    Android TV Memo/PostIt apps?

    Android TV Memo/PostIt apps?

    Memo/PostIt apps?

    Posted: 08 May 2022 01:20 PM PDT

Looking for an app that would allow me to set a message from my Android phone and have it displayed on my Chromecast w/GoogleTV equipped TV. Something so I can leave my family a quick "I've gone for a walk" note.

Most of the apps I've found are part of larger systems for corporate settings, etc.

4K MKV video pixelated and stuttering.

    Posted: 08 May 2022 08:31 AM PDT

    Hi again!

I have noticed that when I watch some 2160p MKV movies directly from my 2TB external HDD on my tv, it gets pixelated at some moments in the movie. It is often at the scenes in the movie where the screen moves faster. Is there any problem with the bitrate or something. Or is it that my tv's built in computer can't handle these kind of files every time?

Because I also want to say that I have been playing much heavier 4K MKV files before. One example is that I one time played a 60 GB BDRemux H.265 file that had HDR and it was 2160p (4K) like I said!

So why did that movie work flawlessly?

The last 4K movie I played was yesterday, that movie was around 10 GB and it was also not a BluRay, it was a WEB-DL 2160p SDR with H.265, and this movie got pixelated every like 2-3 minutes I think.

So why does some 2160p WEB-DL movies that aren't that heavy stutter and get pixelated sometimes, because it isn't everytime, but it has happened now several times (but NOT everytime). Cause even some 1080p BluRay files have started to suddenly not work and pixelates, but that doesn't like really happen ever, it has only happened 2-3 times I think. But I still wonder why!

I also want to note that I have played several WEBRip/ WEB-DL 2160p movies (some in SDR and some in HDR). When I played them there was no pixelation or stuttering. To these movies I have been using the same media player (Nova Video Player).

The thing is that when I have tried other media players to try if the movie gets pixelated, then it don't show any difference, it gets pixelated and stutters just as much as before. So is it the TV's built in computers fault or is it something else?

So why does some 4K movies work and some don't? Because sometimes when I restart my TV, the movies suddenly works again without pixelation!?

The TV I am playing these files directly on is: Hitachi 50HAL7351.

So please someone, what is the main problem??

Help with connecting to wifi - no remote

    Posted: 08 May 2022 10:32 AM PDT

Hoping someone might be able to help. I just moved and have lost the remote to the TV. I have a keyboard connected and can get all the way to entering the password, but can't get further than that. I've pressed "enter" multiple times and tried every other button on the keyboard but nothing works. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
