    Chromecast built-in when TV is off

    Good morning all

    So I have a new Android TV from TCL (model 40ES560) and I can't make the chromecast built-in work when the TV is off.

    I want it to behave as my standalone Chromecast: always on and, whenever I cast something, the TV is turned on. However, this doesn't work in Android TV it seems.

    I enabled fast startup and standby networking in settings, but no luck. The TV is connected using an Ethernet cable, not Wifi, and the lights in the switch are steady lit, but no luck in finding it in Fing or nmap, so I guess if this is more an issue in the TCL software.

    Smart Youtube TV app lower quality than the official app?

    I just tried the Smart Youtube TV app and tested it with the Morocco in 8K video. I noticed that even though it's playing at 4K 60 fps VP9 on the best bitrate possible, the image is a bit softer than in the official app. There are also signs of tearing and weird artefacts in some edges. They are barely visible, but I definitely noticed the difference in sharpness. I did A/B testing with the same scene switching back and forth quickly. Has anyone else noticed the same? I have a Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 btw.

    How to download files onto android box??

    I've made the move to android and loving it so far.

    Just one thing..

    How do i download files e.g mp4 to the box and play it without using a pc? Any browsers that download straight onto the box?

    Trying to setup a media sever

    Hello, I'm trying to find a android tv box to use at a media server with my external hard drives

    . I have already tired one box the T95 turewell and that didn't go so well. So if anyone has any suggestions on a box that would work out I would really appreciate it.

    Note: this device will never be used to stream from any sight like Netflix, Hulu or Disney + so that is not a factor.

    Hola soy de Argentina quería comentar mi experiencia ya que no hay mucha información. Amazon Prime Video funciona muy mal, los subtítulos se atrasan cada vez que se utiliza, así que si te la compras para ver Prime video, no se lo recomiendo. Netflix anda bien. El Chromecast incluido que tiene no funciona tan bien como el Chromecast original. El resto regular, no es el aparato más fluido del mundo pero cumple. Mi consejo es que vayan por una Mi box S, o esperen a la proxima version del stick.
