Posted: 20 Nov 2020 01:59 PM PST Google really wants you to buy Cyberpunk 2077 on Stadia — so much, in fact, that it's giving away a Stadia Premiere kit to each person who preorders (or who has already preordered) the game on Stadia or buys it after launch until December 17th. The promotion runs "until supplies last," though Google declined to say how many units it will be giving out. The hardware bundle that usually costs $100 includes a white Stadia controller, a Chromecast Ultra, and, for new users, a one-month trial subscription to Stadia's Pro-tier service. Stadia Pro includes 4K streaming and a growing collection of free games similar to Sony's PlayStation Plus and Microsoft's Xbox Live Gold subscription. To redeem the deal, you'll need a Stadia account, though you don't need to be a paid subscriber. Then, head to Cyberpunk 2077's product page and purchase the game. If you have a Stadia Pro subscription, you can save $10 on the game if you haven't already used that promo. TCL Android TV Buffering Help Please Posted: 21 Nov 2020 05:35 AM PST Hey everyone, I couldn't find any answers on Google so I hope I can get some help on here. I recently bought a 65 inch TCL Android Smart TV 4K HDR, etc. Previously, I used a TCL ROKU tv 50 inch. I watch all of my live tv through streaming apps with a TV provider log in. On this new Android tv, almost everything buffers when I'm watching live. For example, ESPN, CBS, FOX, almost everything. To compare, my old 50 inch roku NEVER buffered at all. It worked perfect. All of my others TVs in the house never buffer either. I even have the 65 inch plugged in via Ethernet, and judging by the past I don't believe my internet is the issue, because all of my others TVs work fine. Any ideas on why this new tv buffers so much? Is it trying to play too high of a quality? Is the operating system junk? Can it not handle the streaming apps? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys [link] [comments]

Android TV x86 lets you repurpose your old PC into a media streamer Posted: 21 Nov 2020 08:13 AM PST Android is a very flexible platform, and it can be used on a large variety of devices. Android TV, for example, is a unique flavor of Google's operating system that is specifically modified for TVs and digital media players. The whole Android TV experience differs from regular Android mainly through its interface, which focuses a lot on voice search and content discovery. Imagine having the ability to translate that same experience into desktops and laptops running on Intel (or AMD) processors. That's where Android TV x86 comes in. Created by XDA Senior Member AmznUser444 Dev, Android TV x86 aims to be an easy and convenient way of getting apps, games, and media content on your PC that is hooked up to a big screen. LAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and sound should work out of the box because the ROM has its roots in the Android-x86 project. The initial build is based on Android 9 Pie, and its system requirements mention a 1.2 GHz dual-core 64-bit capable processor with a typical Intel/NVIDIA/AMD GPU having 64MB of video memory. The minimum requirements are reasonably low, so it shouldn't be too tough to revive an old PC with the goodness of Android TV. Here is the list of known bugs at this time:
In addition, due to lacking Widevine L1 certification, don't expect HD video streaming from services like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video. The Google Chromecast with Google TV and other Android TV streaming media devices definitely provide a better media streaming experience, but this is totally free if you already have an unused PC lying around. UFC 255 Live Stream You can download the installer ISO from the official website of this project. Take note that the ROM already has Google apps included, so you don't need to flash a separate ZIP file to get the Google Play Store. The XDA thread is linked below which includes a full list of features, known issues, and all the changelogs. Make sure to check them out before installing the OS on your PC. [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Nov 2020 12:08 PM PST I just picked up a TCL 55 inch Android TV from Best Buy. On the box, they list Disney+ as one of the channels it can stream. The app is already downloaded on my tv but when I click it, it says that it's not compatible with this version. I've checked the updates on the tv and everything is up to date. Anyone have a fix for this? Thanks! [link] [comments]
New ChromeCast with GTV Horrible Local 4k File Playback Posted: 20 Nov 2020 10:38 AM PST I tried to play some 4k movies in Kodi and VLC player from my local network on the new CC and both apps were playing impossibly slowly. The whole interface almost freezes and it plays like a frame every few seconds, with messed up sound. The TV wasn't switching to HDR mode either. Meanwhile, the system built into my Hisense TV was able to stream the same movies just fine, switching to HDR mode with the files that had it. I tried turning off the 'adapt to content' option in the display settings, so that HDR is always on, and that didn't help. Also tried changing the interface resolution to 1080p and still nothing. Any ideas? [link] [comments]
MiBox S randomly refuses to turn on Posted: 20 Nov 2020 10:43 AM PST Anyone else have this issue? Happens every couple weeks and I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to turn on. [link] [comments]
Google TV dropping Wifi connection about once per hour Posted: 20 Nov 2020 11:44 AM PST Hi, my CCwGTV is dropping Wifi about once every hour on average or so. This REALLY sucks while in the middle of a Stadia game most of all... but I have confirmed it is also happening outside of stadia or any app really. I've seen it happen while idle on the menu. Any others encounter this? Any tips? The GTV is about 2 feet from the wifi router on 5ghz [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Nov 2020 11:06 AM PST As the title says, my Chromecast with GTV has a really bad audio sync issue, it happens on Netflix and Disney+ and YouTube, but it works fine on Plex. My WiFi is right side of it so am not sure what could be causing the issue. I always have to pause the video and play again to fix the delay, anyone having that issue? [link] [comments] |
