New mom looking for games in portrait mode that can be stopped anytime

    Posted: 06 Jun 2022 03:10 PM PDT

Like the title says, I'm a new mom and I'd love to find a game that's portrait mode and can be stopped at anytime to play while baby is sleeping on me. I love pretty much any genre other than card building deck games. Thanks!

Inkman - A minimalist side scroller for your android phone. (free, no ads)

    Posted: 06 Jun 2022 07:29 PM PDT

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.onethousandtwopixels.inkman

Inkman is a simple puzzle / side scroller that takes place in the future. Run, jump and climb through dozens of levels, evading aliens to find the exit in each level. Plays in portrait mode and works best with phones and small tablets. Controller has a D-pad and two buttons for jump and grab.

This is my first game on Google Play store. I released it back in 2020, but just recently added an on-screen controller. I had used gesture controls previously, but got mixed reviews from people who tried it. The game is 100% free, no ads or purchases and doesn't require any permissions.

If you like platform games, give it a try and tell me what you think!

[REQUEST] Political/Country-leading simulator where you engage in diplomacy and war with other nations

    Posted: 06 Jun 2022 05:22 PM PDT

Title. I'd prefer if it is: 1. Free 2. And not a shitty retextured and translated game with 37 identical games made by the same developer.

I have tried Polytopia, Civ, Unciv, games by Bytro, Politicsandwar, NationStates.

    Thank you.

    Cross-progression with PC

    Posted: 06 Jun 2022 01:09 PM PDT

Hi! could you guys recommend games that have cross-progression/cross-save with PC? I already know of hearthstone (and the other card games), diablo immortal, eternium, genshin impact. Do you guys have any other recommendations?

I have a $10 balance that is expiring soon. Could a kind soul give me a list of ideas?

    Posted: 06 Jun 2022 03:51 PM PDT

I've earned my balance slowly with Google surveys. I've already purchased Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Don't Starve and the Backdrops app (wallpapers). I'm open to games or other useful paid apps. Any ideas? I know about Terraria but it's never been a favorite.

I play Wild Rift but $10 only buys basically 1 good skin. I'd rather get a game or app that I can get big value out of.

I play RPGs on PC like Subnautica, Dark Souls, Witcher, Elder Scrolls, Fallout and more, and shooters like Gears of War.

help? Too much heat when playing genshin, even at lowest graphics.

    Posted: 06 Jun 2022 06:15 AM PDT

It wasn't like this before, in the last couple of months (2-3) my phone can't handle genshin anymore. I have cut down on installed games, other background running apps. That didn't work... Before, i used to play at like much higher setting than recommend. Now even the lowest of low, turning down every thing to min doesn't work. CPU usage is like 80-97% sometimes. Maybe it's the new software update for my phone... Anyways, some tips. And maybe some good apps that van hibernate or kill background apps from the RAM while playing...

Need help finding an FPS game I used to play.

    Posted: 06 Jun 2022 01:27 PM PDT

The game was a pretty standard FPS that was free, no pay to win aspects to it. The characters in game were faceless and solid vibrant colors (like mannequins) consisting of red, blue, green, yellow, purple etc. and the maps were colorful as well. I think trails came out of the barrels when you shot but I could be wrong. Its driving me insane because I'd really like to dive back into it.

New to mobile gaming, any recommendations for f2p with fair mtx?

    Posted: 06 Jun 2022 09:25 AM PDT

    Hey! :)

I started with Diablo Immortal and despite my enjoyment I think the mtx is not fair.

Can you recommend a game, maybe turn based, strategy or something where you can just have fun for 2 minutes with quite fair progression and good mtx?

Im looking for a game i played a while ago, but cant remember what its called. its like archero but instead of controlling one character you have a team you control the leader and the rest follow you have to clear stages of zombie enemies. the art style is kind of similar to idle mafia.

    5 RTS Games I Enjoy

    Posted: 05 Jun 2022 10:08 AM PDT

I think that the RTS genre translates extremely well to mobile. However, it can feel like there are only pay-to-win RTS games because of their constant advertisements everywhere. That's why I wanted to throw together a list of some of the ones I've personally enjoyed! I hope it helps others find an RTS game to sink some time into!

I also made a video that contains gameplay footage and further information about each individual game within this list.

Feel free to watch it here: https://youtu.be/yiflvnOlqGo

Alright, let's get right into it!

    ———————————————————————

    1. Galcon 2: This is an old one but a good one! You start out controlling various planets. The larger the planet is, the faster units will spawn on the planet. You can then order units from planet to planet in order to take over new planets. Its mechanics are simple to understand but the gameplay remains very strategic. Single/multiplayer matches are very quick and satisfying. I highly suggest this one!

    2. Northgard: This is one of my personal favorites on mobile. It has a distinct "civ-builder" feel to it while also including everything else that the RTS genre is known for. There are several clans to play as and every one of them has a unique play style to set them apart from the rest. It's important to note that this is an extremely well-done mobile port and it's just as good on mobile as other platforms.

    3. Rusted Warfare: This one strongly reminds me of a flash game due to its art style and sound design. It has several game modes along with a ton of options/settings to boot. Due to its large-scale battles and numerous units on the screen at once, it truly feels like a full-fledged PC RTS. It doesn't add anything unique to the RTS genre but what it does, it does really well.

    4. Domination Wars: This game streamlines the core RTS formula by removing some of the micromanaging that RTS games tend to have. You build different encampments that spawn various units. These units control their own actions so most of your decision-making involves utilizing abilities and building encampments in the right place, at the right time. Matches are quick, hectic, and fun. This one is a great option for a more casual experience.

    5. RTS Siege Up!: This game has quite a bit of charm because of its art style. It has a single-player campaign, multiplayer, and a level-creator where you can share/play created levels. It's important to note that you can also play this in either portrait or landscape mode. I've been really impressed by this one and it has quickly become one of my favorites on mobile! You can't go wrong with giving it a go, in my opinion!

Thanks for reading through this list! I hope it helped you find a great RTS game to enjoy! If you have some favorites of your own, please share them in the comments down below! I'm excited to read them!

Games like Alter Ego (also psychological games and deep devastating sad stories)

    Posted: 05 Jun 2022 06:20 AM PDT

As said in title, I've played Alter Ego, that i loved despite the very strange (as it's basically a visual novel) gameplay, and was searching for more related stuff.

Any reccomendation about games with a very sad/deep/psychological/very original component Is greatly appreciated!

(I don't care if the game Is actually all text, a visual novel or with a very basic gameplay, i care more about the story, and also something very short like city of tides or games that lasts 5 minutes are ok too lol)

Disappointed with Diablo Immortal's MTX structure, any similar games out there with no P2W BS?

    Posted: 04 Jun 2022 12:14 PM PDT

Was actually looking forward to Diablo Immortal but the predatory P2W MTX is possibly the worst I have ever seen in any game ever. I've been itching for a loot base ARPG for awhile now, anything else good out there?
