    [REQUEST] A casual offline game.

    Posted: 27 Oct 2020 10:21 AM PDT

The game can be a platformer, an endless runner or any of the sort.

Preferably 2D but 3D works as well.

It needs to have good gameplay. I've played tonnes of games which are literally the same game but with different textures.

    Thank you!

Wishful Thinking about the Playstore for New Games

    Posted: 27 Oct 2020 12:11 PM PDT

So I consider myself an avid mobile gamer. I love playing new mobile games. However, I think I love looking for new mobile games just as much as I do actually playing new mobile games.

My wish is that the playstore can sort games not only by category, but also by "release date" chronologically. Currently, there is a filter that you can filter by "new" but that encompasses games that are already 6 months old. Now 6 months may be new to a casual gamer, but to an enthusiast like me 6 months is an eternity when looking for a new mobile game.

Hopefully, the "playstore" can update there filter section. Thanks for listening reddit crew.

    Looking for android gamepad.

    Posted: 27 Oct 2020 09:41 AM PDT

I am interested in a gamepad for my phone, mostly to play emulators, but also to try a steam link and play some couch games like Street Fighter and the likes (gotta admit I'm curious about how well it works, and whether I can play from the bathroom).

I want one that has the sticks at the same height*, is comfortable to use, and portable**.

    • When I say at the same height, I mean unlike Xbox controllers with left stick up, Dpad down, but right stick down, buttons up. I have no preference about sticks being up or down, but please by symmetrical (i.e. thumbs in the same position for both). Same goes for the buttons.
    • When I say portable, I mean no independent gamepads with extra clips, or super bulky gamepads that can't fit the pocket of a bomber jacket.

These are the options I've checked:

    1. GLAP: I bought this in the past, but it had a factory issue, one of the sticks was permanently moving up, so I returned it. The sticks and buttons were OK, but the bumper buttons were uncomfortable. The 90 degree turn feels bad.
    2. Playstation DS4: As said before, this thing is uncomfortable to use and requires a clip as well. The gamepad is cool and all, and I have it here lying around, but doesn't work for me.
    3. Xbox gamepad: Tried to make it work, the asymmetric sticks made it uncomfortable to me, as well as the same issues with the DS4 above.
    4. Ipega 15 euros controller: Was my very first gamepad, it wasn't good, period.

I've noticed there are some controllers out there, after a long research I found 2 razer gamepads as well as one called Gamevice. From Razer, I've had some problems in the past... but I might be willing to give them a second chance. About Gamevice, I can only find iPhone versions, so any information would be helpful.

I live in the EU if that's relevant.

    thanks in advance.

Is there difference between Bluetooth controllers and usb ones?

    Posted: 27 Oct 2020 12:38 PM PDT

I read a comment that some games don't work with usb controllers (they mentioned terraria and COD). I planned to get an otg cable to pair with my Xbox 360 controller to play COD and Minecraft. Why can't I play COD with usb controller? Is there a way to overcome this?

Looking for hero collector that uses a good chunk of the roster at all levels, and no JRPG gameplay.

    Posted: 27 Oct 2020 11:55 AM PDT

I enjoy dumping a little money in to games if it isn't a pure lottery like some gacha games, and if my p2w can help me boost a lower-strength guild.

As part of getting my money's worth, I enjoy having a large chunk of the roster stay relevant. Unlike many games where you just pull some high tier troops and ignore everything else. Daily and weekly events are nice for this.

Looking for guild mechanics or events that let us work together, and might encourage having a Discord. I don't like guilds where the only interaction is requesting and donating shards of heros.

And I love, love non-standard gameplay. I don't care for most turn-based JRPG games, which usually includes "tactics" style games. And most diablo-style games are not fun for me since they are short levels without actual exploration. Especially love puzzle based games. Gems of War, Lightslingers, Battle Bouncers, Gunspell 2.

My main game is Gems of War. I've been looking for a second but haven't fully committed to one yet. Loved Solgard until they introduced an Auto button. Hyper Heroes was too gacha and became less and less puzzley. Gunspell 2 didn't have guilds and turns were timed even in PvE. I played Marvel Puzzle Quest for a long time, but they were getting far too greedy.

Basically, I guess you could say I enjoy buying friends lol.

I've got 6 bucks in the Play Store. Recommendations?

    Posted: 27 Oct 2020 04:21 AM PDT

I've been playing a lot of Idle Slayer, Darkzone, Soul Knight, Downwell, and until it was removed recently Soulite Monsters. I'm open to a handful of genres but would like some titles I may not have heard of before. I enjoyed the original Pen & Paper game, the 2nd one stopped me from getting more though unless their business model changed and the writing got better. Thanks!

What do you enjoy about mobile gaming?

    Posted: 26 Oct 2020 11:56 PM PDT

I own a PC, PS4, and a Nintendo Switch, but I find myself playing mobile games more often than any of my other platforms. Personally, I think this is just out of pure convenience; I'm always on my phone, and I enjoy playing games in "bursts", and I find mobile games to be the best for this. I also like that most mobile games are free, so I can try a bunch of different games out, and not feel like I really wasted any money.

    [REQUEST] Multiplayer Horror Games

    Posted: 27 Oct 2020 02:17 AM PDT

Me and my friends are tired of fps and moba games so we searched for multipllayer horror games we could play online. We already tried Identity V and Granny's House but we would love to play something scarier (Dead by Daylight is large for my phone). When I try searching for others, only offline/single players horror games appear. If someone has suggestions, I would love to check it out.

    Quality game recommendations

    Posted: 26 Oct 2020 06:19 PM PDT

I've searched for games for a while, and the only ones I've actually liked are Toram Online and Kick flight. Can anyone recommend games of any type that you consider outstandingly good for mobile? Please no shooters or mobas, that's the only rule.

I just released my first mobile game: Biden Vs Trump. It's designed to be a challenging platformer (like geometry dash or mr jump), where you play as Biden or Trump and compete against others. It's free and has no annoying banner ads! I programmed it mostly in the back of class. Please check it out!
