I have a Motorola Edge in hand, ask me almost anything.

Just received my Moto Edge today in the mail. Ask me anything!

For reference, the phones I've had up til this one Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XZ3, LG V50 ThinQ, and now the Motorola Edge.

    Initial Impressions

    1. Display - The display is not as nice in my opinion as the LG V50 or the XZ3. You can adjust the display colors as either "Natural", "Boosted", or "Saturated". Natural is incredibly bland, while boosted and saturated give it more that "OLED" pop. Compared to the natural setting on the XZ3 and the V50 it leaves something to be desired. The 90hz is truly beautiful coming from 60hz screens. The black crush isn't nearly as bad as other OLED panels which is nice.
    2. Finger Print Sensor - Works with a plastic screen protector and works pretty quickly actually! No issues here.
    3. Calls - Supports Wi-Fi calling on T-Mobile on Straight Talk using an MVNO which is interesting. I believe it also supports VoLTE but I'll have to confirm that later. It does not support VoLTE.
    4. Headphone Jack - It works. Not as good as the QUAD DAC on the V50 of course, but hey it's there! It sounds pretty good on my Audeze EL-8's but I'll have to try it on some high independence headphones.
    5. Speakers - Holy moley they are definitely loud and sound very clear. Bass isn't necessarily there but hey they're smartphone speakers. Sound much better than the stereo setup on the V50 and the XZ3.
    6. Software - No glitches, hang ups, or stuttering or lag. There is some weird issues with the google keyboard and this giant grey spot showing up under it instead of black on the dark theme.
    7. FF-Camera - Works well in Whatsapp for video calls. No issues from my friend who lives in Switzerland on his end.
    8. Rear Camera - I haven't really used this much but I'll try to play around with them a little bit.
    9. Built-In notification sounds - They're terrible honestly.
    10. Side buttons - The volume rocker is super duper slim and it makes it kinda hard to use honestly or to feel it.
    11. Included case - It's a pretty ok case. The headphone jack cutout could be bigger but it protects the back.

If you have any other questions or want me to try things let me know. It popped up with 5G on Straight Talk which seems odd since I didn't think they had 5G enabled.
