| Samsung A20 doesn't display anyting Posted: 07 Aug 2021 10:37 AM PDT So, this is a weird problem and I haven't seen it before. My brother's phone isn't displaying anything apart from the notification tray, that weird sidebar on Samsung phones and one of the icons at the bottom. We don't know how it happened and we can't turn it off, it just doesn't do it. We can't take the batery out either. We're trying to drain the battery to turn it back on and see what happens. | I need help, I forgot my pin code! Posted: 07 Aug 2021 09:26 AM PDT Hey people. I've recently been resetting all of my passwords on all of my devices and reset my phone's pin code a few hours ago. But I forgot that pin code... Now I've typed in the wrong code and that disabled the fingerprint scanner. I've tried typing like 30 different variations of what I remember to be my pincode but I just can't unlock it. I have backups for most of the important stuff on my phone but not for everything. Plus I have backups disabled so if I root it I'm gonna lose all of my photos and videos. I tried everything I could through my Google account, the "lock my phone" thing, the "find my phone" thing but unfortunately there's no "unlock my phone" feature lol. Now I have two options left. One is a program called dr. fone that is going to cost me money and that I don't really have faith in and the second is going to LG customer support (phone is LG G8s) which I will have to wait several days for which is bad because I have booked vacation.... Can someone here help me out? I'm not aware of anything else I could try besides that. Could I go to an IT Security specialist that could unlock my phone? Would that work if my other options fail? | Posted: 07 Aug 2021 08:25 AM PDT Phone: Samsung S10 Plus with Android 11 From about yesterday my phone's wifi and bluetooth haven't been working properly. Whenever I try to turn them on, the buttons either stay greyed out or they stay in a "turning on" state, I've tried turning my phone off and back on again, restarting the network settings, restarting all settings and wiping the cache partition. Sometimes after restarting my phone I'll be able to turn on my wifi and connect for a bit before it turns back off after about 10 minutes and then I can't turn the wifi back on again. Posted: 07 Aug 2021 11:38 AM PDT Hello, i am confused about sigining an app. I want to know is 'keystore.jks' file the signing key of my app that will be used to upload it and update it on google play ? Why firebase needs a fingerprint out of the keystore.jks signature in order to authenticate my clients? So what I am looking for is good everyday use, great battery. Not going to be using for anything heavy. Also privacy is a focus. I have had degoogled phones with microG before. But what I want to know is does microG helps when I login using my own actual accounts?? The roms I am considering are: Pixel Experience Plus, Miui EU debloated and degoogled, Lineage OS and \e\. I use the google cloud services for backing up a lot of stuff. So would need to login using my own account. What rom would be best for my use case? Would the migration to \e\ cloud be hasslefree? Can I set up my own service using a cloud service like next cloud? I want to interact and give out as less data as possible to google but still use apps like uber, and google pay. My old phone is Asus Zenfone Max (M1) ZB555KL running ANDROID 8. I have these phones because I need 2 SIMS: one sim is Canadian, one is Italian. On the Asus phone I was able to turn on and off or both and both work without problem. On the Umidigi the Italian sim doesn't work: under SIM STATUS I have the following" Network: no services; Mobile network state: disconnected; Service status: radio off; Signal strength:0; Mobile voice network type: unknown; Mobile data network type: unknown. I am on a Samsung Galaxy A20 with Android 10. Bottom line, I need an app or setting that will automatically delete text messages from a number I've blocked. Today, when I was using an application with dark mode on, my whole screen, except for a tiny portion at the top and an even tinier portion at the bottom, went black. Posted: 07 Aug 2021 07:44 AM PDT I have an amazon fire tablet and I have used software to successfully uninstall all amazon software, as well as block any amazon advertising. I've had it working nicely as an android tablet for months now, however I'm unable to get amazon prime video working. I've allowed Prime Video and the Appstore back on the tablet, however it says 'sign in failed' and won't allow me to log in. I'm aware the tablet has not been updated through amazon, but it's unable to update. Is there any other way I can somehow get prime working on this tablet? My only option is to probably restore the tablet, and update it. But I'd prefer to compromise not having Prime Video, as I can at least use my Fire tablet as an anroid. [link] [comments] |

Is "default screen" the home page? And it doesn't work when apps are open like reddit. Doesn't it make sense that there should be a way via gesture controls to minimize pages without having to go all the way to the bottom of the phone? That would in most cases take 2 hands for me. | Posted: 07 Aug 2021 06:27 AM PDT I just got my phone repaired 3 days ago. The issue was that my phone keep restarting and only turn on for less than a minute. I got Samsung A6+, bought it 3 years ago. It works well after repair for 3 days, then just today, i can't connect to wifi. Other phone can. But the weird thing is I can use Whatsapp. I have tried: - Restarting and shutting down phone - Using it in safe mode - Reset router (i tried using another wifi and still not working) I haven't tried factory reset because i'm afraid it will just damage the phone more (last time my phone got issue i do factory reset for like 4 times). Now I don't know if this is the new google feed or some kind of huawei feed. But it doesn't show anything I am interested in.
