Looking for an compact Android tv box with storage Posted: 07 Sep 2021 08:08 AM PDT Hi everyone. I'm fleshing out my camp setup with some entertainment. Recently picked up a compact 12v projector and discovered, unfortunately, that I cannot screenshare downloaded netflix shows from my phone (Galaxy s10 5g) to the projector. I have tried a HDMI dongle (netflix throws error after about 5 secs), chromecast + smart view (throws same error), Samsung DEX (via HDMI dongle) only plays audio no video, chromecast + 3rd party casting app. I am looking to pick up a dedicated Android box that I can download netflix shows and hook up to the projector when I have no internet. Looking for something that ticks as many of these boxes as possible:
I have never ventured down this path before, and anything I have found does not really contain the information about the ability to download shows and movies to local storage. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated! [link] [comments] |
Problems with android tv assistant Posted: 07 Sep 2021 07:04 AM PDT Can anyone get their assistant to play shows from various apps? Whenever i ask my android tv assistant to play show (ex play young Sheldon from prime video) it always says that it can't tell if young Sheldon is on prime video. Has anybody had any luck with it or is this a feature thats not yet working? [link] [comments] |
External app on non-smart tv, what device? Posted: 07 Sep 2021 07:49 AM PDT Quick question, my satellite provider gave me an option to use an Android app to watch tv via net. At the moment I only have an old non-smart tv, so I was thinking about buying a Chromecast or something similar to be able to use it, preferably Thewithout having my phone connected at all times, just to use it as an actual smart tv. Question is, what device on the market allows for installing apps and sideloading them without Google Play? Seeing as I can't find information about downloading apps from Google Store or side loading them, what are my options? Googling for that stuff only gives me some hacks, but does not allow me to find any comparisons for different devices (don't even know the word to name this type of device to Google it correctly) [link] [comments] |
Application Issues On Sony Bravia With Android OS Posted: 07 Sep 2021 07:15 AM PDT Ive got an issue with my Sony XBR55X900E that runs Android OS. Whenever I try to load up apps installed on the TV such as ESPN, Bally Sports, it almost always take 10 minutes to load. The software is updated to the current version as well as the apps I'm trying to load. Has anyone experienced anything similar to this? [link] [comments] |
TCL R646 Google TV Optimization tips? Posted: 06 Sep 2021 11:04 AM PDT Hey, just got the TCL R646, and the Google OS is quite slow and buggy. Picture colors and aspect ratios seem subpar. Anyone have a link suggesting optimizations to the Google OS? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 Sep 2021 04:31 PM PDT What am I doing wrong? I bought the following TV below. Currently do not have wired cable but I am live streaming through a really strong wifi connection with apps downloaded. All of the content looks choppy. For example I downloaded the ESPN and NFL app and was watching it live it just doesn't look like it's in HD at all. Trying to understand if I'm doing something wrong? Or I can expect HD only through wired cable…thanks in advance! CL 55" Class 5-Series QLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 Sep 2021 09:36 AM PDT I know the Roku Ultra remote has 3.5mm earbuds jack. This is super convenient. Are there any other streaming devices with this feature? [link] [comments] |
Best settings for LG 4K SDR screen Posted: 06 Sep 2021 09:27 AM PDT Hi guys! I just want to know which are the best settings for my Chromecast with Google TV on my LG 4K SDR screen. My first question is, should I turn on or off HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color? And the second one is, which is the best format color between: -YCbCr 4:2:0 10-bit -YCbCr 4:2:0 12-bit (my actual setting) -YCbCr 4:2:2 12-bit -YCbCr 4:4:4 8-bit -RGB 8-bit Thanks.
