| Collection of free streaming apps for Android TV Posted: 28 Sep 2021 01:41 PM PDT Here is a collection of different legal streaming apps with English language interface for Android TV that I have tried in last few months. Included are only those that offer free content without trial. I am sharing them here for those that might be interested in new options they might have not been aware of. Saving you from the trouble of researching which they are and how to get the installation files. APKs have been downloaded either from the Play Store or APK Mirror and are mostly up-to-date as of writing this post. All of them should be Android TV versions and not smartphone ones. Please note most of such apps are ad-supported and geo-blocked. While blocking the ads will render them non-functional in most cases, geo-blocking is bypassed with a use of VPN software which doesn't come free. Having something like this two months ago would have saved me a lot of time. By sharing this I hope to help other save their time instead. Remember to clean the cache (or data) for apps which you have tried to run from a geo-blocked location as otherwise they will likely not work once you turn on the VPN for the location required. This went on for some time so I attempted to restart to no avail. I unplugged it, waited a while then plugged it back in. It went back to a restart loop. I then continued my troubleshooting to attempt a factory reset. Now my TV won't turn on. Sony won't help because it's 4 years old. I'm stuck. Any help or suggestions would be spectacular! | Think Google will ever fix Chromecast with Google TV? Posted: 29 Sep 2021 05:59 AM PDT Spent 30mins on live chat last night only for them to say to factory reset the device. I am, of course, talking about storage on my Chromecast with Google TV. I have four apps installed and it's showing as our of space. I need to through apps manually clearing data/cache to free up space. Ridiculous for what is supposed to be a mainstream device. Have Google acknowledged the issue at all? Is there a workaround? | File Explorers can't see Expanded Internal Storage CCGTV Posted: 29 Sep 2021 01:30 AM PDT G'day, I've just whacked on a USB (128GB, FAT32) onto my Chromecast with Google TV, formatted it as internal storage and moved over all my apps, fine. However, no matter which File Explorer I use (solid, FX, File Commander) none of those can "see" it. I want to be able to movie particularly video files from one USB (external) to this larger USB. Any ideas beyond just unplugging it and doing it the old fashioned way? [link] [comments] | ||
