OSOM OV1 official partial front render

    Posted: 10 Mar 2022 10:34 AM PST

In addition to the OSOM Privacy Cable, we're excited to introduce bezels! 😉 In our attempt to showcase a render of the OV1 in our previous post, we mistakenly shrunk our bezels. #sorry Here they are, in all their glory! #bezels #startuplife #startup #startups

If you were wondering what their previous render looked like

More info on the cable from The Verge

Unfortunately, the mechanical disconnect means the cable runs at USB 2 speeds, according to Osom spokesperson Andy Fouché — a glacial 60 megabytes per second. The OV1's port can support the much faster 625 MB/s speeds of USB 3.2 Gen 1, though, when paired with a different cable.

Keats couldn't say how fast the OV1 will charge, just that it will be "impressively quick." It is BYOB (bring your own brick), though — it won't ship with a charger in the box.

    com.samsung.android.app.spage; what is it really?

    Posted: 10 Mar 2022 09:30 AM PST

com.Samsung.android.app.spage is, in other words, the Bixby, which is s virtual assistant just like Apple Siri. So with Bixby, you can control the recent applications, music, and videos with ease. You must have to know these very well if you are using a Samsung S8 or a newer version.

Many users complain that the com.Samsung.android.app.spage is slowing down the device and affects the performance. So that is why we are writing this article to clarify what is going on behind.

    How does Bixby work?

    • Many say it is not good.

This works as a Digital Virtual Assistant [DAV], which helps you in controlling your device with voice commands.

So far, Bixby's records are very poor when it comes to customer reviews. They've still failed to develop it as lite as possible to make it work faster. In direct words, it eats up the phone's resources to make it slower.

    • Some say it is useful.

Yep, those who know about all of its functions and features do not say that the Bixby is not good to use. So why do they say that?

    • Can connect the social applications.
    • Can see news headlines.
    • Can see whether forecast.
    • Can display feeds directly.

So it is up to you to choose whether the Bixby, in other words, com.Samsung.android.app.page is useful or not for you.

It depends on how and why you're using it.

    How to disable Bixby?

Disabling Bixby is nothing hard. There are three ways to disable Bixby.

    1. Disable Bixby Home.
    2. Disable Bixby Button.
    3. Disable Bixby Voice.

    Disabling the Hi-Bixby.

    1. Activate the Bixby app by clicking on the icon.
    2. You may access the hamburger menu by tapping the hamburger menu button on the left-hand side of your screen.
    3. A gear-shaped symbol will appear at the top of your screen.
    4. Select "Voice Wake Up" from the menu that appears.
    5. Turn off the "Hi, Bixby" wake-up option. If it's not already on, you may do so here.

How to disable the Bixby button on Galaxy S21, S20, Note 10, and Note 20.

In order to bring up your phone's notifications menu,

    1. Swipe down on the screen and press on the power symbol at the top right.
    2. You should be able to view the power menu and the Side Key settings choices on the screen. Continue by pressing the button.
    3. Settings, including those for pressing and holding, should appear.

You may turn off Bixby by using the Power off menu option instead of the Wake Bixby setting.
