| I need to reset phone for data to work Posted: 12 Nov 2019 05:14 AM PST As title says, i need to reset my phone over and over to get any data. I get (in areas that have 4g) full 4g coverage for about 1-5 mins after a restart then it slows to a trickle. I have a galaxy a5. Is there any setting for a cache to clear more often maybe? | System data taking up 51gb?? Please help. Posted: 12 Nov 2019 08:40 AM PST My 64gb Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has had the recent problem of constantly filling up on internal storage, making it almost impossible to use. I've done everything I could. 80% of my media is on my sd card, I've deleted all unnecessary apps, cleared all my caches, everything. These last ditch efforts may temporarily give me ~1gb, but by the end of the day I will get error messages again and have no free space I downloaded "Diskusage" and found out that apparently "System data" was taking up a whopping 51gb. I looked it up all over forums and on no post did I see someone complain about their system data taking up THAT much space. Is there an easy way to take care of this or clean some of it? I'd like to avoid factory resetting if possible, also I'm afraid it will just fill up again. [link] [comments] |
Samsung Galaxy S7 - Weird transparent box keeps appearing on my screen Posted: 12 Nov 2019 05:05 AM PST This is getting to be a frustrating problem. A week or so back a weird transparent box started appearing on my phones screen. It takes up about an 8th of the screen. I keep having to turn my screen off and on to get it to go away. Today, the box lingered a little after I did it a few times and it looked like it was fighting to come back as it was flickering behind the text a little. I've not installed any new aps, the phone is up to date and it doesn't happen all the time, but it's happening more often a week or so later. I haven't dropped my phone either. It is 3/4 years old now. I also had a weird issue the other day with my SD card randomly not been seen by my phone. It was working fine, then it was just gone. Took me a couple of tries of taking it in and out to get it working again. There was nothing wrong with the card, it was the phone. The card works fine in my friends phone and my PC, I ran a check and there's no corruption. If I do need a new phone, any suggestions on a phone just as powerful with a better camera that's not overly expensive? I don't want the S9 after all the restarting and crashing issues my boyfriend has with his and a mobile game with both play (Marvel Strike Force). The S10 is out of my price range right now and I don't mind owning a phone that's a generation or two behind. No iPhones, since I want an SD card slot. [link] [comments]
Riddle me this droiders and droidettes? Posted: 12 Nov 2019 08:12 AM PST My father, bless his heart, seems to think 5g service will be better i told him since we live in the middle of now where the service will still suck so the qanderable question being will 5g still have dead spots and or shitty service in some areas even with 5g cell service? With respect this is what happened long ago we argued about 3g flip phones to 4g touch screen phones switch, went from 3 bars of 3g to 1 bar of 4g lol good times. [link] [comments]
Best dark theme email clients (free) ? Posted: 12 Nov 2019 12:00 PM PST I can;t believe gmail hasn't released a dark mode yet. So, does anyone know of a good email client that has a dark mode ? That is free. Thank you. [link] [comments]
Any way to change white bars at top and bottom of web page to dark ? Posted: 12 Nov 2019 11:53 AM PST I would like to make these white bars dark or black. Is it possible ? Thanks. [link] [comments]
Anyone have separate SMS strings from same sender? Posted: 12 Nov 2019 11:45 AM PST It's actually Chase Bank. I have them in the same contact as the two numbers that Chase delivers their SMS. e.g. The two messages come from 24273 and 242733. I have both these listed, one as work and one as mobile for Chase (again, in the same contact) , but every time, when they send a text, they're different strings. Does the same thing in messages, textra, and yaata, so it's definitely something I have set wrong, but can't figure it out. Any ideas? [link] [comments]
| My OnePlus deleted a bunch of app data(?) Posted: 12 Nov 2019 07:39 AM PST Hello there. I have a OnePlus 3T and its been working fine, albeit a bit slow for the last while, and never had any issues with it. Today it ran out of power and when I hooked it up to a charger and turned it on, it took it like 10 minutes to turn on. When I got it started up the background was set to default and all the folders were gone. All apps are still installed, it's just the folders and seemingly the login information thats gone (i.e. Messenger/Discord asking me to log in again, like its the first time I'm using it). All pictures and stuff are still there, but my biggest problem is that the Google Authenticator has also reset - trying to add my Google account to it again went fine, but I was hoping everything else I had hooked up would be there, which it isn't... I'm not sure there's anything I can do about this, but maybe someone knows something or knows what may have caused it, so I can avoid it happening again? Would be thankful for any feedback Thanks in advance P.S. I just turned my phone on like normal and left it on the table to turn on - didn't hold the power button for longer than usual. | Posted: 12 Nov 2019 11:15 AM PST I have a note 8 on Android 9 one UI. I've dealt with this issue for a while and recently I wanted to try to solve it. So I use the Google messages app. When I get a message and I go into the app, reply and close the app, I see the same notification with what I wrote in response to the message I received. This kinda bugs me because I want the notification to disappear after I read the text. Also if I go into the app and view the new text and exit, the notification remains in the notification center. This is kind of irritating. Thanks for any help or suggestions. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Nov 2019 10:23 AM PST Pocophone F1 on MIUI 11 I updated MIUI to v11 and since the update a pop-up reminder from a medicine-tracking app (MediSafe) no longer works. I still get the notification, the phone vibrates, it emits the sound, but it no longer pops up on the screen. I'd like to have this feature back, if possible. Does anyone knows how to re-enable it on MIUI? Can it be re-enabled? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
Samsung A7 restarting same time every week Posted: 12 Nov 2019 10:22 AM PST Every week at 18:16 on a tuesday my phone restarts. It's a samsung A7 2018 and has no battery problems. It restarted today at 61% and turned on the same. I have no idea why this happens. Help? [link] [comments]
Ever since my V30 updated to Android 10 some of my notifications appear garbled Posted: 12 Nov 2019 10:16 AM PST Screenshot here. This is happening for notifications from both gmail and outlook. Can't find anything about this through google. Is there a fix for this? [link] [comments]
Camera roll issue on Android Pie Posted: 12 Nov 2019 10:16 AM PST I have an third party phone (Umidigi F1) that runs on Android 9. I use AT&T. I've noticed that oftentimes when I access my camera roll to share a photo on nearly any app - including simple texting/SMS - I'll see umteen repeat images of either images that I know are in my camera roll or images that I've previously deleted. Sometimes it takes a lot of time to scroll down to the image I'm looking for - which shouldn't be that far down in my camera roll. Sometimes I'll pick the "wrong" image from the ones that show up multiple times and the resolution will be god awful. I've looked everywhere I can think of to find where these duplicate images are coming from and can't find shit. Anyone able to give me other ideas of where to look? Or anyone experience a similar issue? Also let me know if any further information is needed. [link] [comments]
I'm looking for a magnetic charging adapter for the LG G8X (apologies if wrong subreddit) Posted: 12 Nov 2019 10:09 AM PST I recently bought the LG G8X and I've been loving it, but the one little annoyance is it uses a magnetic charging adapter when it's in use with the dual screen case in order to charge it. Having to carry this between multiple places of use for my phone is becoming a headache - when I would much rather leave those pieces connected to the cables I have at said places - and I was wondering if anyone knew of anything similar that I could buy off Amazon or something? LG currently isn't selling their own brand of these based on their own support answers so I can't buy directly from them like I had originally thought/planned. https://www.lg.com/us/mobile-accessories/lg-ebx64129401aetc-lg-dual-screen-charging-adapter I've attached a link of what the charging adapter looks like on LGs website since it shows the close up of it. I would assume any 5 prong magnetic charging adapter would work, but I want to be 100% sure that assumption is correct. I tried looking around and really didn't find anything that matched it's shape, some close, but I'm still just curious if anyone else could help me out. [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Nov 2019 09:43 AM PST I got a question, I cracked my stylo 4 screen and want to replace the whole thing, about how much is the cheapest I can do it for? Any input will be appreciated. [link] [comments]
Get hacked by replying to or receiving weird SMS messages? Posted: 12 Nov 2019 03:37 AM PST Hi, I really hope that this subreddit is the right one to post this, I'm not really sure where to post it. (Let me know if it isn't and where I could post instead) So on to my question ... I have received a REALLY weird SMS a little while ago that isn't just weird because it talks about "insurance inspecting 'my apartment' tomorrow" (with specific time) but is also from a Spanish number (I lived there before and am on visit there now) which wrote to my Swedish number. That cannot be. Not even for it to be the wrong number. The first thing I wondered about was how on earth a Spanish number would find NOT my Spanish but my SWEDISH number. It makes no sense whatsoever. So now my question is: could this be some shady stuff? Would answering it start up some command that gives them access to my phone or something? I have the latest version of Android. Thanks a ton in advance! I have opened the message but not replied. [link] [comments]
my zte blade zmax flashlight is blue Posted: 12 Nov 2019 08:15 AM PST after getting my power ribbon repaired,i noticed the flashlight next to the dual camera lens are slightly darker and blue like uv lights.why is that? [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Nov 2019 07:48 AM PST So my Blu G9 pro was duplicating photos and when I'd go to send a picture to someone on say, instagram, discord, or even texting, I'd have to scroll through duplicate files of most of my pics. Some of them even had up to 4 duplicates. I assumed it was my .thumbnails folder which I cannot access via Google photos so I installed a third party gallery app and deleted all the duplicate files in my .thumbnails folder and when I went back to Instagram or discord to send a Pic the duplicates were still there but they're just blank squares now. Anyone know how to fix this? [link] [comments]
Chrome keeps re-enabling itself Posted: 12 Nov 2019 06:28 AM PST I keep disabling Chrome, but it keeps re-enabling itself without any input from me. I don't know why this happens, but I think it's related to automatic updates. I have a Motorola moto g(7) play with Android 9. Has anyone else had this problem and can someone suggest ways to find out more? [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Nov 2019 05:47 AM PST Home address and zip code are highly sensitive information and I don't want to give them to google blindly, does anyone know the reason why they require such personal stuff? [link] [comments]
