Posted: 12 Dec 2020 07:14 AM PST With Youtube TV service, you can add a subscription to Curiosity Stream for $3 per month. Or you could just go to curiositystream.com and subscribe for $15 per year. Then install the app on Chromecast YoutubeTV, sign in with the account you just created. $15 per year instead of $36 per year. [link] [comments]

Music Way Louder Than Other Audio Posted: 12 Dec 2020 01:08 AM PST I just got my TCL - 50" Class 4 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Android TV yesterday. I am watching Netflix on my Xbox with this TV and the music in the shows is way louder than all other audio. I set the Sound Mode setting to Voice and turned on the Auto Volume Control, but music is still way too loud. What other settings could I adjust to either amplify the dialogue volume or decrease the music volume? [link] [comments]

Webcam not found, Humax Aura and Google Duo Posted: 12 Dec 2020 04:21 AM PST OK, as the title says. I have installed Duo on the Aura, which runs Android TV v.9 and enabled the camera and mic in the app. It shows 'camera and mic not found'. Attempts I have made so far are, clear cache and storage for the app; power cycle the Aura; uninstall and reinstall the app. All to no avail. Has anyone else found a way around adding a usb webcam and getting it to work with Google Duo? [link] [comments]

Why don't I see the Dolby Vision icon when watching DV Netflix content on NVIDIA Shield TV? Posted: 12 Dec 2020 05:59 AM PST I have my NVIDIA Shield TV hooked up to my Denon AVR X1600H which is then connected to my LG CX tv. However, I don't see the Dolby Vision icon when watching content that supports it in Netflix. My TV has DV support, my AVR has DV passthrough and according to Nvidia's website, the Shield TV should also support it. Anyone any ideas? EDIT: Connecting the Shield to the TV straight away does work. So I guess there's an issue with my AVR's DV passthrough. Maybe not the correct sub to post this in then, sorry. [link] [comments]
Added storage to Google TV but it still says 1gb available. Posted: 12 Dec 2020 07:25 AM PST I added a 32gb card to it via a USB-C hub. Selected "add as internal storage" but when I go to X-Plorer and look it still shows the device at 1gb available. Not sure what else I need to do? [link] [comments]
Posted: 11 Dec 2020 11:34 PM PST Mine is Panasonic 43" Android TV. On all websites that I visited, after clicking on "Play", the content starts playing with only audio and a black screen which apparently shows nothing to be viewed. Any solutions or suggestions please? Thank you so much in advance. [link] [comments]
Do I miss a lot with another TV OS? Posted: 12 Dec 2020 07:01 AM PST Hello Guys, I wanted to buy the CHIQ U50H7S TV with Android 9.0, but it was not available anymore. So I got myself the HISENSE 50A7100F with VIDAA U3.0. After setting up the TV I was pretty disappointed: No spotify, no twitch, no app for my local tv-channels. Also it seems to be difficult to stream content from my phone to the TV. So do you think it would be worth to refund the TV and buy one with android? Can I install literally any app that is available for android tablets? I also think that the Steam Link app might be very useful and I miss the oppurtunity with a TV without android. Posted: 11 Dec 2020 10:16 AM PST Anyone with the Chromecast with Google TV have a remote finder suggestion? I have a 5 year old that is pretty good about taking care of the remote but the 1.5 year old is not. It's a small remote that is hard to find at times. I have a Tile for my keys but the remote seems to be too small for the Tile Sticker. I love the remote finder feature in the Roku Ultra I have. [link] [comments]
Installing android tv on laptop to run google tv on chromecast Posted: 11 Dec 2020 01:39 PM PST Thinking about getting cyberpunk with chromecast ultra, but I really really like the idea of google tv where it pulls all the content from Hulu and Netflix and hbo and organizes it all into one page, so you can scroll through all of it at once without launching the related app. Went into a rabbit hole trying to figure out how to make it possible. Can I install googletv on top of androidtv onto an old laptop and use it as a server for the CC ultra? Or just googletv by itself on the laptop then stream to tv? [link] [comments]
preloaded Android Tv box question Posted: 11 Dec 2020 04:00 PM PST let me start off by saying, i have a Nvidia Shield with Kodi installed and Venom. the Shield i bought for my son who barely uses it so i installed Kodi on it just for fun. a relative of mine bought one of those cheap Android TV boxes, preprogrammed, named StreamGenie for $300+ he started having buffering issues, im an IT tech, so he called me for help. no matter how much i tried to explain to him that his issue is probably software related, he's been running back and forth to Best Buy spending hundreds on new modems, routers, and upgrading his ISP package to fix the problem. my question is NOT about his device. he wont listen, so i dont care anymore. however, looking in to his issue got me curious as to who is financing these preprogrammed Android boxes? there are a massive amount of them on ebay and online StreamGenie Tickbox TV FreeStream is anyone here familiar with these boxes? best i can find, FreeStream is based out of Texas Tickbox got shutdown and sued for 25 million in 2017 the StreamGenie i cant find any information on outside of resellers i did manage to find the same box on AliExpress and a Chinese supplier that will etch your brand logo on the box is there a forum online or Reddit page dedicated to sellers of these boxes? Can I control it with my Google home? Posted: 11 Dec 2020 02:28 PM PST I recently got a TCL with Android TV. I previously used a 2nd gen Chromecast on my old non-smart tv. With that I could control playback on whatever I was streaming with voice commands to the Google Home. Can I use voice commands through my GH to control Android tv? I assumed it could because it seems simple enough but I'm having trouble. My tv is definitely connected to my GH network with all of my other smart devices. I can control playback and volume on the GH app. As I was playing around trying to solve this I was able to use GH to turn my tv off but could not turn it back on. Once I did so manually I couldn't turn it off again. Later when I asked my speaker to open Youtube on my tv it started playing some random YT video. Am I missing something in the setup or is Android TV just not capable of this kind of control? Thanks [link] [comments] |
