. When I play, there needs to be minimal latency, so the CPU needs to focus on the audio. I hoped there might be an app that lets me start the camera remotely, so that I could check the frame with e.g. iVCam first, and then trigger the recording from my laptop (windows 10) ... Or maybe I should think otherwise ... Is there such an app? Over wi-fi, USB or Bluetooth? [link] [comments] |
| Is there really No way to Modify / Change IMS and CSC Settings Since One UI 3.0 / 3.1? Posted: 06 May 2021 03:28 AM PDT This is nuts, I've scoured the web looking for workarounds and got nothing. Can't access either hidden menus using stock Samsung dialer, Google dialer, or Simple dialer. Activity Launcher (creates shortcuts from app "activities") and Nova Launcher can't work around new restrictions. Logcat complains package com.example.app has not requested permission com.sec.imslogger.permission.SERVICE if you attempt to grant the required permission for IMS access. You will be made aware of this requirement after attempting to launch an IMS / CSC shortcut created using either app. Without access to IMS settings, T-Mobile customers (or any US customer really) won't be able to manually configure VoLTE, ViLTE, and RCS on Samsung devices running unlocked One UI >:3.0 firmware. Another option is (or was?) Alliance Shield X but its Knox license was revoked by Samsung a few days ago. Don't trust an app that requires yet another account to make local changes to your device. Not sure why an app of this nature harvests so much sensitive information. Even that last one can fail depending on where you look. I don't plan on installing it. [link] [comments] |

I want to see what the person did/used in terms of apps, or if the user uninstalled or installed specific apps (messenger, Teams, Outlook, Text Messages, etc) I have gone into the android SDK and have started looking up different logs but I dont believe that this is the data that I am looking for. | Posted: 06 May 2021 11:22 AM PDT Just so it's clear it's nothing dodgy, it's just device set-up videos, so local information only personal to me as the owner which I don't mind sharing with those who will view this (employees in a support role) My phone is a P30 Pro, running Android 10. The screen recording will only go so far before blacking out which doesn't help much. And I've made an horrible attempt to try setting up a camera to record the screen but the results are meh. But I wanted to give it a try and see if anyone can help me out! I'm wondering if someone out there can verify if the website, android-recovery.net is a legitimate, safe to download from website or if I just willingly let myself get scammed? And perhaps if the files available for download within it are safe, harmless, legitimate? They advertise phone recovery software, but I know that these can be faked to look like the real thing when they in fact, aren't. I tried to do some research on the site and came up with nothing. I stupidly and without thought downloaded software from the website and used it along with my phone. I'm now extremely worried that I may have downloaded unsafe software. This is after I already used said software to scan my phone in an attempt to recover a text message that I had not backed up. I was unsuccessful, but worry that now all that data is compromised and I just gave someone or something access to my phone with this software. I'm not %100 sure what the relevant brand info is but it says "V60ThinQ" on the back. I'm using the default LG keyboard. Every time I type ":)" or some other face in a text, it converts it to a picture after I press send. I do not want it to do this. I want to send ":)" exactly as I've typed it. In the keyboard settings I've turned off auto-correct and turned off "suggest emoticons for words typed." In the messaging app itself I can't find any relevant setting to toggle. I have a MIDI-to-USB cable, and a USB to USB 3.0 adapter. I can't get my phone to recognize the MIDI. The cable itself doesn't even seem to be powered by the connection on the phone. The cable shows the LED light indicating that is function when it is connected to my laptop. Is there a certain kind of MIDI-to-USB cable and adapter I need to use to ensure a connection? It's as though there's not actually a link to the article. And when I try to use search from my search bar on the phone it closes down and I have to actually open up Chrome and do a search there. Now my aunt needs a new phone and the S6 seems like a great option if I can bypass the FRP. I'm not opposed to paying for the service if I can avoid the cost of a brand new device. Posted: 06 May 2021 08:18 AM PDT I have been looking for a filter that allows me to either adjust or cut color channels on the screen, or mash the entire thing to monochrome (either panchromaticaly, orthocromatically, or another scheme. See film photography for those terms.), then display to certain color channels, thus, potentially allowing me to better use my phone of a night with a red only display, for example. Does anyone know if this kind of app exists? I have seen many that overlays the screen with a certain color, but none so far do what I'm wanting. [link] [comments] |

It has (S20/N20) in the name, but in the description it says that it's for Galaxy devices. So is the S21 equivalent of that driver preinstalled on the S21 series or should I install it? No big deal i uninstalled and then when i wanted to listen to music there was an abnormal amount of base and some songs sounded really bad. I recently changed my phone, traspassed all the data and it was still the same. I tried different phones and earphones and it sounds perfect. But whenever i use my phone its terrible. Upon doing a bit of searching on the Internet it seems that Android has changed some of its permissions regarding audio capture from the FM tuner. An excerpt from the Android 11 release notes: " Audio capture from FM tuner requires a privileged permission In Android 11, audio source MediaRecorder.AudioSource.RADIO_TUNER All of the APK's that I have found for the native Samsung FM radio application seem to intended for Android 10. I got reminded by a friend about these and went scouring every part of the web i could find, but to no luck, as most were either dead links and one pack was (probably, unless nostalgia is blinding me,) much lower res than the internal res ones seen on home screens and such.
