Did cloud gaming killed the development of AAA games on Android?

    Posted: 05 Dec 2021 12:23 AM PST

I was playing Cyberpunk 2077 on geforce now and I'm currently playing Forza Horizon 4 on Xcloud... And I don't even have stadia yet.

Are Android gamers doomed to hyper casual games forever? The only game I'm looking forward is Warframe just to see what they are going to do.

We're now able to play Final Fantasy 10 on android at full speed most of the time. And other ps2 games. AetherSX2 released today and its miles better than DamonPs2, which couldn't even run most games, wad paid, had ads and stolen software, and did other shady things to your privacy.

[Request] Rogue-lite or point-and-click RPG with a good story?

    Posted: 05 Dec 2021 08:24 AM PST

    Hey there,

I'm pretty bored and looking for a new game, so...

    MUST have a good story

CAN be free or premium CAN be a rogue-lite or point-and-click RPG

SHOULD NOT be about Vikings or too deep into fantasy (sci-fi is fine).

I enjoyed The Silent Age and 80 Days a lot, but the game can be different to those. I like solving puzzles á la Dark Room but I also enjoy dialogue-heavy games.

Generally, it should have a good story, choices would be great but having just one story path is totally fine.

    Thanks a lot!

Flydigi Wee2T connecting issues on Android 12

    Posted: 05 Dec 2021 09:03 AM PST

I have a Flydigi Wee2T which was working really well until I updated my phone to android 12.

Now the Flydigi app can't even connect to the controller at all, it isn't recognized

I can connect to it via the standard bluetooth settings but its name shows up as garbled symbols and the buttons either don't work at all or perform seemingly random actions

Anyone else experiencing this? Is this an android 12 issue or just a problem with my specific ROM?

    SOLVED!

Turns out this was happening on devices running older versions of android so it isn't android 12 related.

What I did was download the Flydigi app from the chinese website(QR code on the back of the controller) and selected the DFU or gamepad upgrade option. To put the controller in DFU turn it off then turn it on while pressing LB+LT. An upgrade fixed the issue.

How is the Niffelheim gameplay experience for you?

It's new on Android, premium, but it seems to have mixed reviews on other platforms. I'd be interested to hear thoughts from anyone who had played it.

looking for a cool racing game

    Posted: 05 Dec 2021 01:59 AM PST

I played csr racing 2 and I loved it. I'm looking for something similar where we can collect a bunch of cars. I'm also looking for online play with friends which is something the game couldn't do. the competitiveness of it sounds fun. it can be drag racing or the usual I don't mind as long as there's steady progression that isn't long.

Owners of Gamesir x2 BT, try playing on "ios" mode for lower latency?

    Posted: 04 Dec 2021 08:19 PM PST

So I have used my gamesir x2 2021 plenty of time on IOS and always thought latency was okay. I could barely feel it, if at all tbh. But then I tried using on my lgv60 Android phone while using the press A to power (blue light) mode and the latency was ATROCIOUS.

I don't think I'm super perceptive of latency but I was playing a music game with it and I could hit exactly 0 notes. I then trying playing like 5 other games and again I felt noticeably delay in the more twitchy games. To the point that I tried my dualshock 4 and I thought that one was pretty good compared to the gx2.

So finally when I was about to give up I decided to try it with the hold B to Power (pink light) mode. My phone recognizes it as an Xbox controller.

The latency is muuuch better. Comparable to what it is in ios.

Can anyone else check me on this? I don't have any hardware to test it out other than by feel.

    Gaming (SD cards)

    Posted: 04 Dec 2021 05:22 PM PST

So, basically I bought a device that could run Genshin Impact on it and since Genshin is a big app I decided to buy an SD card.

I went to developer options and managed to move GI. to my SD card but the problem is... I still see 15GB consumed on Internal Memory. Is it a visual bug or moving the app to an SD card does nothing?
    I'm confused.
