Why does clipboard sync between Android and PC still suck?

    Posted: 05 Dec 2021 07:42 AM PST

Unless you are a Premium Samsung owner, your clipboard sharing experience sucks in android. Let me elaborate.

    1. Samsung One UI (full not core) works really well with your windows device and seamlessly syncs the clipboard. Not everyone has this option.
    2. Clipt by Oneplus is a good workaround but still not good enough. It keeps logging out of my browsers (even chrome). It's useless if I have to login every time to copy something, I would just type it out instead. Also, clipt lacks any ability to auto read and send clipboard from android. (Other apps enable this function using some ADB commands.
    3. Swiftkey Keyboard works really well one way, from pc to android. But from android to PC simply doesn't work for me. Copying and pasting OTPs would become so easy if only this worked.
    4. Join by Joaoapps works really well both ways. Clipboard syncs 99% of the time. But the bubble feature is annoying and keeps popping out even after it was disabled. It keeps appearing even in full screen apps. I got annoyed and deleted it. The clunky, unintuitive chrome extension also is big con.
    5. Apart from these methods I have also tried other techniques like using Opera Flow as chat service between my phone and PC (It can share any file under 10MB). But opera's other limitations on both PC and android were too much for me to continue using it as my default browser.

I want to hear from you guys. How do you guys sync your clipboard? Have you faced similar issues like mine? If you have any working solution, do share.
