    Open world, exploration, walking sims?

    Posted: 17 Jan 2021 06:21 AM PST

Looking to just walk around some virtual worlds and enjoy the view. Lockdown means I've got no opportunity to get out into nature or explore new places, but I find exploration games scratch the itch.

I'm not particularly looking for combat or crafting - I just wanna walk around a bunch of different biomes and enjoy the view.

A Short Hike looks like it'd be perfect but obviously that's not android unfortunately - so anything similar like that would be cool.

Something like No Man's Sky would also be amazing - never played it and I know most were disappointed but honestly the main thing I'm looking for is a chance to explore.

    Any recommendations?

Does anyone know the name of this lost submarine game?

    Posted: 17 Jan 2021 07:36 AM PST

I remember playing a submarine game on my tablet and phone a while back, but I don't remember the name. All I need is the name of the game to complete my search.

    1. The general aspect of the game was a sideways shooter kind of like Galaga where you control a submarine and have to shoot oncoming enemies.

    2. Each level had a boss (I only remember the worm that would circle your screen).

    3. You could buy new ships with currency and upgrade your ship. There were powers that had different rarities. The best was "Sublime" and it was purple.

    4. You would play through the levels until you lost your 3 lives, and you could get lives in crates. These crates could also contain the powers too. This was the main source of powers.

The game was also narrated in a few places by a woman.

If you recognize the game by my description please respond with the name, thanks!

Is there a difference between HD+ vs FHD+ in terms of fps when gaming?

    Posted: 17 Jan 2021 06:43 AM PST

Just as the title suggests, I wanna know if changing the phone's resolution affects the performance when gaming.

Does anyone here knows how to play mods on the Half Life Android port?

    Posted: 16 Jan 2021 10:58 PM PST

I've been seeing some mods posted on youtube https://youtu.be/zspfpHE2HLU but I have no idea how to run them. Half Life and Portal are running great tho.

Dev: My new game now in open beta (few levels)

    Posted: 17 Jan 2021 01:53 AM PST

2020 was a rough year. To cope, I threw myself into work in my free time as well. Made Blockhole 2, with a lot of improvements. Released it a few months ago, didn't get many downloads. Try it if you want. Would love criticism.

EndCycle VS: A MegaMan Battle Network inspired roguelike

    Posted: 16 Jan 2021 04:27 PM PST

I found this little gem while exploring the Play Store, and it's stupidly well done. It even has controller support, accommodates for both portrait and landscape and has mod support from the get go.

As the title says, it's a MegaMan Battle Network inspired roguelike, with multiple campaigns and even online. Sadly, not many people seem to know about the it.

It comes with one IAP of 5€ which unlocks the full game.

Sadly I couldn't get into it but I know there are people craving for games like this one, so here you go:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.one2b3.endcycle

Update: Don't let the screenshots deceive you, they look rough and seem to be from an older version. The actual game is a lot more polished.
