    Hey subreddit! Here is my situation: I tried to stream from my computer to my Chromecast, and had a pro controller connected to my computer in the adjacent room. The lag was making my games not really playable, so I looked around

    My end result is getting a TV or connected device that allows me to use Steamlink.

    I have come to the conclusion that I want to get an Android TV, but I am not sure what is good. I have decided against the Kogan Smart TV based on reviews.

    My budget is around $400, but if it's from Amazon / JB Hi-Fi I have the option to cash out a gift card from my workplace for an additional $200 and can go up by that amount. The TV unit that it would be on is 36.5", so the TV would preferably be able to fit on there, around 36-40" screen size. Also happy to consider a media device like NVIDIA shield if anyone knows any good Black Friday deals!

    I will probably connect this TV via ethernet cable to my modem to decrease lag? Bit of a noob on this stuff.

    Sony Bravia reboot automatically.

    Hello everybody!

    I don't know if somebody has the same problem with it's Sony Bravia, but since the last update in August of 2020, I am experiencing an automatic reboot of my TV. Sometimes I watch YouTube, then the picture freezes and the TV reboots itself. Same as with my PlayStation 4. I did a reset of the TV to the original settings, but the flawed update was still installed afterwards.

    I own a Sony Bravia vh1.

    Is any way to use android rooted smartphone as external microphone for the android tv? I do not want voice search, but constant streaming audio in the background to the TV.

    If you have an air mouse remote, [Vanced](vancedapp.com) works surprisingly well with features such as PIP, ad blocking, double tap (double click) to go forward and access to comments.

    Has anyone been able to install the Chromecast built in app from the new Chromecast with Google TV on another box (let's say a Shield TV)?

    Maybe that could be a way to bring back the speaker group integration for android tv that Google made available last spring...

    Is there a way to make the dynalink android tv work with usb storage? Drives format but are then unusable.

    So I have a usb otg cable and the android tv box sees the usb storage and asks to format it. When I format to external storage it formats and says it is ejected. I never am able to mount the device. When I format for internal storage it formats the drive then says it is unsupported. Is there no way to actually use usb storage drives for this device? I have tried both an otg cable and otg hub as well as a 3amp 5v power supply.

    I've been searching the Black Friday deals for a worthy price/performance replacement for my 55" LeEco Super 4 tv. None of the big tv deals have as good or better rating on ratings.com.

    Adds using Smarttubenext + YT Vanced on the phone

    Hey,

    I am using Smarttubenext on Android TV and on rooted phone YT Vanced. But I am having sometimes short adds. Is any way to remove them without YT premium? I have access to the router if I need to block something, but will not make pihole or another setup.
