YouTube updated to remove the explore tab and replace it with a Shorts tab Posted: 24 May 2021 10:31 AM PDT I'm using YouTube Vanced so I'm unsure if it is that, I don't believe it to be as the version hasn't updated. But I don't update the app from the Play store either. However the bottom nav bar was just updated to show a stories button. Please let me know if yours if like this or any articles detailing this change would be appreciated!! [link] [comments]

MediaTek Dimensity 900 vs Snapdragon 778G Posted: 24 May 2021 09:54 PM PDT The dual cluster architecture has been installed in the Dimensity 900 processor. This processor has a big little approach of 2+6. At the same time, tri cluster architecture has been installed in the Snapdragon 778G processor. In which a big little approach of 1+3+4 has been implemented. In MediaTek Dimensity 900, the first 2X cores have been installed for high-performance tasks. Which has an ARM CORTEX-A78 CPU. Which has a clock speed of 2.4 GHz. For the Snapdragon chipset, the first 1X core in this processor is installed for high-performance tasks. In which KRYO 670 Prime CPU is installed which is based on ARM CORTEX A78. The clock speed here is 2.4 GHz. If the CPU of these two processors is seen properly, then the same processor has the same CPU installed. But the Dimensity 900 processor has more clock speed than the Snapdragon 778G processor. Because it has 6X cores of 2.0 GHz. That is, more than Snapdragon 778G cores have been installed in this processor single and multi-core.Both these processors are 64 bit octa-core processors. That is, both these processors have 8-8 cores for task distribution and multi tasking The Dimensity 900 Processor features ARM MALI G68 MC4 GPU while Qualcomm Adreno 642L GPU has been installed in the Snapdragon 778G Processor. In terms of display, Dimensity 900 processor supports Full HD + Display. The resolution of which is 2520×1080. In this display, we get a refresh rate of 120 HZ while Snapdragon 778G supports an FHD+ display. With which the refresh rate is 144HZ. The pixel support available in it is 1080×2520. The Dimensity 900 is a slightly better processor in terms of clock speed. But Snapdragon 778G is a better processor in terms of camera support. But if you choose a good processor looking at clock speed, then Dimensity 900 is a better processor than the Snapdragon 778G. Thoughts? [link] [comments]

Why is there no equivalent of Apple One in Google ecosystem? Posted: 22 May 2021 04:21 AM PDT I've been wondering about it for quite some time. I love Android. I really do. However, recently, it seems that buying Apple is... Cheaper. Never thought I'd say this. Take a look at their devices - longer support and higher reselling price makes them a worthy choice. This thread is not about the devices though. It's about the software. After the announcement of lossless music streaming in Apple Music, I became interested in what Apple offers, services-wise. Side-note here, I know that you need amplifiers to benefit from High-Res music. I do have it. So there's Apple One. For 20 bucks (family plan), you get:
This is a terrific deal. Really. Prices are different in all countries, so let me give you an example of prices in my country (Poland): Basic individual Apple One plan costs 25 PLN (7 USD). Family plan costs 40 PLN (11 USD). To get the same value from Google, I'd have to pay: 14 PLN (4 USD) for 200 GB Google One plan, 30 PLN for a family YouTube Music plan (8 USD), 23 PLN for Google Play Pass (6 USD). And I'd get no movie pass (apple tv+ has some quality shows) nor lossless music streaming. See where I'm going with this? Apple has better value! Add the fact that you cannot even access all Google features without having a paid membership, ie. you cannot edit photos using the full set of filters in Google Photos app while not being a Google One subscriber. Apple doesn't do that with their software. I am genuinely astonished by that. How come it is more expensive to be in Google ecosystem nowadays? Why cannot Google, being the owner of so many services, create a subscription plan similar to Apple One? [link] [comments] |
