[DEV] Shameless self-promotion: just published my game "Constellation" on Play Store and wanted to share!

    Posted: 14 Nov 2019 02:43 AM PST

Hey! So as someone who wishes someday to work on game industry, I made this little Android game called "Constellation"!

So the idea is that you "draw" constellations by moving four points to different positions and this Star Serpent -thing moves through them -> you kinda make a path for the Serpent with these constellations. In the middle of the screen there is your Home Star and you must protect it from the approaching more colorful stars, by making the Star Serpent crash into them.

Did that make any sense at all? @_@ No matter, here's the link:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Juhvelo.Constellation

Feedback would be appreciated and of course some new ideas! Thanks!

Looking for an addictive online long-term game.

    Posted: 14 Nov 2019 11:07 AM PST

Well the title. I don't really care what kind of game it is. But I prefer Adventure, Action, Strategy, RPG. I definitely need an online game. Otherwise it gets boring by time.

I'm currently playing Polytopia. But it's not super addictive. And the online part of it is weak.

    Any suggestions?

If I loved Mini Metro I should definitely play...

    ... Insert recommendations here.

As added context, I loved the surprising depth that the game has, as well as the "building something" sense of accomplishment.

Any legitimately GOOD S Pen games around?

    Posted: 14 Nov 2019 03:54 AM PST

Would be cool to actually have something to use the spen for, but not like, a generic piece of crap developed by Samsung to encourage users to use the pen but after the first try you never go back.

    [REQUEST] Japanese(?) Side-scrolling defense game

    Posted: 14 Nov 2019 07:45 AM PST

Hello! I'm looking for a game I played a couple years ago. Due to the limit of Play Store's archives I can't find it through there and I can't search for it that well since it had a japanese/chinese etc. title.

    • side scrolling defense
    • poorly translated
    • at least 100 stages
    • story about a kingdom and a goddess
    • 5 playable heroes (Kai and Raphael are the names I'm able to remember...)
    • gear system

I fear it has been taken down from the Play Store... any ideas?

Edit: I believe some time after I played it it got re-released with an english title, but I'm not sure what it was. Maybe something with "Kingdom"

Any other online games that I can play with my girlfriend?

    Posted: 13 Nov 2019 03:52 PM PST

We've been playing Ulala: Idle Adventure for the past month or so and it's starting to get boring especially now that we've reached our f2p barrier (Gen 4 99%). We're looking for similar games where we can team up together. Preferably not clash-of-clans style games nor MOBAs nor FPS.

    So far we've played:

    • Ulala: Idle Adventure

    • Minecraft: PE

    • Terraria

    • Soul Knight

    • Brawl Stars

Looking for games that reward exercise

    Posted: 13 Nov 2019 03:49 PM PST

Like the title says, looking for games (or apps that are like games) that reward exercise. I've had a lot of fun using that feature in pokemon go, so I'm always trying to find other things that are similar to it.

So far, besides pokemon go, I've used hero trainer (level up, earn points to put towards in game items based on steps), zombie run (I think there's a similar sci fi game too...) as well as some other virtual planner style apps that allow you to assign xp/stat values to the task you're doing... But that's about it 🤷‍♂️ if you know of anything else, please share!

    When Bejeweled Classic became pay-to-win?

    Posted: 14 Nov 2019 01:14 AM PST

When Bejeweled Classic launched, the only IAP was a ~3€ purchase to remove ads. The game also later locked the timed 60-second mode "lightning" behind a payment. Leaderboards are of course now forever compromised and even if you only play solo, the "powergem" and "scramble" features are always displayed on screen (since some can be earned by playing, I've used these accidentally).

apkmirror.com has some early versions. I would archive the latest build without the Blitz-esque items with pleasure.

To the game's credit, Classic is now feature-complete with Bejeweled 3 aside from the lacking "quest" mode ("poker", "lightning" and "butterflies" require a purchase).
