Posted: 12 Sep 2020 09:08 AM PDT Hi, recently I've been having a recurring issue with the Reddit app on Andriod: Whenever I scroll, If I happen to unmute the audio and watch a video, later on the audio will autoplay on other videos when scrolling and I find it extremely annoying (especially if there are others around). I don't even want to browse until I can fix it. I went to my settings and selected for videos not to autoplay and then a Top Broadcast was playing and the audio autoplayed. Posted: 12 Sep 2020 12:36 PM PDT I was on android 9 for two or three days ago, and i just updated to android 10 (one ui version 2.0), i got happy about the new improvements that my phone got, but it started to have some problems. For example, my battery started to drain and heat faster, at least as fast that made me notice it. - whenever I changed window sometimes the animation lagged. - my camera image qualities got reduce. If someone knows what is happening or this happened to him, please tell me. And another thing, if the problem is from the update, (which I'm 60% sure because i downloaded nothing this week before and after the update if you think it's because of the apps.) | How do I fix my broken fingerprint sensor on my lgv35? Posted: 12 Sep 2020 12:04 PM PDT it keeps saying something like "cant read fingerprint, try restarting or contacting customer support". I restart and it doesn't fix, so I go into fingerprint settings and it wont even open the settings, it just says "cant read fingerprint, contact customer support". I figure it could be because I had a habit at work of trying to unlock my phone with my dirty glove and maybe the dirt got lodged into it somehow but man that jerryrig guy cuts sensors up with a blade and they still work, idk how mine is so sensitive. I did wash it with a warm damp qtip and it fixed the issue once or twice but it keeps recurring and now it seems to not be going away. Inb4 "contact customer support", its LG, I don't have high hopes. also this is a secondary question so feel free to ignore it, but why does duckduckgo disappear from my home screen when I restart my phone? I always have to go into my app drawer and bring it back up. [link] [comments] |

| "Account Action Required" notification won't stay gone Posted: 12 Sep 2020 11:14 AM PDT I looked up a bunch of stuff for it and found that removing the account will get rid of the notification for a bit but if I add the account again then the notification will come back. Actually tapping the notification doesn't even do anything either, it just brings up a loading page for a split second then returns to the last page on my phone. It's a school account and even though I just graduated I still get important emails on occasion so I would like to keep it but this notification is driving me insane. [link] [comments] |

But my father bought some phone off of eBay for like $90. But what he got in the ail was not as advertised, I mean, waddya think you're gonna get for that money. Anyways, I would like to install a different build of android on this because the seller on eBay has MYSTERIOUSLY disappeared, so no returns. Posted: 12 Sep 2020 11:00 AM PDT Does a phone really need a compass to enhance maps? my current phone has one, but i'm thinking about upgrading to one that doesn't. i use google maps a lot, mainly for directions in the city, and the arrow flips around everywhere and is never accurate to begin with. So i wonder if i should even worry about it.. has anyone used a phone without a compass for directions recently and can compare? my only fear is if it will do a good enough job understanding which way i'm walking once i get going. the last time i had one that didn't (flip phone) i was a teen so i didn't really leave my neighborhood much. | iOS to Android - notification issue Posted: 12 Sep 2020 02:50 AM PDT I made the jump from iOS to Android. Love the Note Ultra 20. But one thing that is annoying is the notifications. On iOS. You get it right away. With Android this doesn't always happen. I wake up in the morning pick my phone up then for about 5 minutes it's notification after notification. Anyway, I don't really like the themes in stock themes app or themes manager (or something like that, I don't remember the exact name of that app). I found some themes online but when I applied them (I use dark mode), they didn't look great. I'm looking for something with nice icons (I'd like to make it look more stock android) and also something that supports dark mode, because many of those themes were weird when using a dark mode - e.g. in files/themes app some spaces were white and others black... | Is OLED burn in as bad as AMOLED burn in? What about LCD? Posted: 12 Sep 2020 08:43 AM PDT I've had AMOLED once... The screen burned real bad, after just a few months, like if the screen was white, you could see the keyboard and like, YouTube controls ghosted in just as clear as day. Samsung replaced my screen for free, but it burned in again within a matter of months. I never used it at 100%, either time, although I tend to close like 80something. for the second round, I used adaptive brightness and put everything on dark mode, but I still had burning that you could see the keyboard and YouTube controls. I want to be able to use the screen as bright as possible - not like, 100% , but bright, and easy to read all the time. It was so frustrating to pay so much for that Note 8, having been told just how amazing the screen is, and then after it burnt, all they could tell me was that I was using it wrong. One tech guy even told me that I should never have it above 50% brightness. Always have adaptive on, use dark mode for everything don't use YouTube so much etc etc. Like what the fuck did I pay so much for the phone for? because I was told it was going to be a big huge beautiful bright AMOLED screen with perfect blacks and bright colors. Then the first thing I'm told is to turn the fucking thing down? Anyways, that clearly brought out some unresolved anger inside me that I'll need to think about at length later, but what my real question is is what's the difference between AMOLED and OLED when it comes to screen burn? I'm looking at the Pixel 4A and it has an OLED screen, but I'm kind of afraid to get it. the other phones that I've looked at have LCD screens, and I don't know if those burn in at all? I'm not allowing it to use background data, all of it's consumption comes from foreground data. No idea what it's doing tho. Updates and photo backup are allowed only on wifi. Apps like maps, podcasts, play, gmail etc. are listed separately so its not it. Any idea what is going on with it, and how can I stop it? [link] [comments] |

I tried going through and deleting recent apps I got but it hasn't solved the problem. Today I checked battery usage and found that an app called "10259" is using up 80% of my battery, but I can't find it anywhere to delete it, and it doesn't allow me to force stop or disable it from the battery optimisation screen. Posted: 11 Sep 2020 10:51 PM PDT I've tried looking this up on Google, and all the articles I've found were outdated, and even the least out of date ones I found (from 2019) still contains outdated information and now-defunct apps, not to mention recommending apps with shady, to say the least, behavior and bad user reviews. But I am sad and confused, cause I used to put my finger over the flashlight to limit it's brightness, but now it burns my finger quite a lot. I have the OnePlus 5T if that matters. I hope this is the right subreddit A feature that is a must have for me: It needs to be able to share a Wi-Fi Network to other devices (not using cellular data!!/rooting (?) English is my second language so I hope I express myelf clearly). And I do want it to be a built in feature and not via an app. Can you tell me what specs I need to look for in an android phone that allow me to do that?
