- Hey guys I just got an S20 ultra a few days ago and I used zedge to set up the bbm notification sound. But when I get snapchat notications half the time it still plays the regular bbm sound and not the snapchat sound. Any suggestions?

| Unable to decrypt internal storage in orangefox or twrp recovery Posted: 06 Feb 2021 06:12 AM PST I am trying to install masgisk but orangefox recovery doesnot decrypt files and shows gibberish. Shouldn't there be a prompt asking for password or pin that decrypts the data and displays the files? It used to ask for password when i opened orangefox before but it doesnot happen anymore. I have tried both twrp recovery as well as orangefox. Can someone help me? [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 06 Feb 2021 12:30 PM PST I can access the notification history on a widget as was told following instructions on a website, and I did. I can see the notification but when I press on it, only thing it shows is code but no content exactly and it also doesn't redirect me to the and specific app? Say a tinder message before being unmatched? I know if I press the notification I would be able to see it even if unmatched but I cleared all notifications by mistake. File was in apk format and it was suggested to rename file as .zip to extract content. I downloaded the file about 28 mb using brave browser. However as soon as file got downloaded it tried to install itself , without me clicking on it. Though it couldn't got installed , got error Problem parsing package error. Even in my brave browser , "install unknown apps" is set to "not allowed" Still any idea why this happened without authorisation. Should i reset my phone. | Sharing an item offers weird contacts to send to Posted: 06 Feb 2021 02:31 AM PST So I click share and 99% of the time I send the item to my son via WhatsApp but whenever I click share the only specific WhatsApp contact it suggests in the grid (which contains direct link/twitter etc..) is my nephew who I very rarely send anything to. So infuriating, my son should clearly be the suggestion. I have to click on WhatsApp then click on my son's name. Anyone know how to change that one suggestion please? [link] [comments] |

I've turned off the function but the prompts still appear at least 3 times per day. It's driving me nuts. I can't turn it off in the notification settings or uninstall it. | Galaxy S10 Update to Android 11 failed, how to fix stuck on boot logo Posted: 06 Feb 2021 11:28 AM PST Hello guys I updated my Galaxy S10 SM-G973F stock via update menu in the settings to Android 11 One UI 3.0 . Now my phone stucks on Samsung boot logo. I tried in recovery mode while cache but it didn't help. I can't factor reset because of important data files. | CTS profile false on a non-rooted phone Posted: 06 Feb 2021 11:00 AM PST So, i have a unlocked bootloader for backup purposes, but have not otherwise rooted my phone. Almost all apps (banking and google pay included) function without issue, but the McDonald's coupons app refuses to work. | Unknown device added to my google account Posted: 06 Feb 2021 10:59 AM PST Was going through my google account and saw an unknown account added to my google. A galaxy nexus logged in on 27 Dec 2020 and logged out on 3 Feb 2021. The IP address is same as my ip address but no one is my house uses this device and I did not login my gmail into any other device. I checked through my mail and even got a mail of new device login. I have changed the password and skimmed through the account recent activities and saw nothing fishy as of now. Turned on two step verification too. | Unblock notifications from a specific conversation in Messages Posted: 06 Feb 2021 09:59 AM PST So I fumbled my phone and accidentally mashed some random buttons. Somehow I've blocked notifications from two specific conversations in Messenger. I get notifications from other conversations, just not these ones (they're also the two people I message the most, FML). If I go into the conversation > hamburger > details > notifications, it says "At your request, Android is blocking this category of notifications from appearing on this device." | Posted: 06 Feb 2021 09:52 AM PST I'm not sure what's happening to my phone but it doesn't seem to get that it is already connected to the WIFI. My wifi is on and my phone is connected to my wifi. I can browse perfectly fine on it and watch videos with it. But somehow Google Play and Google Photos does not seem to recognize that the phone is connected to the wifi for it to carryout their auto-update and syncing functions. I selected auto-update of apps for wifi connection. In the past, Google Photos was able to sync my photos from my phone to my Google account just fine. I just discovered that all photos from November onwards did not sync. Anyone have a clue what's happening? What do I need to do to fix this? I am super lost. Help would be super appreciated. | Control images on Windows PC with my Android phone Posted: 06 Feb 2021 09:48 AM PST I'm looking for a way to manipulate images I'm looking at on my PC (zooming, pinching, slide to next image) by using the usual gestures on my phone. To maybe explain my use case further: I'm reading a comic/ manga etc. on my monitor, and sometimes I want to zoom in on a panel or speech bubble and move the image around or just advance to the next page. It's a bit annoying to do that with a keyboard, so I thought maybe there is a way to do that with the more intuitive gestures on a touchscreen so that I could lay back. I'm sure this can be done with something like a drawing-tablet but is anyone aware of e.g. an image viewer for windows that comes with a companion app, or any other way to achieve this? Sometimes, when opening the share menu, IMO messenger contacts pop up (after the other app icons and names are showing), which causes me to tap right on one and send something to an unintended recipient. I don't believe this is an issue specific to the launcher as I am pretty sure I noticed this previously with Nova. I've got a home screen shortcut I've created to my employers Salesforce website. By default the shortcut opens in "webview". I would like to be able to set the shortcut to open in the full chrome app with "desktop site" enabled because this particular Salesforce site does not remember properly in webview or non-desktop mode. | Posted: 06 Feb 2021 08:47 AM PST I had the deezer app on my SD card and it didn't have any problem, I unmounted the SD, copied the deezer folder to my internal storage and the app didn't open. So I just deleted the folder I copied into the internal storage but now I can't download the app through the Playstore, it says the app couldn't be installed, I also tried downloading an apk of deezer, but same happens, it says the apk didn't get installed. I wiped the SD card and I'm not using it anymore on my phone, I checked all the folders on internal storage and as far as I'm concerned there are no leftovers of the app. Any tip will be appreciated :) thanks.
