| Split-screen local multiplayer games Posted: 14 Dec 2021 08:10 AM PST Looking for recommendations on SPLIT-SCREEN local multiplayer games ie the screen split in half (50/50). I have a giant projector and my friends and I want to play simple local multiplayer games on it, and not fuss around with different mobile device screens. Any time I search for this, the results come up with MULTI-screen multiplayer games where each player has their own screen (whether online or offline). | Googletv problem adding USB storage Posted: 14 Dec 2021 09:13 AM PST Pleassee help this is driving me nuts. I'm relatively tech savvy have viewed all the tutorials to add extra storage to googletv puck. Using a USB c hub with extra power brick 25w sufficient to run an 8gb usb stick formatted to fat32. I've got Dev mode switched on. Each time I plug in a usb drive to the hub it simply doesn't recognize it at all no error mesgs nothing. I've tried multiple diff brands of usb stick all formatted correctly for fat32. And none work. I've tested the USB c hub in my laptop seperatly as well as the USB sticks and all work fine it's just when connected together it simply doesn't recognize they're connected. | Freebox Remote offers an alternative to the Google TV app's remote control feature Posted: 13 Dec 2021 06:27 PM PST Freebox Remote, an unofficial remote control app for Android TV set-top boxes from French ISP Free, can act as a universal Android TV remote if you set the model to Freebox Pop while scanning. The app was recently updated to support the new Android TV Remote protocol v2, which is what the Google TV app's remote uses. Unfortunately, the developer told me he hasn't gotten keyboard input to work yet with the new protocol. Keyboard input does work if your TV hasn't received the latest Android TV Remote Service update, which supports the V1 protocol. Since this app supports the v2 protocol, it should work with the Google Chromecast with Google TV as well, but I don't have one so I can't test it. I'm curious to know if it works! You can download it for free from Google Play. There's a small IAP to remove ads and use widgets without restrictions. I have no affiliation with the developer. This is nearly perfect except that my Google profile is opened and I have to exit it to get to Flauncher. Has anyone else had this problem? Ideally be able to play 2-4 controllers at once (parties) either on Chromecast or PC emulator If possible: A wireless controller that has the option to be WIRED with power (e.g. USB cable) so I have the option to use it without batteries Modern Xbox and PS controllers, although well-built with excellent ergonomics, seem too pricey/fancy/power-hungry. To use PS4 or PS5 controllers without the actual PS systems is overkill. I'm aware of 3rd-party brands and cheap products, but I'm willing to consider them. I'm a super casual gamer. | Power adapter for Nokia streaming box 8000 Posted: 12 Dec 2021 03:14 AM PST Hi I recently got the the Nokia streaming box 8000 with the change to a new internet supplier and I am satisfied with the whole setup. The issue is the power adapter. It'a too chunky and the cable is too short to to hide it behind cable ducts.. it's just a mess. Does anybody know what kind of plug type this power adapter has?
