    APKs New AndroidTV Launcher

    Posted: 11 Feb 2021 08:10 AM PST

Today I got the new AndroidTV launcher after updating androidtvhome and coreservices on playstore. I extracted the apks and thought about sharing them with you:

    AndroidTVHome

    AndroidTVCoreServices

Also I had to reboot after updating, so if the launcher doesn't change immediately after upgrading, try a restart. I hope it works for you too, expecting feedback!

EDIT: Please open links from browser, not from the Reddit app because downloading might not work.

    Best Bluetooth Remote

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 08:59 PM PST

I purchased my Sony Bravia second hand. The TV was in amazing condition but the remote was missing the backplate. About a year after receiving the TV, the remote died. I've gone without for some time as I haven't used my TV. - - I mounted my TV today and realized the best way to control my TV is to use my phone. But I'm missing key features such as the quick options menu for things like turning the display off while the unit stays on. - - Anyone recommend a remote that functions with ATV 7.0, under 50USD, and can survive regular everyday life such as drops or spills? Devices like Formuler GTV-BT1 looks promising but it doesn't appear that the additional features work on other devices. Everything else I see on Amazon looks pretty crappy.

Can't get movies/series suggestions from HBO app (the one available in Europe) on Google TV installed on Android TV.

    Posted: 11 Feb 2021 06:22 AM PST

So as I mentioned on the title I can't get the suggestions for movies/series from the HBO app to show up on the main screen.

Anyone else facing this? Is there any way to solve it or is the app that can't be integrated with Google TV?

    Xbox One Controller Questions

    Posted: 11 Feb 2021 05:59 AM PST

Are the Xbox controllers all compatible with most android tv boxes and androids?

I have a ps4 controller that works well but recently found out that older models of ps4 controllers don't pair with android tv (except maybe shield).

Anyone know if xbox controllers are similar? Do they all have bluetooth?

I'm looking at buying a cheap used one and curious if it's a waste of time like the older ps4 models.

    Thanks

Keyboard/Mouse (Razer Turret) on Android TV with Parsec

    Posted: 11 Feb 2021 04:47 AM PST

Before I take the plunge and purchase a hugely expensive keyboard/mouse, thought I'd check to see if anyone else knows this works ok.

I have my PC in another room in the house, but have Parsec (https://parsec.app/) setup between the android TV (on Sony AF9) and the PC. All works fine.

I now need a cordless Keyboard & Mouse so I can play games in the living room (mostly Baldur's Gate 3). Does the Razer Turret work fine with Android TV? Has anyone used this combo? (https://www.razer.com/gb-en/gaming-keyboards/Razer-Turret-for-Xbox-One/RZ84-02820200-B3W1)

Are there alternatives I should look at?

YTTV unresponsive to my Nvidia Shield Pro remote

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 04:38 PM PST

Help! I have an Nvidia Shield Tv Pro with YouTube Tv installed on it. I am however unable to use my remote to access content from the app. I can only open and close the app. I have to cast from my phone to the screen. What could be preventing the shield remote from working on the YTTV app?

    LeEco apps not working

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 03:44 PM PST

I wanted a tv in my bedroom and a friend offered me a 55" LeEco for only $100. It was in the box and he said it hadn't really been used. It appears to be in great condition, no scratches on the screen or anything. I mostly wanted it for my consoles so I didn't really plan to use the apps on the tv much, but I thought it would be nice and haven't had a chance to set my consoles up yet. So I logged into Hulu and everything appeared to be ok, it let me sign in just fine. However, when I tried to actually watch something it would load for a few seconds and then give me the pop up message "Unfortunately, Hulu has stopped." And it crashes. I tried to go to YouTube and inside the app it gives me the error "This isn't available right now" or "An error has occurred"

I'm not sure if this is important but it's also the only android device that I have. There was also no manual in the box. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Xplore app on Chromcast 4 does not show USB Pendrive

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 10:00 AM PST

I have a problem with my Chromcast 4 with Android TV.

I plugged in AUKEY 6in1 USB C Hub and wanted to watch movies from an USB Pendrive. Problem is all apps I checked does not show the external storage. I tried switching On the OTG option in Xplore app but that only helped so when I'm plugging in the pendrive now app asks me if I want to allow it to access but after that nothing happens and I don't see the pendrive.

    Has anyone had similar problems?

Amazon Fire Stick 4K vs Mi Box 4K in India

Amazon Fire Stick 4K vs Mi Box 4K in India

    https://preview.redd.it/kwm7q2g1srg61.png?width=1260&format=png&auto=webp&s=22f481444c42119f1647f4872e566c829e3589e1

I have looked all over the web for the answer to this question, but all the answers actually confused me even more.

So, I already have a smart TV. It's not Android, it's smart.

I need to install apps like Stremio so that I can watch movies over Torrent.

Other than that, my TV can run pretty much every app natively.

PS: I have Amazon Prime as well, if that is an added bonus in case I choose Fire Stick.

Anyway, I am confused as there is no fixed answer to which device is better.

What I would mainly give stars to:

    • Longer update support
    • Fluid interface with least lags
    • Price

In India, here the pricing of both devices:

    1. Fire Stick 4K: ₹5,999 (~$82)
    2. Mi Box 4K: ₹4,200 (~$58)

Now, Fire Stick 4K is much costly than Mi Box. But, is it a better device?

Or, is that price tag unfair? If that's the case, why do people even buy Fire Stick?

    Need genuine help :)
