| Android 12 Wireless Controller DPAD/Stick [Fix] Posted: 19 Jul 2021 04:16 AM PDT Hey, just wanted to share this fix that worked for me. I had issues with my Pixel 4a (Android 12 Beta 3) and both an Xbox Series S Controller and 8BitDo Pro 2 (Xbox and Android modes). Both controllers were working fine on my TV (Android 9). I had AnyDesk AD1 addon installed on my phone and the addon was enabled under Accessibility. I suggest anyone with this problem go to their Accessibility settings and turn off the accessibility service for all downloaded apps, then turn them back on one at a time until you find the problem app. I think the problem with the AnyDesk addon is that it simulates input and the games may have been binding to that instead of the controller. So I would assume other screen scraping, remote control, virtual input apps would all cause the same issues. Edit: I would like to add that if you open RetroArch and go to Input settings, the device choice should only be the name of your device. There should not be a choice called "virtual". Once I removed this, everything started to work correctly. There may be other software on the Android device creating this "virtual" input device that is not under accessibility, perhaps a keyboard app or something similar. [link] [comments] |
