This weekly Sunday thread is for you to let off some steam and speak out about whatever complaint you might have about:

    • Your device.

    • Your carrier.

    • Your device's manufacturer.

    • An app

    • Any other company

    Rules

    1) Please do not target any individuals or try to name/shame any individual. If you hate Google/Samsung/HTC etc. for one thing that is fine, but do not be rude to an individual app developer.

    2) If you have a suggestion to solve another user's issue, please leave a comment but be sure it's constructive! We do not want any flame-wars.

    3) Be respectful of other's opinions. Even if you feel that somebody is "wrong" you don't have to go out of your way to prove them wrong. Disagree politely, and move on.

What's the deal with generic-named apps flooding google play and having millions of installations?

    Posted: 09 Apr 2022 05:11 AM PDT

Hi, after reading about the sharkbot malware (https://www.scmagazine.com/brief/device-security/sharkbot-malware-spread-using-fake-android-anti-virus-apps) in certain apps(Luckly in a small number of users), i write my reflection about one of the google play problems, an issue that troubles me is how google allows apps even with genericand sometimes badly arranged, possibly product of bad translation named apps like Mobile cleaner 2021, various keyboard themes apps and they are placed in chart lists on google play even though thet contain virus, adware to the point of filling up space and malware, not visible by the average user that could potentially harm the device and affect the privacy of user. Is perhaps Google that doesn't care about the safety of apps or having quality standards? Same for games. Most of the top games in numbers of downloads are piano tiles clones, and r/shittymobilegameads material like games with shitty gameplay, rip offs of other games, cringy unfunny humor that could offend certain users and badly optimized games.

    Posted: 09 Apr 2022 11:18 AM PDT

Ok, this is the way without ngrok and use your phones Ip!

    system requirements:

    1. Android phone that can run Termux and have at least 4GB of RAM

I used a Samsung Galaxy A72 for this test with 8 GB of RAM.

    2. internet connection [10-12mb for 12 people] + Downloading ~500MB stuff so see for you

    3. Minecraft Account [from https://www.minecraft.net/]

    4. Storage [10GB is solid]

    Setting Up

    1. Download Termux: https://github.com/termux/termux-app#installation
    2. Download AnLinux: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=exa.lnx.a&hl=sr&gl=US
    3. Run AnLinux and install Ubuntu
    4. run ./start-ubuntu.sh

    Ubuntu Stuff:

    1. run apt-get install software-properties-common
    2. run add-apt-repository ppa:openjdk-r/ppa
    3. run apt-get update
    4. run apt-get install openjdk-8-jre
    5. and to test Java run java -version

now I will show you 1.16.5 way [I got that first try with no lag] if you want newer version download newer server.jar

    1. run mkdir MC_SERVER
    2. run cd MC_SERVER
    3. run wget -O server.jar https://launcher.mojang.com/v1/objects/1b557e7b033b583cd9f66746b7a9ab1ec1673ced/server.jar
    4. run chmod +x minecraft_server.jar
    5. run java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar server.jar nogui

The server should show that EULA is missing etc to fix that

    1. run apt-get install nano
    2. nano eula.txt
    3. change false to true click ctrl and s than ctrl and x
    4. run again java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar server.jar nogui

And now to port forward 25565 on your phone [or pc]

    1. go to 192.168.1.1
    2. in there login [user and password SHOULD be admin admin but check for yours]
    3. if you can find your phone name and IP under it [if you cant just try to find ip the other way that needs to be 192.168.x.x]
    4. to port forward try to find for your router port forwarding options and port forward 25565 as TCP and UDP
    5. than its done! Relaunch the server on phone and play on your pc!

After this article you should have a full 1.16.5 Minecraft server on phone
