[REQUEST] Can you guys suggest some games for my 60 year old mom? She enjoys puzzle type games.

    Posted: 26 Dec 2021 01:54 PM PST

As the title says, my mom wants some games to relax and also to get her noodle working. She enjoys games that make her think but are simple in design and not complex.

    Single/Multiplayer: yes

    Genre: puzzle / thinking

    Online/Offline: Either

Monetization/Cost: preferrably free or under $5. Will consider paying for quality.

    Portrait/Landscape: Either

Key Features: Games that don't require any mechanical skill. Mostly games she can play at a slower pace and games that will exercise her mind a bit.

She mostly plays on her phone but I did get her a tablet as well so if you know any good tablet games, please share.

Thank you all in advance for your recommendations!

    WTF happened to Android gaming

    Posted: 25 Dec 2021 07:20 PM PST

Majority of the new releases are idle or auto battlers, with mindless repetitive progression

I recall i posted a thread on this sub a few years ago where i discussed some high quality, fine graphics games and basically encouraged frequent mention of such games on this sub

But now the entire landscape of Android gaming looks different

Even the good looking fine graphical games are adapting the idle game approach

A few years back, even if games had Energy or some p2w element, at least the games were fun to play

You actually felt a sense of achievement grinding a new character or some other significant in game reward

Now, it's just mindless BS with it's either the stupid battle royale or those stupid social games with top down views, building timers and 'hot babes' to attract simps to spend money on the game

    WTF happened to Android gaming..

    [Request] Timing based dungeon crawler

    Posted: 26 Dec 2021 02:41 PM PST

Hi, I need some help remembering the name of this game I played before.

It's got pixel art, and you start as a knight with low health and low attack. You face against various monsters and eventually the bosses that are in that level.

The combat is based on watching telegraphed moves and memorizing attack patterns to either block or attack.

I'm pretty sure the last boss is Satan or whatever.

It's not on the play store iirc, I'm just gonna find an apk

EDIT: you could also play as a mage, and there were skill trees, and you would progress by going up or down levels after beating the enemy

    changed app to apk

EDIT: it's Deep Dungeons of Doom

    Active community MMORPG

    Posted: 26 Dec 2021 09:16 AM PST

I am looking for an MMO with active community. I have heard alot about Albion, runescape, and adventure quest3d. I am not sure which of them is better as I am not planning to pay at all to enjoy the game. I just want to interact with people and do activities whether they are PvP or PvE.

Anyone have any info on any kind of new Hustle Castle/Zero City/Shelter War kind of gaming coming out anytime soon?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2021 11:16 PM PST

Since the zombie, post apocolypse, medival and american dad themes are covered. I was hoping for a Cyberpunk or sci fi like Mass Effect theme.

The Last Door. How can I get more of that, or something similar?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2021 11:55 AM PST

I've been searching for good Android games, also using MiniReview and just google, but it's not easy to find something palatable to me. Then I found The last door and, wow, it's just amazing. I'm writing this instead of playing the last episode just so I can delay finishing the game a bit... So, my question is, could you suggest some other titles that are somewhat similar to last door? Or the same level of quality? I mean something targeted to adult gamers, rpg or point and click or strategic / scifi... I don't really know what to say, but I'm having a blast with last door and craving for more.

    Controller supported games

    Posted: 26 Dec 2021 11:17 AM PST

Got any favourites? Pascal's Wager was good.

Something with a multiplayer element is good though. CoDM seems pretty bad with a controller it seems vs Touchpad.

Looking for game to passively grind at

    Posted: 26 Dec 2021 09:37 PM PST

Not really sure what im looking for since no mobile has really clicked for me. I have enjoyed Coc, ulala and tap titan a bit but never really stuck around. I guess I'm looking for something with an afk and active component but most importantly with progression at it's core. Art style wise I like pixel art or just nice simple games but no art is a deal breaker if it's fun. Not sure if anyone will be able to help based off of these but I'm desperate lol

    Is cod mobile worth it?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2021 03:24 PM PST

So I downloaded cod mobile after having it on my original phone at first the game was like 2.2 gb so I was like sure why not then it said I had to download som extra stuff however after downloading I check and was shocked to see my storage which was originally at 19 gb was now at 30 gb so I have to ask is it worth it having the game downloaded or should I just delete it to save space?

What singleplayer Android game is your favourite?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2021 12:28 AM PST

I've mainly only been sticking to multiplayer games with friends, but hear people enjoying singleplayer games. Curious to try some myself.

    • FPS/TPS
    • 3D platformers
    • 3D RPG
