    Home Unlabelled Android TV Is anyone else having trouble using Google tv remote. I had paired my Google remote with other devices like TCL sound bar. It was working fine before but now I am unable to control the bar with Google remote. I tried to re pair it but now it doesn't allow me to set buttons for bar.

    Chromecast with Google TV Ethernet

    Hey guys did anyone try this Ethernet hub and it worked for him? I saw a comment from someone on this subreddit saying it worked for him so I bought it but it's not establishing any Ethernet connection for me. Is there something I'm supposed to do for it to work?     Guys,

    I know other people have had this problem before but i just can't seem to be able to fix it on my TV. I tried factory reset, I tried router reset, I tried the date & time sync, none of these worked. What else can I do?

    JBL Link Bar can't get to welcome screen

    Hi all,

    I picked up the JBL Link Bar and subwoofer yesterday on clearance (they were display models)and immediately ran into a problem.

    I can't get to the welcome screen to set up the bar and android TV.

    The following sequence is all that happens. When powering on the bar I get the JBL logo then 4 coloured circles followed by the Android logo. Then the screen goes black then blue then black with text reading "audio only".

    Has anyone experienced this and found a way to get it working? Otherwise it's going back to the shop.

    Issue with HDR and PS5

    So I am dealing with a couple of issues currently. Around 3 weeks ago I did a fresh wipe of my nvidia shield, and have been experiencing two issues since.

    I have a TCL 6 series (2018), shield tube, ps5, and denon receiver.

    Prior to the fresh install, I was having no issues. The main issue I am having is if I switch the input from the PS5 to the shield, HDR keeps staying on for some reason. The menu is over exposed, the image is obviously too bright. The only way I can get the HDR off is if I power on the PS5 again, change the receiver input to the ps5, turn off the PS5, and then change the input back (and it doesn't always work, takes multiple tries).

    Just restarting the receiver does nothing, just restarting the shield does nothing.

    The last issue I am having is with the shield screen saver. It used to be that if I was watching a video in kodi and it was paused, the screen saver would pop up eventually on the timer. When I press a button on the remote, the screen saver would turn off and I would carry on with the video.

    Now, if I press a button to close the screen saver, it just brings me back to the start page in kodi. I can not for the life of me find a setting that would leave the video running in the backround.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Streaming Box to use with NAS?

    Good day,

    I'm looking for a streaming Box/Stick, tho I will only use it with media from my local NAS Server. also it must support connecting to Bluetooth headphones.

    I did some research and found these:

    Chromecast with Android TV, Ruko Ultra or Premier Plus and Xiaomi Mi Box TV. what do you guys think id the best one here?

    MX Player Pro custom codec

    Had to reset my Nvidia shield to factory and now have to reload MX player pro custom codec. I seem to remember using mx-aio.1.3.5.zip in the past (before I had the Pro version) but MX doesn't seem to recognize zip files so maybe I'm wrong about that. Regardless, if I extract the zip it doesn't help. MX sees the file but ignores it.

    I need ARMv8 Neon. I've tried so many versions (1.41,1.44,1.4.5 etc)

    Please help, I am seriously starting to lose my mind. I don't remember this ever being this difficult

    On my new ONN DEVICE, On my new ONN device, I can't figure out how

    to set up downloads. I keep getting a box that pops up and says downloads not set up on this device yet. Sure could use some help and alos have a OTG cable with my USB STICK AND THE ONN IS'T FINDIT IT EITHER. THE MANUAL IS VERY SMALL AND LITTLE HELP. THANS FOR SURE.

    Youtube app always outputs Dolby 5.1 to receiver, no option for 2.0 PCM?

    Hi all,

    I have a Tivo Stream 4K (android 9) and Verizon Stream (2020) box (android 10)- both of which I notice output a constant dolby encoded 5.1 stream to my receiver (Sony STR-DN1080). This is great for most content - however, for YouTube (not YouTube TV), plain youtube streaming, stereo content is output with 5.1 encoding, and my receiver doesn't let me use Pro Logic to simulate surround.

    In the past, my Fire TV sticks have switched to PCM 2.0 output automatically when watching youtube, and back to Dolby when it matches the content. Is there any setting that can emulate this behavior, so I can get stereo only from youtube?

    Sidenote: the playback speed controls are no where to be found on either of the two android tvs, which is quite frustrating.

    Disney+ and Dolby Atmos?

    I just got a 5.1.2 soundbar system that supports Dolby Atmos. I've already confirmed it just works on Netflix. When I try to play content on Disney+ that says it has Atmos available in the details, I still only get Dolby Digital Plus 5.1. Does Disney just not support Atmos for Android? The app is 2.5.1-rc1.

    Fire TV alternative? Tired of Amazon's launcher & them blocking custom launchers.

    I have Fire TV Cube. It's a good device. Fast. Silent. Lots of streaming content.

    However, the stock launcher is a nightmare. It's messy and overstimulating. I have been using the Wolf launcher for a while, which has been perfect, but Amazon have now completely blocked it.

    I'm now looking for a different streaming device that supports custom launchers, Kodi and all the other main streaming services, is fast & fanless/silent.

    Any suggestions? Thanks! 😄

    Hi,

    I'm looking for a device to replace my Raspberry PI4 (Kodi) which was my 1st choice movie player connected to the TV before HDMI ports stopped working.

    I thought about MI Box 4k S but I couldn't find an option to upload movies directly to the box. Raspberry was good but some movies were choppy and framerate dropped.

    What I'm looking for:

    - a cheap device

    - ethernet port

    - expandable storage - pendrive or SD card or HDD/SDD without external power supply

    - possibility to upload films to the device

    - srt/txt subtitles playback

    - at least 4K

    ​

    What's not needed:

    - streaming

    - netflix/prime

    ​

    I live in Europe. What would you suggest?

    Best Free Key Remapping app for Android TV?

    What is the best free key remapping app for Android TV? I tried KeyMapper but I'm unable to navigate the app using the tv remote. It looks like it's not fully compatible with Android TV. Are there any other free ones to try?
