| Posted: 31 Aug 2021 09:38 AM PDT I was trying to clear some space from my wife's Huawei mate 20pro and deleted the photos from her camera gallery. Unfortunately what I didn't know was that she had stopped her Google photos back up some months ago. So though they showed up in the app, after I deleted them from gallery and cleared the deleted files, they have disappeared. Is there any way of restoring them? I've been on Google all day and have tried multiple apps to no avail.. I hope somebody can help, as there are some precious photos with her mum and family that may be lost forever otherwise. | Posted: 31 Aug 2021 09:16 AM PDT My Essential Phone is on its last legs. It is on Android 10 since Essential went under. I'm trying to keep everything backed up. SMS appear to not be backing up, and I don't want to download a third party app for it. Why are they not backing up? In Messages itself there are no settings for backup. In Settings - System - Backup (On) - Backup details - It just says "SMS messages - No data backed up" with nothing to click or toggle. What am I missing? Thanks [link] [comments] |

| Question on Factory resetting a Galaxy A12 Posted: 31 Aug 2021 08:40 AM PDT I bought a Galaxy A12 from the phone store and for some strange reason, instead of handing my phone they connected it to a computer and did some kind of update using an app called Fenir or Fenrir (not sure which one), anyway I didn't feel comfortable with the random update and I would to factory reset my phone but the question is this if I factory rese my phone would it still function properly? don't want to brick a new phone. | Do Not Disturb set to allow repeated calls while the phone is on mute? Posted: 31 Aug 2021 06:08 AM PDT Like the title says. I want to be able to sleep in peace, but repeated calls can wake me. | Samsung pattern makes everything crush Posted: 31 Aug 2021 12:06 PM PDT İ use samsung a50.it is rooted.And today i enabled power saving mode and started to listening music.And it continued like 30 mins after music is gone and then samsung logo appeared and i waited and screen appeared and i entered pattern it taked me to home screen and i continued to listening music after 2-3 hours my screen was off and when i wanted to open it i entered pattern and again same happened Samsung logo appeared and it rebooted without mytouch(i just entered pattern)and i again waited but this time i cant go to home screen it again did same.But this time i entered twrp and made recovery reboot.At this time i can enter to home screen but it said system ui keeps stopping i thinked that it is becouse of pattern and entered to settings and then lockscreen and when i wanted to turn off pattern it wanted my pattern which i entered but settings app keeps stoping appeared pls help me Note:the funny thing is that i can enter to home screen after screen off with face id [link] [comments] |

Once it happens once, it happens several other times over the next few minutes before stopping for a while. Does anyone know what it means or how to stop it? It's gotten really annoying. | Posted: 31 Aug 2021 11:47 AM PDT I have an s21 base model.My Google play services do not work. I cannot download, update, or uninstall games through the Google Play Store. It's like those buttons don't register I'm pressing them. I have tried literally everything under the book and Samsung support told me that my phone is the problem. I know that's wrong because I'm not the only one to have this problem. I have found a way to bypass this by using the website on Chrome. However, I cannot buy in app purchases because games on android run Google play services. So I guess I'm either looking on ways to correct the Google play store or ways to bypass Google play services to buy things. I have already cleared cache, data, force stopped Google play, Google play services, and everything else under the moon. I have restarted my phone and even factory reset my phone. When I tapped it, this Google window popped up. I haven't seen it again. Anyone recognize this behavior? I'm on a Pixel 3 on Android 11. | Where are the options to display specific contacts in android 10 Posted: 31 Aug 2021 09:36 AM PDT So basically I wanted to see how many contacts are stored in my sim card , In older phones or any basic keypad phones has option to display options like : show only contacts from sim or show contact from phone storage or from all, but In this Andorid 10 (Android one phone ) contact app ,this option is missing entirely , I know it shows contact which are sync to my google acc but I want to see how many contacts my sim card has stored , Really google ? why you removed this basic settings ? | Posted: 31 Aug 2021 05:14 AM PDT Hey everyone, I have a couple of problems with my Note 10 Lite. First one is that the call volume was very low when on the ear speaker, so I cleaned it with a pin and the sound is great after removing the dust and lint from it, but.. in the process of cleaning it, the metal mesh covering the ear speaker on top came out, I asked Samsung support about it and they said they can't replace it by itself, is it okay without the metal mesh? Or would it get dustier and affect other parts of the device? Second problem is with the charging, I've had this problem months ago where when my battery drops below 20%, when I plug in the charger it keeps on disconnecting and I have to play around with it on different angles until it starts to charger properly on super fast charging. There is a tiny dent in the plastic inside the charging port and some metal is exposed, yet the phone had this problem even before that dent/break was there. Somehow the problem got fixed but now it's happening again, yet when I plug in the phone when it's above 20%, either side charges just fine and I don't have to angle it or anything.
