| I can delete this bar above my keyboard Posted: 12 Jan 2021 09:57 AM PST About a month or two ago this bar populated above my default Samsung keyboard. It suggested usernames I don't use and is really obnoxious. I thought it was from Samsung pass; I searched Samsung pass high and low, deleted samsung pass cache, disabled samsung pass with a disabler, deleted my samsung account... nothing. I've searched Google- nothing. I long press them and nothing. What is this bar and how can I delete its saved usernames and disable it? Thank you for any suggestions and help! [link] [comments] |

I don't receive their toxic text messages anymore, but I still get calls and I don't understand why/how? Do I need to delete their number from my phone in order for the block to take full effect? I've noticed when I take screenshots of some games that play in widescreen, they always come out weird: Example - The screenshots don't even look correct when viewing on my phone. | Android 11 wifi printing issues Posted: 12 Jan 2021 11:46 AM PST My Wife and I are both using Samsung S20 Ultras on Verizon. After the Android 11 update, our wifi printing for both phones is completely unusable. I have spent an excessive amount of time going through different message boards and tech groups trying to find anyone else having these issues, but it seems wifi issues in general plagued everyone when Android 11 released. My printer(HP5212) and router(ASUS) are fine. Everyone else can use them just fine. It's just her phone and mine that have this issue. Please, any help would be much appreciated as sometimes i am printing stuff on the fly, and pulling out my laptop becomes a hassle(FWP). *wifi direct printing is also not working Thank you in advance for any and all help. Make sure your device is connected to a network and then restart the game" whenever I try to open COD on OnePlus 8t. Even upgraded the OOS to 11.0.6.8. tried both mobile internet and wifi. After that the tablet works fine but when i try to access the bootloader it starts a bootloop so i've got to power it off. After that i power it on and it starts like nothing happend, but i cannot acces the bootloader or use the phoenix suit software. Any help please? [link] [comments] |
| Samsung Calendar and Google Calendar Sync Issue Posted: 12 Jan 2021 11:08 AM PST Hi there, I am having some issues with my (Samsung) Calendar. In the past I had a weather calendar that I added for a specific city (using a specific URL). Eventually I changed phone and did a copy from my S9+ to my S10+, then I started to live in a different city and started to use the weather forecast from the calendar itself. For that reason I decided to delete the URL weather calendar in https://calendar.google.com/ however it keeps showing up in my device calendar linked to my Google Calendar when in https://calendar.google.com/ that URL calendar does not exist anymore. What I tried: 1. Clear data AND clear cache from: Google Calendar Sync, Calendar storage, Calendar app, Google Calendar app 2. Remove Google account from device 3. Restart phone 4. Bought new phone, old sim card didn't work, bought new sim card, decided I don't want new phone anymore, and wondering if I need to buy another new sim card for phone I will get next. So just bought a moto g power unlocked from Amazon. First time buying a phone online. Old phone was Samsung j3 emerge from boost mobile. I thought I did thorough research on the topic online beforehand. I wanted to know if I could take the sim card from my j3 and put it into the moto and use it straight away, and most sites said yes, as long as the sim was the same type (nano, micro, etc). But then I tried that and it didn't work. Tried going to boost mobile website to activate/switch it, but the website said the phone was ineligible or something. Did some more googling and saw a few results about how the moto g power needed a special kind of sim that could only be gotten from Sprint stores, which I thought was strange. Either way I went to my boost mobile store and I paid $10 just for the sim, it would've been $40 for activation. They saved me some money and told me to call 611 to activate the phone at home, which... I haven't done yet. I decided I actually don't like the phone and am sending it back to Amazon. But one thing I'm still confused about, and I'm kinda still thinking of calling the number to activate the phone just to see what happens. But, that whole process goes against all what I read online. Every article just kept saying all you needed was to switch sim cards, none mentioned anything about having to call a company to activate it. I'm starting to think the store clerk thought maybe I was a new customer who wasn't associated with boost, some rando who just needed a sim card for their new phone. And also wondering, since I'm planning on sending the moto back, will I need to purchase ANOTHER new sim card for whatever phone I get instead? [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 12 Jan 2021 02:04 AM PST i have a rooted and factory deleted Galaxy S6 edge plus, from which i want to recover specific files. All the "common" software only searches for documents, pictures, messages, contacts etc. as i allready have recovered these. The problem is that i have used a media hider software HD SMTH/Hide something this saves the files in a .pg directory(i dont know here) and also changes the extension into .pg or something similiar(check link). | Is there any other way to fix my issue besides a factory reset? Posted: 12 Jan 2021 10:49 AM PST My Galaxy S10+ is having a reoccurring issue with the data randomly cutting out throughout the day. The data icon says I have 4G but all apps that rely on internet access say I'm disconnected. I've found that a short term way to fix the issue is to simply restart my phone, but I have to do so several times a day (which is especially annoying because I rely on the mobile hotspot function to have internet access at home). This is not the first time I've had this issue. The same thing happened around this time last year, only a few months after I got my phone (new in the box, not used). At the time I decided to do a factory reset to see if that would fix the issue, and it did. Now it's happening again, and from what little info I've been able to scrounge up this is an issue android users have been having for years with no real fix. Some older forums even have posts claiming that this is a function of the android OS, designed to "encourage" people to buy new phones; working sort of like a time bomb that starts ticking down when the phone is first started up In any case, if anyone knows another way to fix this issue besides doing a factory reset again I'd really appreciate your help, a full reset is very time consuming and I'd rather keep it as a last resort. | Alt Mode native monitor resolution? Posted: 12 Jan 2021 06:28 AM PST I want to use my phone as an thin client using SSH. Keyboard and display works, except that my phone (Sony Xperia Z1 II) has a very narrow screen and way to much of the monitor goes unused. Perhaps I would have found it it acceptable with a different phone but this is what I have now so I hope there's some way to scale it. I tried casting but that has the same issue and also has too much latency to work on. | Can't drag up to scroll on some menus Posted: 12 Jan 2021 09:55 AM PST Samsung Galaxy S7, Verizon For instance, in Firefox if I open the tab menu I can't scroll up it just pulls the whole menu up, but I can scroll down just fine. It seems to only happen with menus that can be moved when dragging, so it opts to move it instead of scrolling. No idea why this would be happening. [link] [comments] |

I don't know what happened but suddenly there was no internet connection in some apps like Google Chrome, Opera or in Google play store itself, but other apps like facebook were connected just fine. There was both a wifi sign at the top that says I don't have internet in my wifi and a wifi sign that says I'm connected. After doing a factory reset the problem was solved, but I want to know whether this was an issue with the phone itself that I should replace it for, or was it just something related to the android and software itself that might get fixed through future updates? Thing is, I had a samsung S9+ (15w) previously and it would never charge at its fastest unless it was plugged in to a samsung charger, not even from a 60w aftermarket usb charger that was advertised as QuickCharge 3.0 compatible. Posted: 12 Jan 2021 08:19 AM PST Took a pretty important screen recording within the past two hours on my Pixel 4 XL. The total length was between 5 and 6 minutes, and I know this because that is what the timer said when I clicked to stop the recording. I went to Google Photos to check the recording and the video shows as a grey square. When trying to play it says "Can't play video." I'm able to bring up the menu on that video and it shows 0 B in details located in /storage/emulated/0/Movies/screen-20210112-101211.mp4 Is this lost forever? Any reason that the 5 minute recording would come in empty?? I tested yesterday a number of times and each recording seemed to be successful.
