| Weekly "anything goes" thread! Posted: 06 Nov 2020 04:40 AM PST Here's your chance to talk about whatever! Although if you're thinking about getting feedback on an app, you should wait until tomorrow's App Feedback thread. Remember that while you can talk about any topic, being a jerk is still not allowed. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 05 Nov 2020 11:11 PM PST Hey all! I'm a junior iOS dev that is starting to learn Android Dev due to my workplace wanting me to expand (amazing opportunity, I know!) now, with iOS there's Xcode and nothing else really compares / is a viable option. In Android there's obviously Android studio, but I was wondering if some of you are using something else? Maybe VSCode? Intelij? Looking forward to your opinions and excited to join this community ! | Question about keystrokes on Android device Posted: 05 Nov 2020 08:07 PM PST Hi. I would like to recover some information on my android. I created an email address a while ago, but I forgot the email and password (go figure). Anyway, there is some important information in this email that I need to retrieve but because I don't remember the email address fully I can't use forgot password. What I would like to know is if there is a way to retrieve keystrokes on my android, everything that I've typed around the time I created the account. That way I could find out the email address and then later figure out the password situation. I've tried my history on my browser but I had no success. What do you guys think I could do in this situation ? Thanks. [link] [comments] | ||
| Playstore delays for publishing Posted: 05 Nov 2020 06:44 PM PST What's the average time for new apps to be reviewed and approved recently ? Currently on day 4 and it is still stucked in the "Being reviewed" or "Update in review" stage. It seems like Google even took down the "7 days or more" statement. Shouldn't a giant tech company be the most flexible and efficient industry in times like these? Not to mention it's software, a virtual product. Appstore uploaded mine in 24 hours. This is almost ridiculous. [link] [comments] | ||
| New phones cannot use apps released recently Posted: 05 Nov 2020 05:40 PM PST I just found out the new phones, I checked with version 10, cannot open apps I created recently. And older phone, version 8, had no issues opening same apps. What is weird is some very old apps I made can be opened without issue on both phones. What is causing this. Is this as simple as sdk max level? Minsdk is 16 Targetsdk is 29 Compilesdk is 29 [link] [comments] | ||

| Create a platform with downloadable games, is it possible? Posted: 05 Nov 2020 12:00 PM PST Hi, i already make some simple apk with android studios and currently im working hard on unity3D developing games. I wanted to create a platform, an application, where the user can see a list of available games and choose to download it or unistall it. In unity i already read something about unity assets bundle or addressable, to make it lighter and download the heavy stuff later. But someone says that make this app with unity is bad. Can android studio do that? The idea is to have an apk that watch in a database the list of apk online, and download it and play it inside the activity [link] [comments] |
