Posted: 22 Sep 2020 06:54 AM PDT I'm still fairly new to all things Android, and just got introduced to Retro Arch and loving it. I got all excited hearing I could pair the switch pro controller to the phone for a better gaming experience, but it is really slow and laggish in response to the game. Any idea or suggestions on improving the controller performance, maybe a setting I'm overlooking? I'm out of ideas now. Thanks gang! [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 22 Sep 2020 12:10 PM PDT Finally got the update to 11 today, but since installing I've had constant issues. All apps seem to crash constantly, anything playing music or video freezes and starts again every 5 seconds, even pressing volume up/down halts everything for a few seconds. Tried a factory reset, reinstalled a few apps to no avail. Chatted with support too, they suggested it's a hardware issue, which I find hard to believe. Anyone experiencing similar? | Phone keeps waking up every 60 seconds Posted: 22 Sep 2020 11:46 AM PDT My phone keeps waking up every 60 seconds or so.. it shows my lock screen and if it sees my face it then unlocks.. it'll then timeout after 2 mins and will keep repeating.. It's the first Android phone I've owned in quite some time (had an iPhone before that). I just received a notification that the Macy's shopping app was downloaded on my phone which I did not download. I was not even shopping on Macy's at the time so I haven't the slightest idea how it was downloaded. Should I be concerned? Is this a red flag that someone has hacked my phone or something? I made sure my account did not appear in the signed in accounts of my gf's Pixel 4XL. Still for some reason, every time I log into my Google account, my gf keeps getting "verify your sign in" messages. I looked at my devices within my Google account and found this. I have a Zenfone Max pro M1 and I've been trying to set TWRP on it, the problem is that once I flash it with fastboot and reboot, it won't go into recovery mode, it just goes back to fastboot. If I let it just boot normally my phone unfortunately just replaces it automatically so I need to get into recovery mode as soon as it reboots for the first time, if I let it replace it and reboot again I'm able to go to the stock recovery mode normally, it's just after flashing the img that it won't work. I googled a little bit and didn't manage to find anyone with this particular problem. Anyone knows what I might be doing wrong? My bootloader is unlocked, btw. Edit: nevermind, I'm dumb. | Two Googles in Chrome site settings. Posted: 22 Sep 2020 06:31 AM PDT In my Chrome site settings, there seem to be two Googles, one is www.google.com and the other one is https://www.google.com. The data for www.google.com clears but for the https one it does not. I press clear and reset but nothing happens. It's the only site for which data cannot be cleared, even with all tabs (Google homepage too) closed. The permissions also seem to be a little different for each one of them. For example, the https one has permissions for sound, location access and notifications. Is this a bug or something else? [link] [comments] |

| I'm having trouble with applying a third-party theme Posted: 22 Sep 2020 06:20 AM PDT I'm using an s20, and want to use Hex to apply the Day/Night theme, but it doesn't work. I did get hex pro, as the plugin said. Here is what happens when I try: 1st, I pick tje Day/Night theme or deluxe version 2nd, I hit build and Install, and Hex does its thing 3rd, As Hex says, I apply High Contrast ll The result doesn't have the effect shown on the advertisement for the day/night theme. It has the quick-toggle icons and all of that, but not the split quick menu, setting menu and all of the stuff you get that theme for. (I am running android 10) [link] [comments] |

Posted: 22 Sep 2020 09:29 AM PDT I have only a handful of apps and only 20 mp3 songs and a few PDF books on my Android 10 smartphone yet it keeps on saying "Running out of storage space". I am looking for an user-friendly app that will analyse the storage and enable me to delete files. I have a 32GB internal memory and a 32GB external SD card. The internal is always like 98% filled and the SD only 7%. I have tried using Android's storage analyser (that pops up) as well as DiskUsage but Androids' storage analyser aggregates everything as Other and does not let you delete files one by one. DiskUsage is not userfriendly at all and does not allow you to delete files either. Any other suggestions free app suggestion? [link] [comments] |

I decided to do the update, now when I go to download files from Discord, I get no notification at all, but then after 10 minutes it'll tell me it failed. Also, I went to sign in on some new apps using the Fingerprint/Code verification method. Nope. It says Google can't be reached and I need to sign in an alternate way. When I had 10, I literally did the Bio sign in the day before to sign in for Door Dash. So, it seems that all the issues I've seen so far have all occurred since the update so it's most likely not the apps specifically. Are there other instances of this and is it possible to roll back to Android 10 so I can do basic functions again like downloading files and signing in to apps? [link] [comments] |
