    Hi,

    I have to build an app for classified ads (already has a backend API and a public website for non-app users).

    The requirements for the app are:
    User can register, login and logout of their account
    Have good performance for infinite scrolling (paginated via API)
    Must be able to use camera and/or local storage for creating a advert
    Must be able to use location services

    What would be the best framework for this use case?

    I have ~5 years experience in native java android development.

    Hello.

    Today i decided to target my applications to Android 12+, setted all "android exported" but got the issue in one signal.

    Have you guys any idea to define it in manifest? I tryed few ways but the only working way was update onesignal to version 4+, currently i am using 3.11.4.

    Sadly in this fix method my 2 classes has been ruined because in 4+ version NotificationExtenderService and OSNotificationReceivedResult not longer exist, i am right?

    How difficult is working as a Java developer for an experienced Android developer?

    I'm currently an Android developer with 4 years experience (though I am not sure I have enough knowledge of a 4 year experience). I am looking for a job change but in my locality there are vacancies for Java developers but no Android developer jobs. As I have basic knowledge in Java (because of which I chose Android) is this job change safe (i.e. will I have a difficult time implementing the tasks assigned to me as Java developer leading to delays & work pressures)?

    Guide on how Best Practices on setting up Play Store Internal/Test/Release Tracks, Git CI/CD, etc.

    So I'm wondering about how to setup a new project with internal, test tracks, etc... and what methodologies people have tried and found works best for them... Different git branches, each branch setup to CI/CD to be uploaded to Google, etc...

    Particularly if anyone has writeups that describe what they recommend. First time having to do all this myself so... I have ideas on what to do, but not sure if I'm making good assumptions... or just over thinking things... etc..

    App not found on Google Play

    I published an app on Google Play 5 days ago, but it's still impossible to find it by keywords. I can find the app by directly searching using its name/title, but not keywords. A copywriter has carefully written the description of the app to include all necessary keywords and I have added a few of them to our package ID. I didn't expect the app to rank high, but I expected that people would be able to find it.

    Any thoughts on why the app is not being returned in GP search results?

    Facing issue with RevenueCat in Play Store

    Hello people, I'm trying to add Subscriptions in my Flutter App. For handling the payments I'm using purchases_flutter library from RevenueCat. I have done the setup by following the RevenueCat Docs and also added Subscription Products in Play store. But when I try to get products in my app, the skuDetailsList is empty.

    The app is currently deployed to Closed Testing on Play Store.

    Am I facing this issue because the app is in review in the closed testing? Or have I made some error?

    [Question] Making android apps by linking web view and web based coding is fine right?

    so basically what i just wanna know is that is it ok if i just linked webview to my app in android studio...

    what i mean is that is it ok if i set up everything to be displayed and edited in html ,css and js + using java and xml when needed..would it arise some problems?

    if u dont get simply what i am telling is that...is it ok,like fine if i linked i mean just made a index.html and style.css and app.js files and linked it to my project...will their be any problem or am i good to go?

    I'm a newbie overwhelmed with information

    Hi guys,

    I've recently started learning about Android development and in the meantime, a lot my questions piled up so I thought maybe some of you could answer them.

    Firstly, I had some prior knowledge in Java and so I decided to buy a course on Udemy that focuses on development with Java and Android Studio.

    While learning, I've read that Kotlin is the new industry standard and that Java is outdated in this context. I've also heard about Flutter and its benefits... So my first question would be - should I continue working with Java or switch to Kotlin / Flutter (& Dart)?

    What is the best way to implement Material Design 3 to my projects? (since that has also been popping up lately)

    What is Jetpack Compose and should I also learn about it?

    As you can see, as a total beginner I'm overwhelmed with information and not really sure what my learning path should be. Any help would be much appreciated!

    Paid app - create promotion codes with reduced price

    Hi,

    I have been searching quite a lot and I can not find my answer. I have a paid app and I would like to offer promotional codes for some users which would allow them to pay only 50% of the price for example.

    I can see in the console that I can either reduce the price by 50% for every body (or for specific countries) or give promotional codes which will make the app free for the people using the code.

    But I would like promo codes which gives a 50% discount, not the app for free.

    It it possible ? And if not, why ?

    Recently found my old Ellipsis Tablet and thought Id boot it up to have something a bit larger to watch yt on.
    This thing runs 4.4.2 so its no longer supported. I thought Id just sideload it but everytime I get to the "no command" screen I just cant do anything. Everywhere says to press and hold power then press volume up but that doesnt work and Ive tried a multitude of combos. Any ideas what could be happening?

    I've been programming in Java for one hour so far. Am I ready to jump into Android Development. Do I have to learn Kotlin? I hate to have to switch since I'm so comfortable with Java.
